Jeff & Jennifer are hopeful adoptive parents from Illinois waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother
We are very thankful to be among those considered in your adoption plans. We have a tremendous amount of respect for the courage it must have taken for you to come this far and know that you still have some very difficult decisions ahead. We hope we can make your current choice easier by committing to you our sincerest and eternal promise that we will love your child always and provide a safe and nurturing environment in which he or she can greatly prosper.
We first met 15 years ago just after high school, fell in love instantly, and moved in together 2 years later. We definitely believe opposites attract and have always gotten along really great. We married 6 years ago at Walt Disney World in Florida. We really enjoy doing a lot of fun things together from the simple home items such as cooking together, walking the dogs and holiday decorating to outdoor excursions such as visiting the zoo, the botanic gardens, going to movies, shopping, and so forth. One of our favorite vacation destinations is Florida which is why we chose to get married there.
Jeff is a Lead Technical Architect in Visualization Technologies. He really enjoys his job and is a role model and leader for those he works with. He has earned many rare and difficult IT industry certifications that set him apart from others in his field. In an occupation where most change jobs every 2-3 years Jeff has been with the same company for over 9 years now. His commitment has been acknowledged and returned by those he works for and he is able to enjoy many benefits not as likely elsewhere. These include shorter than normal work hours and an ability to do some work from home. Jeff is known to be a very patient and humble person who is more than willing to share his knowledge with others. Jeff is also a certified technical trainer who really enjoys both teaching and learning. One of the many reasons why he cannot wait to be a daddy is to be able to influence and participate in first-hand a child's education and personal growth.
Jen is committed to being a stay-at-home mom. Both of us had that experience growing up and want our children to have the same. She adores kids and, more importantly, kids adore her taking to her quite easily. Jen is an extremely creative person and has done work in almost every artistic field. From having her paintings displayed at the Naperville Art Gallery to creating custom scrapbook style homemade Christmas cards, if its creative or artistic, Jen has done it. She also enjoys sewing and embroidering doll and children's clothes along with a variety of pet items. Currently she is very active in the scrapbooking community, and is able to accomplish amazing things with little more than paper. Jen thinks it would be wonderful if she were able to share her creativity with a child.

We live in a brand new 4800 sq. ft. 2 story home with a finished walk-out basement on a small lake with a large fenced-in backyard. The community itself is new and built specifically with children and families in mind. Each small group of homes has their own playground, basketball hoops, baseball diamond, walking trails, and park. The community has its own elementary school within walking distance and a middle school is currently being built. There are 3 swimming pools, tennis courts and even a really large sledding hill. The community alone has many family activities and programs which are further enhanced by offerings from both the park district and the village as well. The neighborhood is filled with children and it is nice to see so many of them not just indoors but outdoors as well enjoy the many activities.
We originally had 2 dogs and 1 cat, but as fate would have it one day while driving we came across an injured Sheltie puppy in the middle of a busy road. While other cars just kept whizzing by we stopped and took him with us. Today he is as good as new and watches over our other two dogs who are both much smaller (A Shih-Tzu and a Chihuahua) like a parent. Sometime after that we were contacted by a ragdoll cat breeder that knew of us and asked if we could adopt a beautiful baby ragdoll kitten someone had found and brought to them. She really is the most amazingly loving and affectionate cat that we've ever seen or heard of. So now we have 3 dogs and 2 cats.
Jeff has one older sister who is married with two kids. Jen is an only child but has a very large local family with children of varying ages that we see often. We are both very close with our families and each year we have a big family picnic during the summer and another large gathering each Christmas at a different family members home. We also get together for birthdays and other events and just as often for no real reason at all. Both of us believe the ideal family size for us would be 2 to 3 children eventually.
We are extremely excited about being considered for adoption! We hope that after reading this you'll know that you wish to bless our family with the addition of your baby. We are eager to share our love and all that we can offer with your child and hope that you will help make this dream come true for us.
With much love,
Jeff and Jen
