Trey & Lynnette are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Parents,
Hi! We are Trey & Lynnette and are excited and grateful to be sharing this experience with you. Your courage and unselfishness is an inspiration to us and our families. We realize that making an adoption plan is a very difficult decision, and we highly respect you for making this choice. Thank you for taking the time to look at our life. We are in our thirties and have always dreamed of having a family since the first year that we were married. We truly feel blessed to be going through the adoption process for the second time. We believe that all children are a gift from God, no matter how they arrive. And that's why we are so
proud to continue to grow our family through adoption!
Starting a family was something we always knew we would do as soon as possible! Arriving at the decision of adoption was something we strongly believe that God had His hand in. From the beginning of our fertility treatment road, we always said that adoption would be a “calling from God”. Choosing adoption seemed like the easiest decision that we made during those times. We have been on what we call an "adoption high" since our son's arrival. We love having the opportunity to tell family & friends about Tradd's beautiful story and the loving birth family that he has. This process has already taught us and so many others we know the value and gift of adoption.
What a blessing!
About us....
We have been married for 6 years! We met when mutual friends set us up on a "blind date". The match couldn't have been more perfect from the beginning. Our first date was at the coast one summer. We quickly realized how compatible we are, sharing the same love of the outdoors and water. We feel fortunate to have a close relationship based upon love, communication, and security. We have been using these same attributes that have made us strong as a couple, as building blocks for our family and are looking forward to sharing this love with another child.
Trey writes about Lynnette.....
Lynnette is a very kind and nurturing person. She is happiest when she is doing something for others. She was born and raised in a small town in the southeast and went to college to become a nurse. She comes from a large family, enjoying childhood memories with 2 brothers and a sister. She has always dreamed of having a large family of her own one day. Lynnette enjoys the outdoors. Her hobbies include fishing, boating, hiking, traveling, cooking (her shrimp enchildas are the best!), and exercising with our two yellow labs, Trigger and Sadie. Lynnette has been enjoying being a stay-at-home mom since Tradd was born. She enjoys filling her days with playdates with Tradd's buddies, trips to the zoo, and being a part of Tradd's music & gymnastics classes.
Lynnette writes about Trey....
Trey is my very best friend. I think he is incredibly strong and compassionate. Although Trey would describe himself as the “quiet” type, I know that his thoughts are worth waiting to hear. His is very creative and has a great and wise prospective on life. Fatherhood has come naturally for Trey. It has been rewarding watching his interaction with our son. Tradd always runs to greet his dad after work to share his latest trick! Trey’s nickname among friends is “Mr. Fix It”, because he can practically fix or build anything from scrap. He enjoys planning projects for our nieces & nephews that involve some type of wood working, like building race cars, catapults, & doll houses. His other hobbies include fishing, hunting, boating and photography. As a child he enjoyed playing soccer, baseball and basketball. He started working for his family’s construction company doing “odd” jobs at age 13. After college, he continued working with his father for eight years until starting his own company several years ago. Trey is a fantastic father. Our son, nieces and nephews look up to him in so many ways and for great reasons! His love for outdoor activities makes him the “fishing/boating/building” expert at any given time… and what makes Trey so special is that he loves to teach and share his knowledge and experience about life.
Our Family life....
Our little angel....
Tradd was born January 4, 2007 and was lovingly placed in our arms January 7, 2007. He has a beautiful adoption story beginning with the deep love that his birth parents & birth grandparents both share for him. From the beginning, Tradd has been the most laid back, happy-go-lucky little boy. During his first semester in gymnastics class, when he was only 8 months old, his teacher gave him the “happiest baby award”. Tradd would always laugh and play the most, which made the teacher and even other parents smile! He has given our family so much happiness since his arrival and we are forever grateful for the plan that his birth parents made for him. Tradd is 100% boy, figuring out how to work all of the TV remotes in the house from day 1 (this made his Dad so proud!). Remote controls are still one of his favorite toys along with, telephones, cars, fire trucks, balls, trains, & books to name a few. He loves going on daily walks with our two dogs and playing outside on his swing and play set. Tradd is growing up so fast and we are enjoying ever minute of it! He seems to tackle new milestones everyday, the latest being able to wash his own hair during bath time and giving hugs (boy-is that cute!).
Tradd loves being around other children, especially all of his cousins. Watching him follow them around reminds us how much children learn from other children. Tradd will be a great big brother someday offering all the lessons in life that an older sibling can! We are excited about the idea of another baby in the house and can’t wait to see what God has in store for our family!
