Tim & Christine are hopeful adoptive parents from Virginia waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello! We are Tim and Christine and we appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us. We have much respect for you and realize that it takes great love and courage to consider adoption. We hope, through this profile, you have a chance to get to know us better and that you get a sense of our compassion and love for each other, our family and friends. We hope to fulfill your wishes of finding a loving family for your baby.

We have always wanted to be parents and have chosen to create a family through adoption because we cannot conceive a child of our own. We believe that family consists of the people who you love and who love you, and is not necessarily limited to those that are related by blood. Children are an important part of our lives and we create opportunities to be around them. We enjoy spending time with our five nieces and our friend's children who call us Uncle Tim and Aunt Chris. When with them, we are often found reading a children's book, watching a fun video or playing a game of hide and seek. Our family and friends often comment on our love of children and are very excited and supportive about us choosing to adopt a child.

About Chris and Tim Chris was born in Baltimore, MD, the second child and oldest girl in her family. Her dad was a life insurance salesman and mom stayed at home to raise the children. Chris and her three siblings had fun in the neighborhood playing freeze tag, kickball and riding bikes. They also spent a lot of time visiting family, going to the pool and enjoying family vacations.

Chris went to high school in Maryland and college in Virginia. After college, Chris went to work for a trade association and then to a national charity where she’s been for the past 10 years working with and on behalf of children. Starting in January 2009, Chris will stop working to focus on our family, and when the time comes, be a stay at home mom.

Tim says about Chris…
Chris is my best friend. I love spending time with her, whether hiking and biking, traveling or visiting family, or just living our day-to-day lives. We compliment each other well. She is very thoughtful and brings a lot of special touches to our lives. She makes our house a home.

Chris is very well grounded in her values. Family and friends are always her priority. Chris has always wanted to be a wife and mother in a loving family, just like the family in which she was raised. She will be a loving mother. I am very thankful to have Chris at the center of my life.

Tim was born in Washington, DC as the second of three sons. He and his brothers enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball and basketball. He also spent time with his neighborhood friends, taking hikes to the stream. At 14, Tim caught the golf bug and still enjoys playing to this day.

Tim graduated from college with a BS in Finance and went on to get his Master’s Degree, also in Finance. He has worked for the same national construction company for 24 years and has worked his way up to a high-level management position. Tim has a strong work ethic and a great desire to succeed in everything he does. This is evident by the fact that Tim went to graduate school while working full time.

Chris says about Tim…
Tim is a great husband. He is upbeat and positive, and has the ability to make people around him feel at home and comfortable. He is sweet, kind, smart, handsome, generous, loyal and funny! If Tim says he is going to do something, you can rely on him. He is responsible and dependable, and loves spending time with our nieces. They are crazy about him and it’s always a highlight when Uncle Tim walks into the room.

Tim is fun to be around and loves to think of activities we can do, like go for a hike or bike ride, go to a museum or visit friends. He is a great athlete and an exceptional golfer. I am not as good an athlete, but he helps ma along and is so patient when he teaches me golf.
Our Lives Together We live in Northern Virginia not far from Washington, DC. We love to take advantage of all the wonderful things this area has to offer, museums, musicals and walks along the Potomac. We live in a home with plenty of room for our family to grow. It has four bedrooms, a nice backyard and a big kitchen to cook family meals and make chocolate chip cookies. Our home is on a court with lots of families with little children. Our community has a Halloween parade and Fourth of July picnic with fireworks.

We love to spend time together...being both silly and serious. We love hiking, biking, going to sporting events and watching movies. We go on walks through the neighborhood, go on road trips and read in bed. We enjoy swimming at the local pool and Tim is eager to teach a child to be a golfer like him.

Our relationship is built on trust and communication. We respect each other and know we can depend on each other. Family is the most important thing in our lives. Our family and friends live close by and we enjoy spending time with them. Our families are very eager to love a child we bring into our home.

Traditions are very important to our family, and have been ever since we were kids. We see our families often whether it’s a Sunday dinner, holiday, birthday or family vacation. We host Thanksgiving and enjoy having the house filled with laughter and, of course, the smell of great turkey. We are eager to create more traditions that include the tooth fairy, Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.

Every year, our family goes to Bethany Beach. We have been going since Chris was a child, and the group has grown as the family grows. The trip is a lot of fun for a child. We build sand castles, play in the water, go for walks and bike rides, play board games and charades, have delicious family dinners and eat lots of ice cream. We look forward to it every year. We also take trips to Maine, Iowa and Deep Creek Lake.
Thank you! Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and get to know us a little better. We hope our profile conveys how incredibly loved and nurtured a precious child will be in our family. We'd love to hear from you and want to answer any questions you may have.

We imagine that this is a difficult decision for you and that you may at times feel sad or worried. Please know that you will always be an important part of your child's life. The color of the child's hair or the sound of his or her voice - these things will forever come from you. We hope your final decision brings you peace of mind knowing that we will dedicate our life to your baby's safe, secure and happy future.

Chris and Tim
