Steve & Andrea are hopeful adoptive parents from Maryland waiting to adopt a baby.

Hi there... We are Steve and Andrea, and we’re so glad you are reading our letter! Although we are in very different circumstances, in some ways we are the same. We both find ourselves in a situation that we wish we could change. You have an unplanned pregnancy, yet love the child that you will give birth to. We may not be able to bear children, but would love to have a baby for our family. My husband and I have longed for a child for some time, but are having difficulty doing so. Our goal is to be parents, and through adoption, we can love and cherish a child. We invite you to get to know us, and hope that you will feel the love we have for each other and the love we have to share with any little one who comes into our lives through the loving gift of adoption.

Us... We are a loving, married, Christian couple who are so very grateful that you seek a loving family to raise and nurture your child. While we could never imagine how difficult this time in your life must be as you consider adoption, we are praying that God will give you some peace as you make this decision.

As her loving husband of 13 years, let me tell you about Andrea. She has a playful, fun-loving attitude toward life. She makes our time together so much fun that I have learned to love spending time with her doing anything (including shopping!). She is thoughtful, reflective and expresses a sense of wonder toward experiencing new, uncharted adventures. Andrea helps out in the nursery at church and loves her nieces and nephews. I can already tell she is going to be a great mom.

As his best friend for the past 13 years, let me tell you about Steve. He has a sincere passion for God, and loves me more than life. He loves to make me happy! One of the first things I noticed about him, was that every time he entered a room, he had a big grin on his face. That told my much about his disposition. He is happy and sunny. He so badly wants to be a dad... he loves sports, reading biographies... he has a special knack for playing with children on their level... he can see what their imagination may come up with and play right along. For now, he plays with his nieces and nephews and our dog. He is ready to play with a precious son or daughter.

Who we are... Just to let you know a little about us, we will tell you about our home and the activities we enjoy. We live in a comfortable cottage-style home on a half acre of land, with a big, fenced-in yard. Steve has been pastor of a church for 10 years, and Andrea is a Research Services Analyst for cancer doctors in a large university medical center.

We have a 6 year old Beagle named “Blaze,” whom we love to take on day-hikes in the state parks in our area. She loves being on the trail, leading the way with her nose stuck to the ground! We love the sound of the birds singing in the trees, the water splashing over rocks, and catching a glimpse of a deer in a clearing. We love being outdoors in nature, either in the mountains or at the beach, and take vacations with our extended family to enjoy the sand, sun and ocean, or the mountain trails and streams. There is only one thing missing – a child. We promise to raise any child we adopt with love, values, faith and a love of life.

What's next? We would like to meet with you so that we can better know each other and determine if our situations are a good fit. We are also willing to maintain a limited relationship with you after the child is born. If you select us as parents, we would be happy to supply you with pictures and letters and let you know what the child is doing at every age. Of course, we also want to respect your privacy and the life you have ahead of you.

We can pay for your legal expenses and any medical expenses you might have if you do not have insurance. All information exchanged between you and us will remain confidential. We have retained an attorney so that everything we do will be legal, ethical, and efficient.
