Brian & Lindsay are hopeful adoptive parents from Oregon waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Parent
As we sit to write this we are overwhelmed by so many emotions. We feel sadness for the trial you are currently facing, we feel respect for the choice you are making, we feel humbled that you are considering us to raise your child, and above all we feel love. Love for you, love for the unborn child that will make us a family, love for each other, and love for a Father in Heaven who has given us strength and hope and who will lift you up through this process. We feel so much joy at the prospect of coming together with you to create a new family. We know that you will bless our lives and we hope to be able to bless your life as well.
Before we got married Brian and I were very excited about our future children and discussed the kind of family we wanted. One of the things we talked about was adoption. We felt strongly that it would be a part of our lives even if we were able to become pregnant. We later found out we would not be able to have children. Since then we have been looking forward to adopting. We have known people who have been blessed so much by adoption, both through placing a child and others through receiving a child. We know it can be a very special experience and are excited to finally begin our family.
We were both raised in families who valued education and learning so this has carried over into our career choices and our marriage. We are history teachers who love to travel and experience new places. We have both had the opportunity to live in foreign countries. We look forward to introducing our children to these same experiences as we travel as a family.
When we are not traveling we love just spending time together. In everything that we do we are always finding reasons to laugh. We are completely devoted to one another and strive to ensure that we always have quality time together. Whether it is reading together in the park, going to museums, hiking, running, playing sports, or watching movies we love being together. We are very active and love to be outdoors. We are very positive people and we have a lot of fun together.
We have wonderful extended families that we spend time with as often as we can. Our parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins are all excited about our decision to adopt and are anxiously waiting for a new addition to the family. We have a wonderful marriage and we will always work hard to make sure our home is a warm and loving environment for our children. We want to be good parents and we hope that we will be the family you are looking for. We know that God is watching out for you and your baby and that He is preparing a sweet little spirit to send to our family. May God bless you at this time and we hope to get to know you soon. Thank you so much.
The Story of Us
A boy from Southern California and a girl from Idaho meet while going to school in Utah, get married and move to Texas for a year and then settle in Oregon. Our story in a nutshell, but if you want more details - keep reading.
In an education class is where our story begins:
During a group activity fate had us as partners. I fell for her right away and quickly found her to be as smart, funny, and sweet as she was beautiful. She must have felt the same because she laughed at my jokes and came to sit by me the next day.
She eventually fell victim to my charm as I sought any and every opportunity to be with her. We talked before, during, and after class (I was conveniently headed in whichever direction that she happened to be going). At the chance of seeming like a stalker I persisted, and the rewards turned out to be eternal.
We fell in love, met the parents, and soon enough (or finally – depending on who you ask) we were engaged. We were married on December 27th, 2005. It was dark, it rained, and then came the blizzard, but it was the most beautiful day of my life.
For our honeymoon we traded in the snowy mountains of Idaho for the sunny beaches of the Caribbean. We took a cruise leaving out of Houston that stopped in Mexico, Belize, and Honduras. It was magical to say the least. Room service, warm sunny beaches, and marital bliss – who could ask for more?
After the honeymoon we lived in Provo while I did my student teaching and Lindsay finished her classes. Then came the opportunity we just couldn’t pass up – Texas! Sounds like an adventure. We traveled all over the South, made friends, and had some great experiences.
While we loved our time in Texas we always knew that we wanted to be back in the West, closer to family and friends. We had a special feeling about Oregon and after a crazy summer and a string of miracles we knew that this is where the Lord wanted us. We love Oregon! This past year we have had good jobs, we bought our first house, and now we are looking forward to adopting our first child.
I’m glad that I went to class that fateful day where we were first paired up. Lindsay has continued to be my partner, my best friend and my soul mate.
What We Love to Do
We love doing things together and most of what we love includes being outside. We both grew up camping with our families so that is one of our favorite things to do. While camping we love to hike and fish.
Both of our families are very athletic so we grew up playing sports and we still try to continue to play basketball or volleyball as often as we can. Since being married we have discovered the joy of playing tennis since it is something we can do together.
The quieter side of us loves to read a good book or cuddle up on the couch together and watch a movie. We also enjoy going to museums, concerts and the theater.
Probably our favorite thing to do is travel. We have taken several big road trips since being married and are awlays planning the next one. We love to spend time together in new places.
We Have a Blog!
We have created a blog so that you can get to know us even better. We would love for you to visit and lean more about our wonderful life together. Contact us and we'd be happy to share the address with you!
Love,
Brian & Lindsay
