Hi There We are Marcel and Rebecca and we are excited at the change to share our lives and ourselves with you. We can not begin to image the difficulty you are having going down this path and we hope that as you read about us that is will make your journey a little bit easier. We are a fun loving couple and we hope that you enjoy what you read.

We met in February of 2001 over the Internet of all places. We met in a chat site and about a month of talking over the Internet we started talking on the phone, we became best friends before we new it. After spending countless hours and months talking on the phone every night we decided to meet. Marcel is from Ontario Canada, and I am from Alaska, two very far apart places. We decided that Marcel would come to Alaska for a two-week visit and he never left. We fell in love on the first day he was here and we have not been apart for even one night since July of 2001.

Marcel and I have had a few hurdles to jump over the last 6 years. Marcel moved to a new country and also learned that it gets a little chilly in Alaska in the wintertime. In the fall of 2003 we packed up all of our stuff and our dog and drove from Alaska to Oregon, thinking that it would be fun to living somewhere new. After 10 months we realized that is gets pretty lonely without family around, so we pack up all of our stuff again and drove back to Alaska, which was the best decision we have ever made.

Marcel Marcel started working for my Mom Connie in 2004 whom owns a Pet and Garden Store. It is a family run business, our Uncle Ray, Aunt Anita, Brother in Law Pete, Mother Connie, Step Dad Mark, and myself all work there. Soon after Marcel came to work at the store, my Mom Connie asked Pete and Marcel if they would like to take over the family business when she retires. We were thrilled at the opportunity, Pete and Marcel are great friends and are having fun learning what it take to run a business, My Mom Connie has been showing them so many things, Connie is very active and full of life and if it was up to her she may never retire . In Marcel’s spare time he like to work on our computer, he likes taking them apart and learning all about how they work and operate, he is getting better at it, he hasn’t crashed our computer lately:) Marcel is taking computer class at the local college, so he can help maintain the family business. Marcel loves to play hockey. Marcel and our brother in law Pete shovel off the pond next to our house every winter and play hockey. He has been teaching our 5-year-old niece Jailyn to skate and how to sink a puck. He also likes to write poems, short stories and paint. Our niece Jailyn Loves Marcel to death. She couldn't pronounce his name when she was young, so he became Uncle Momar and it has stuck. It is really cute you ask her about her Uncle Marcel and she will tell you she doesn't have one. He will do anything for her. They love to play dress up with Polly Pocket and Baby Alive.

Rebecca Now a little about myself, I started working at the family business the summer of 2007, I am the bookkeeper and love working there. It is so great to be working for the family, we all get a long so well. I love working with Marcel even after more than 6 years or marriage we are still best friends and we do everything together. In my spare I like to make jewelry, I make and sell necklaces, earrings, and bracelets at our family store.

Our family is very supportive of use adopting. Since we are not able to conceive we have looked forward to adoption. Our family not only works together, we all live near each other, within a few minutes. We don’t want our children to go to daycare so as a family will all take turns with the kids, we live next door to my mom’s house, my brother Chris, and my sister with her family is about a 2-minute walk away.
My niece Jailyn and I like to get together and make stuff, sometimes we make pretty necklaces for Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Momar, Mamma and Daddy. We also like to do tye dye shirts and pants, she really likes pinks and purples so everybody gets very pretty shirts, even the boys.

Our Lola There is one more family member in our house to talk about, and that is our dog Lola. She is such a close part of our family; we have had her since she was a puppy. When Marcel and I are not at work we are with our dog Lola. She is so sweet and loving, every night she gets to come snuggle in bed with us, and she always gets in the middle (she knows where the best spot is). She loves to go over to my Mom’s house and play. She has a really big yard, our Niece Jailyn comes over all the time to Grandma’s house and throws balls for Lola. Every chance Lola gets she likes to give Jailyn some kisses. Lola is really well behaved and calm. She is a big couch potato in the winter times, and a swimming fool in the summer time. She LOVES tennis balls, she will do almost anything for you to throw a ball for her. It is really funny when she get tired she will flop down into a mud puddle and cool her belly.

We’ve chosen open adoption to ensure that everyone involved agrees on the best future of the child and we hope that learning a bit about us will make your decision a little easier. We would be happy to keep in touch over the years and would like to be as open as you like. We have deep respect for you and the difficult decision you are facing. Marcel and I have so much love in our hearts and in our life and support you with the choice that you make. We want to be very respectful of you and your wishes and we want you to become an extension of our family because we feel family has no size limit.
