If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Who we are
Dear BirthMom:
A note for you:
This is a little note to let get to know about us. First off and most importantly we want you to know how courageous and amazing we think you are. I have a sister who was in your same situation and know firsthand the challenging and emotional this time is for you right now. I can promise that your baby will be loved, safe and secure in our home. Dan and I had always considered adoption as a way for our family to grow. We cannot thank you enough for giving us the time to read about our family and wish you much peace and comfort in making the very best choice for your baby.
How we met:
Dan and Jen met in 2002 and dated for about 2 years before getting married in May of 2004. Both of our families were there to support our union. The commitments we made to each other are very important to both of us. Love, Honesty, Family, Integrity, and a good sense of humor are all cherished and important virtues that we hold dear to our hearts. We are completely committed to each other and consider our family to be our greatest treasure.
Dan and Jen
About Jen by Dan:
Jen is one of the most caring and unselfish people I know. She is smart, loyal and very giving. I knew from the day we met that she was someone very special. I love that she is very motivated, organized and likes to get things done. Peter has “The Best Mom Ever” and I have a great friend and companion. Like me, she loves to spend as much time outside as possible.
About Dan by Jen:
Dan is a great husband. He loves our family and you can see it all the time by the way he lives his life. He works really hard to support us but still spends oodles of time with us doing all kinds of family activities. He loves to be outside enjoying the rain, sun and snow. He is very open and approachable which makes being with him very comforting. I tell him all the time that when we are together I am on a “Permanent Vacation.”
Peter
About Peter:
Our greatest blessing thus far has been our incredible son Peter. Peter was born in November of 2005. We enjoy his energetic spirit and personality. He loves cars, trucks, boats, planes, rocks, playing in the dirt and eating chocolate donuts. He also LOVES grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and lots of cousins. He is a friend to everyone and brings a smile to our faces about a million times a day.
About my Parents from Peter:
My Mom and Dad are great. My dad is always playing fun games with me and teaching me new tricks. My mom is always kissing and hugging and reminding me how much she loves me. Of course, I love them too and try to tell them all the time. I enjoy sitting on the couch eating cheetos with my dad while my mom is cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. She loves to bake and after I go to bed I can smell cookies in the oven all the time. It makes my dreams that much sweeter. My dad also likes to take me on hikes and bike rides. I especially love it when we go swimming it is one of my favorite things to do. I can’t wait for a brother or sister who I can play with and take care of! I will love them tons and tons and teach them how to play with cars and trucks and all kinds of fun stuff.
Our Family
About Our family:
We love spending as much time together as possible doing all kinds of fun things. We try to experience all we can and hope to continue to do so forever and ever. Unconditional love for family and our Heavenly Father are always present in our home. We live our lives to the best of our ability knowing we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to have this opportunity to share and grow as a family. Thanks again to you for being the sweet spirit you are! We look forward to the opportunity of meeting you and getting to know you. We respect and admire you for the selfless decision you are making for your child.
Love,
Dan, Jen and Peter
