Hello... How do you put into words the tremendous sacrifice you are making and the wonderful gift you will make possible? We can never say that we understand what you’ve been going through and the difficulty both physically and emotionally this decision has been for you. Not only can we not comprehend what you are experiencing, we have no way of putting into words our gratitude and appreciation for you. A deep sense of awe and wonder overcome us as we think of the immeasurable love that you have for your precious baby. As we try to express the feelings that we have for you already in our hearts, we find that words cannot tell, nor could we ever fully express the love that we have for you. We can only say how thankful we are that you would consider trusting us with such a special part of your life. We hope that this letter will help you get to know who our family is a little better.

A Little Bit About Us... Eric and I met in July of 2002. We can honestly say that we were meant to meet each other. The day that we met my roommate and I had gone up to the lake to work on our tans. While we were minding our own business a boat with two boys (Eric and his friend) approached our dock and asked us if we would like to go for a ride. My roommate immediately hopped aboard and I can safely say that that was the end of that. We were married that November. Five years later we’re still going stronger than ever. Eric and I have a very strong marriage that has been created through not only the good times that we’ve shared but also through the many trials that we have faced. We’ve really had to learn to rely on one another.

Eric
Eric is the most amazing person I have ever met. He is the second child in a family of four. He has an older sister and two younger brothers. He is very dedicated and hardworking. He has always made sure that our family has had everything that we’ve needed. He also has a soft side. Eric is a very compassionate, loyal, and fun-loving person. I love watching him with our son. The bond that they share is so special. Tayeson loves spending time with his “buddy”. Eric is on his way to completing his Masters Degree in May of 2009. He is studying to be a Physician Assistant. He has worked so hard to learn what he needs so that he can graduate and provide the life he has always wanted for his family. He loves to be outdoors whether it be biking, water skiing, or just talking a walk with us. He also loves to take things apart and try to fix them, sometimes to my everlasting dismay. I would have to say that Eric’s favorite past time is being with his family.

Whit
Whitney is a very special person. She is the oldest of six kids. She has two younger sisters and three younger brothers. She is caring and compassionate, giving and thoughtful, and always puts our family first. It has been wonderful for me to watch her transition from a wonderful wife to a loving mother. She has a lot to do with what a wonderful kid Tayeson is becoming. Whit loves to do anything crafty. She has recently learned how to quilt and has already made a blanket for the baby. She really loves to read and also enjoys spending time outdoors. She too loves to spend time with our family.

Tayeson
Taye is our beautiful three-year-old son. He is one of the most energetic, busy kids I’ve ever met but he is also the most compassionate little boy I know. He always knows when you need a hug and kiss or just a simple I love you. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. We are both so excited to see Taye as a big brother. It’s so much fun to watch him coo over our friends’ babies. He prays every night is that his baby brother or sister will be safe and will come home soon.

Our Interests... Our favorite past times are always those that we can do together. We love to be outdoors whether we’re playing at the shore, camping, hiking, playing at the park, or just taking a walk around downtown. We love to watch movies together, go out to eat, or visit the library. We really enjoy traveling as a family. We love it when we get the chance to go see new places. We can’t wait to be able to take our kids to Disney World and all of those places that we loved as children. We enjoy playing games together, reading, and visiting many of the local museums and kids spots around the city. We’ve really loved being able to start our own family traditions as well as continue some of those that we had growing up. Taye’s current love is singing. We enjoy teaching him the songs that we sung as kids and listen to those that he makes up. We’re so excited to help Taye learn and develop the talents that he has, whatever they may be. All three of us are so excited to be able to share all of these things with another beautiful baby.

Our Promise To You... The one thing that we hope to be able to teach our children is that they are loved no matter what they do. We want to have a very open relationship with our children, one in which they would be comfortable enough to come to us no matter the situation. We hope to instill in them a strong sense of self with a full knowledge of where they come from. We truly believe that our children are our greatest gifts and we hope that we are able to convey that message clearly to them through both word and deed. We want to teach our children the importance of family, integrity, and hard work.

We have talked a lot about how open we would like the adoption to be. We are more than willing to exchange letters and pictures. We are also willing to consider a more open adoption under the right circumstances, if that is your wish. We would love to meet with you and talk over your desires for future communication.

We are so excited for this wonderful opportunity to adopt and to bring another sweet little baby into our family. We have wanted another child for some time now and are very excited to add to our little family. We want you to know how loved your sweet baby will be. We can promise you that he or she will never want for love or for the things that she needs. He or she has grandparents and many aunts and uncles that are eagerly awaiting their arrival just as anxiously as we are.

We sincerely hope that you are able to find the perfect family for you precious child and that you will be at peace with your decision. We both hope that you have the support that you need as you go through this process and that all will be well with you both.
