We've Adopted a Son

Dear Birthmother, Hi
We are Brian, Kristen and Aidan. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. Even though we do not know you we have a great amount of respect and admiration for you. We can only try to understand the difficulty in the decision that lies ahead of you and we offer you our support and prayers. It is obvious that you are a loving, courageous and selfless woman who is trying to make the best decision for her child. We cannot truly understand everything you are going through but please know that you are in our prayers.

Hopefully, through our profile you will be able to get a feel for who we are and how much we would love to share our lives with your child.

Our story
Brian and I met through mutual friends. We spoke on the phone and via e-mail for a couple of months before we had our first date. The date lasted for hours and we knew right away we would spend the rest of our lives together. We did so many things while we were dating. During the summer months we went to many baseball games. We would also go into the city, out to dinner, or take a weekend get away. The courtship was amazing and it gave us time to solidify our bond and experience life together as a couple. We knew it was meant to be and one year after our first date we were married. We had a beautiful church ceremony and an amazing reception with all of our friends and family supporting us. Besides being deeply in love with each other, we are also best friends.

Brian and I both come from large families. He has two brothers and a sister and I have two brothers and two sisters. We have always known that we wanted a large family of our own. After having one miscarriage, we were blessed to give birth to our son Aidan. Due to medical complications it was decided that it would be too risky for me, and the baby, if I was to get pregnant again. Having a large family has always been a dream of ours regardless of how a child comes into our lives. We continue to pray for the opportunity to welcome more children into our hearts and home.

As a couple we enjoy cooking dinner, sharing household responsibilities, going to the movies and dancing. As a family we love to relax at the park, take walks, travel, play games, and have family get-togethers. Our home is filled with love and laughter and we dream of expanding our family by adopting a child. We will provide a life where your child feels secure in the love and support of their family. We will raise your child with Christian values and we will promote respect for all people. Our children will be encouraged to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be, and we plan to provide for a college education and other opportunities as well. We have a very strong community of support with our family and friends and they are all eager to welcome our newest member.

Adoption is already a big part of our lives. One of my brothers and one of my sisters is adopted..
I also have quite a few cousins who were adopted and some of them have gone on to adopt children of their own. Brian has a cousin that is also adopted. Within the past five years Brian’s brother adopted three of his children. We have both spoken to various people about their roles in adoption which has helped us to gain a better insight and understanding of how it effects everyone involved.
About Us Brian talks about Kristen
Kristen is a very caring and kind person and I love her very much. She comes from a very close-knit extended family with many cousins, nieces and nephews. She has worked with children all of her life and has enjoyed it immensely.
Once Aidan was born she quit her teaching job and is now a stay-at-home mom. Kristen takes Aidan to various ‘mommy and me’ programs and they have play dates at least once a week.. They also go to a ‘mommy and me’ gym class and a music class. They have no shortage of activities to do together. Many days she can be found taking Aidan on a walk or at the park where they can feed the animals or play on the playground.
Kristen gets a great joy out of gardening every spring, Aidan has become quite the helper. She also enjoys reading and is part of a book club. Kristen has always loved children and still dreams of having a large family of her own. She is a wonderful and devoted mother and wife.

Kristen talks about Brian
Brian would best be described as a warm and caring husband, father, brother, son and friend. He too comes from a large extended family that is very close. Brian is especially close with his dad, Aidan’s ‘Poppy’, and adored his mom who passed away in 2005.
Brian has a great sense of humor. He is a kid at heart and enjoys playing as much as the kids do. Brian is an extremely supportive and loving person. He is a wonderful husband and I have witnessed him first hand instantaneously become an amazing father. Aidan is his “best buddy” and has been since the moment he was born.

Brian is a hard worker and is very successful. He is doing well at his job and has the opportunity for advancement. Brian has formed strong bonds at work and is respected by his employers and coworkers. We are grateful that he is able to get home in time for dinner and spend the evenings with Aidan and me.

About Aidan
Aidan is the light of our lives. He is a very gentle little boy, who loves to give hugs and kisses. We can see that he has a good sense of humor even at such a young age. From the time he was born we would read to him and we continue to do so every single day. He loves to color and play outdoors. Aidan enjoys so much in life. He loves to dance and sing. When we take him to gymnastics class he cannot wait to jump on the trampoline or swing from the rings. He gets such a kick out of everything he does.

Many of our friends have children Aidan’s age and we get to see them often. Aidan has a blast with his friends and cousins. He enjoys blowing kisses to the little babies, playing peek-a-boo with them and tickling their feet. We know that he will be an amazing big brother.

Our Home We live in a family oriented neighborhood, with many parks, beaches and amusements within driving distance.

Our home is a two story 4 bedroom colonial, with a large family room that is set up for fun. We have a large yard with lots of toys and climbers for all of the kids to use when they come over.

Our family
We are a family that loves to have fun! We spend a lot of quality time together – whether it is just the three of us, or if we’re with our extended family. We are fortunate enough to have a large family with 11 nieces and nephews ranging from 3 to 19 years of age. Our family gets together often and the children all enjoy playing together.

Holidays, birthdays and special occasions are best when spent with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Our Promise We have been truly blessed. We have a wonderful marriage, a loving family, a beautiful home in a neighborhood full of children.

We have so much love to share with another child and would like to work with you in the adoption process. We respect your decision to follow your heart and pray that God will give you the strength and courage to do what is best for your child.

If we are given this privilege to adopt your baby, always know that we will love and cherish your child and they will forever know the sacrifices that you have made out of love.

Thank you once again for taking the time to read our story. We wish you all the best in everything you do, especially in the coming months when you will be faced with some tough decisions.