Four legged family members....
Sadie and Trigger are our yellow labs. Sadie is a 4 year old female and Trigger is a 12 year old male. Both are very laid back and enjoy nothing more than a swim at the beach or the opportunity to steal some crumbs from underneath Tradd’s highchair. They are really great with children and have been “borrowed” by neighborhood kids for walks around the block and “show and tell” at school! Many mornings, Trigger & Sadie are the first ones into Tradd’s room to say “good morning”. Both of our four legged family members would be delighted to have another little one around the house! Someone to play fetch with and keep company…
Lynnette's family.....
Lynnette’s family is very close. We like to refer to ourselves as the “Brady Bunch”, after Brenda and Harold were married nearly 27 years ago. They blended two families, each having a boy and a girl. Brenda’s children are Lynnette and Cary and Harold’s children are Craig and Angela. Craig and Angela’s biological mother was also adopted, so our entire family is excited and proud to continue our family tree through adoption. Lynnette’s side of the family are huge animal lovers, sharing 7 dogs and 2 cats between her parents and siblings. Brenda and Harold’s hobbies include training labs and competing in dog trials. Lynnette’s parents are all about fun! They cherish annual family events like our July 4th Fireworks Party at the beach and large family gatherings during the holidays when the karaoke machine always makes it out! They too have a love for the outdoors, and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren at their ranch where there is fishing, tractor riding, and lots of fun to be had!
Trey's family.....
Trey comes from a big family, also. We think Big = Good! Trey has a twin sister, Stacey and older sister, Lisa. Between them, there are 5 nieces and nephews from ages 9 – 15 years. Everyone can’t wait to have another cousin with the addition of our child! Trey’s parents, Walter and Diana were married for 24 years and are both now happily remarried. Both sets are very active and involved grandparents. They are very excited to share their love and attention with another grandchild.
The entire family lives within five miles of each other, which is very important for our family life. We enjoy Sunday night get togethers and spending time at the ball park watching the kids play their respective sports – volleyball, basketball, football, baseball and soccer! We also plan many of our vacations as a family, enjoying spring break and summer trips to various places. With Trey’s side of the family living so close, our children will always have lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, & grandparents to share childhood memories with!
How we live....
Our Home.....
We live in a large city in Texas, yet feel we get the advantages of a small community. Our house is in a well established neighborhood, just a few blocks from the house where Trey grew up. Our lot is on the corner of a very “quite” street & allows for lots of spacious outdoor living. We have a play set and swing fully equipping our backyard for “play time”. Our home is just a few miles from the school system, fire department, and our church. There are families of all ages in our neighborhood, including many young and school age children. The room that we have picked out for the nursery is directly next to our room, allowing us to be
within arm’s reach!
Our Coast House....
Our love for fishing, boating and coastal lifestyle makes the coast our #1 place to hang out. Trey’s family has a vacation home there and Lynnette’s parents live there full time. Spending time with our family is very important, so a few years ago we decided that getting a place of our own would be a great investment. We spend most weekends out of the month there, even during the off season. Whether it’s fishing from the dock, seashell hunting on the beach, or trying our luck catching crabs – there are so many fun activities to share with a child.
Vacations....
We love to travel and experience different cultures. Planning vacations is something we both like to make a priority. A lot of our trips are taken together as a family, which makes it fun to be with our parents, siblings, and nieces & nephews. Our favorite spots are The Bahamas (we got engaged there!), New York City, South Carolina, Mexico, Florida, Colorado, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Italy. We would like to plan trips to Disney World, MGM Studios, and other kid-friendly places like Lego Land some day when our children are ready for that type of fun!
Our promise.....
Thank you again for taking the time to look at us. We have enjoyed gathering the photos and looking back on the places that we have been together this far in life. We want you to know how large our hearts are and how thrilled we would be to share our love and blessings with your child. The plan that you have chosen for your child is an answer to our prayers. We know that your extraordinary courage and unselfishness will be rewarded many times throughout your lifetime for choosing an adoptive family to love and cherish your child. We are able to provide a loving, secure home with a large extended family. We plan to share this loving story of adoption from the very beginning and are looking forward to making a post-adoption plan. If and when you are ready, we would love to share photos and updates.
The decision is completely yours to make.
Good luck to you now and forever!
