We understand the decision to create an adoption plan is a difficult one, and that your goal is not to find just “any” parents, but to find the “right” parents to raise your child. We realize the decision to allow another to raise your child takes tremendous courage and trust. It is this same decision that Brandie’s birthmother made when she placed Brandie for adoption into the loving family that raised her from an infant. We hope to continue this story and pledge to raise your child to be a strong as you. It has been difficult to write this letter as there is so much we want to share with you about us, and so much we want to know about you. We want to provide a glimpse into the world your child will have with us when placed into our lives.

True Love: We’ve been married for 10 years in a strong, supportive relationship based on trust, communication and fun! We are grateful for each other, and are eager to share our love and lives with a child. We enjoy various outdoor and indoor activities, ranging from boating and wakeboarding to cooking dinner and watching movies. We enjoy any activity as long as we’re together. One thing we can’t wait to share with your child is our love to travel. We look forward to traveling together to explore different places and seeing the world through a child’s eyes.

About Brandie by Brian:
Brandie will make a great mom because she is loving and compassionate. One of the qualities I love about Brandie is her honesty. Her family often jokes that you always know where you stand with Brandie. She is a very caring and loyal person; her friends know they can count on her when times are tough and when times are good. All of our family and friends can attest to Brandie’s singing happy birthday phone calls. You know you’re someone special when you get that call. She also gives of herself through volunteer work. She’s very involved in a local women’s group that helps with women’s and children’s charities. Brandie carries this same energy for life and enjoyment in everything she does. She takes enjoyment in the little things in life like picking strawberries every May, or taking walks in the evening down by the lake. She enjoys cooking goodies for others and taking homemade soups to those that are sick. Brandie and I share a relationship of love, trust, and honesty. These are key elements to any successful relationship and ones we will gladly share with your child.

About Brian by Brandie:
I love Brian because he is patient and supportive. He is a strong and natural leader who takes control of situations (a rock for my family & his). Brian is also focused and goal oriented. He finished his Master’s degree while still working full-time. He will make a great dad, because all the children in our family love him and fight for his attention. He provides them with his undivided attention and they’ve come to expect it each time we see them. Some people think romance is about poetry and gifts, but I think it’s showing your love for someone on a daily basis. Brian has been by my side through thick and thin and I know that I can rely on him for anything. He does not bring me roses, he plants me rose bushes, so that I am reminded of his dedication and love each time they bloom. Brian is very active, he likes boating, skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, and going to college football games. Other times, Brian is using his talents working on home improvement projects around the house.

About Diamond:
Diamond is our Jack Russell Terrier. She is our daily dose of unconditional love, excitement, and constant reminder that playtime is an essential part of life. She is also looking forward to a new addition to the family. Diamond is our loyal companion and has also logged quite a few miles with us on our trips and vacations.

Home and Family: Home and Community:
We live in a suburban neighborhood in Virginia planned around family and children’s activities. Our neighborhood has several schools within walking distance that are some of the highest rated elementary schools in our county. Activities include 4 swimming pools, playgrounds, a fitness center with children’s classes, a lake to sail or fish, and 11 miles of walking and biking trails. We share our home with Diamond; although sometimes we think Diamond is the one sharing the house with us. Both of our families also live nearby and we see everybody often.

Family:
We both agree on the importance of family and are blessed to have a very close and supportive family. We enjoy gathering together for any occasion, not just for birthdays or holidays. They say you can pick your friends but not your family. We think we are very lucky to have both of our families. Since both of us grew up near by, we have a close group of friends to hang out with. Most of our friends and family have children and can’t wait to share the parenthood experience with us. We are very fortunate to have good friends and family nearby for support.

Our Promise: The most important thing we want you to remember about us is our promise that your child will be cherished and loved unconditionally above all else.

We would be overjoyed to share our life with a precious child. Our home is already filled with love and laughter, and we look forward to a child bringing just that much more love and excitement into our lives. We are easy to talk to, outgoing and down to earth, and would like to get to know you.
