Marc & Renee are hopeful adoptive parents from Michigan waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

"An emptiness will soon be filled" read our fortune we received at an evening family dinner at a Chinese restaurant. We are hoping and praying that this will come true. Just as you are searching for the right parents to raise your baby, we are searching for the joy and fulfillment a child will bring to our family. Although we have endured much heartbreak in trying to have more children, our hearts are filled with joy and excitement. We are thrilled that adoption may give us the opportunity to have the family that we have dreamed of.

After 11 years of marriage, we are still so much in love and are each others best friend. Children were always part of our lifes plan. With a good amount of effort, our daughter, Alexa, was born to us in 2002. Her birth was a dream come true! We have created a nurturing, fun-filled, loving home for our children to be raised.
About Us ABOUT MARC (BY RENEE)
Marc is a devoted husband and father. He often reminds me that his #1 goal is to make us happy. He is a great cook, handyman and computer whiz. He is also a huge sports fan! Marc is a 4th grade teacher. Teaching is his passion. He is honestly one of those people who loves going to work everyday. His job is so ideal for family life as well. With his extra time off, he and Alexa enjoy some great bonding time. They often go fishing, swimming at our neighborhood beach, and exploring for bugs. He can't wait to share these things with another child as well. Marc has a great sense of humor. Adults and children love being around him because of his fun-loving, comedic nature.

ABOUT RENEE (BY MARC)
Renee's greatest joy in life is being a mother. Her favorite times are spent reading, coloring, playing board games and just snuggling with Alexa on the couch. She is always looking for ways to enrich our daughters life. As Alexa started school this year, Renee has enjoyed being involved in school activities such as class field trips and volunteering in the classroom. Renee is looking forward to spending quality one on one time with our next child like she was fortunately able to do with Alexa. Renee is a nurse practitioner and works part time. Taking care of her patients gives her a great sense of fulfillment. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrap booking and exercising. I am in awe at the amount of energy Renee has when it comes to keeping our family moving. She will always take those extra steps to put our family in a better position to enjoy life.

ABOUT ALEXA
Alexa is six years old and is in kindergarten. She is such a fun, sweet, loving girl. She is always giving us hugs and telling us how much she loves us. Like most children her age, she is bursting with energy! She loves going outside to play with her friends. Usually you will find her riding bikes,
playing on the swing set, or playing in the park that is across the street from our home. In the summer she enjoys swimming at the beach and riding down the inflatable water slide that Marc puts up in the backyard. She is taking dance classes and gymnastics. More than anything, Alexa loves horses. She is looking forward to her first riding lesson. Alexa will be a fabulous big sister. She says she will teach her new brother or sister everything and share her toys as well (we'll see about that!)

ABOUT US AS A FAMILY
Our family has an adventerous spirit. We love to explore and discover new things. In the summer, we spend many long weekends camping. We always try to go somewhere we have never been before. Our latest adventures have taken us bike riding around Mackinac Island, swimming in the falls in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and on a nature scavenger hunt in Traverse City. Our other recent travels include lounging at a beach house in North Carolina and Disney World. We plan to purchase a camper trailer this year. Our explorations will be endless as we travel the country in style.
We have just as much fun together just hanging around home. In summer we are often out riding bikes, swimming at the beach, going to the zoo and hanging out with friends on our back yard deck. In the winter, we are out sledding or building snowmen. While indoors, we enjoy playing games, coloring and reading. Alexa and Marc are pros at Guitar hero and Alexa and Renee like to duke it out in Dance Dance Revolution. Whatever our day brings, we try to carve out a little time each day for some fun.
HOME AND FAMILY OUR FAMILY
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful, loving family. They support us completely in all of our decisions. Marc is the older of two and Renee has a older sister and younger brother. All of our siblings are married and have children. Between the two of us, we have 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Alexa loves spending time with her cousins. They range in age from 17 to 1. Our parents all live close by and are very involved in our life. They are always available to babysit and make it for most of Alexa's big events. Renee's mother was our child care provider for Alexa after Renee went back to work. She is again looking forward to spending quality time with her next grandchild while Renee works 2-3 days per week.

OUR HOME
We live in a great community in southeast Michigan. It is the perfect place to raise a family. It has a small town feel, but is also close to everything. Our four bedroom home is in a subdivision that is filled with young families. It is truly a beautiful place to live. Our neighborhood has multiple lakes, walking paths, parks and a golf course. We live close enough to walk downtown where there are weekly concerts in the park in summertime and holiday festivals. We are also able to walk to the library and the ice cream store (Renee's favorite place!). We have a highly rated school system, where currently, Alexa is flourishing in kindergarten.
OUR PROMISE TO YOU We will be eternally grateful to you for entrusting your precious child to us. There is no greater gift that a child. We want you to know that your child will be surrounded by love. He/She will be given every opportunity to grow and succeed in whatever he/she wishes to do. We will stress the importance of a good education as the foundation for a better life. We will also stress the importance of faith & charity, by raising our children in the Catholic church and giving of ourselves to others. We will always be open and honest about how we became a family. Your child will know that you loved him/her and that you made the best possible choice for his/her future. We thank you for getting to know a little about us. We look forward to getting to know you and discussing our mutual goals.
