Bart & Kimberly are hopeful adoptive parents from Utah waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Friend(s),
Our hearts go out to you. We know that this must be a difficult time for you. We can't even imagine what you are going through. However, we respect you so much for considering adoption and know the great love and courage that you possess. You are truly amazing! You have the ability to make other’s dreams come true, and for that you should be commended.
Even though life has its ups and downs, we can always count the blessings in our lives. In our 8 years of marriage, we have really enjoyed getting to know each other, spending time with each other, and finding ways to make each other happy. We have learned to make the best of each situation and know that things happen for a reason.
With several visits to an infertility doctor over the past 6 years and really no solid answers, we truly feel it is because adoption is in our future. We are so excited to experience the joys of the adoption process and welcome others into our lives. We are eager and excited for a child. We have longed to have children and are anxious to be able to share the great love that we have with them. We feel we have much to offer.
About Us
It was in a small country town of Ohio where we first met each other. We were both doing service work (called missions) for our church. We became friends and when Bart completed his mission, he returned home to Idaho. Kim at this point still had 8 months to go. We corresponded through letters a little here and there while Kim finished her mission. When Kim returned home to Utah, we started hanging out and driving 3 hours to see each other on the weekends. We dated for a short 3 months and then Bart proposed and the rest is history. We were married in June of the year 2000.
About Bart
I am the youngest of six boys. I grew up on a farm in a small town in Idaho and from early on was taught the importance of hard work. My Dad is a farmer and my Mom helps him on the farm. I am a fun-loving, compassionate, & an highly motivated person. I also am an Eagle Scout. I received 2 Associate Degrees (Diesel Electric and Diesel Technology) from Idaho State University and am currently employed as a service foreman - overseeing a few departments. I like the challenge of new things and working with my hands. I am very handy and my wife likes to tell people that I can fix just about anything. I enjoy meeting new people and am very active in my church and community. I am looking forward to becoming a father and teaching our children all that was taught to me.
Hi..this is Kim...Bart is awesome. I love him tons. He will make such a great dad. Children just love him and literally flock to him. He is such a well rounded person who can do just about anything. He is the type of person that won't stop until a job is done. He is so caring and always concerned with other people's well being. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to be married to such a terrific guy!!
About Kim
I am the second youngest of 5 siblings: 2 older brothers (one is adopted), 1 older sister, and 1 younger brother. I was raised in Utah and had a very good life. My Dad is an attorney and my Mom is an homemaker. I always loved my Mom being home and have decided that I want the same thing for my family. I am looking forward to staying home full-time when children come. If one word could sum me up it would have to be cheerful. I love to smile and laugh a lot. I am kind, thoughtful, optimistic, and hardworking. Education is very important to me. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from BYU. Because I am an avid sports fan, I wanted to be a sportscaster, but decided to pursue a different path. I currently work for a financial adviser and have my insurance and securities licenses. I also am very active in my church and community and enjoy working with the youth. I learn so much from them. My greatest desire is to become a mother and teach our children the joys of life.
This is Bart speaking...Kim is an amazing person. She takes great care of the things she has. We always have the cleanest cars and best looking yard. She is happy and never gets moody. She looks for the positive in everything. She is a great example to the youth in our church. They often come to her asking for advice. She will be a wonderful mother someday. I am so blessed to have her in my life. I love her very much.
Our Families
We have a great relationship with our extended family. Our parents and siblings are very important to us. We both have grandparents, parents, and siblings not too far away. We get together with our families as often as we can and enjoy the fun, laughter, love, and support that our extended family provides. They too are excited for the adoption process and can see the blessing it will be in their lives.
Our Hobbies
As we have been married for 8 years, we have been able to experience many fun things together. We love to travel. We have been able to visit several places around the world: Austria, Germany, Mexico, Belize, & California to name a few. In the winter, we love to go up to the mountains and ride snowmobiles. Bart climbs the mountains and Kim videos him. She even made a DVD out of he and his friends' snowmobiling adventures.
We also like to stay close to home. We like to cuddle up on the couch and watch movies, go out to eat, go to car shows, do the dishes, clean the house, do yard work and other home improvement projects, and just relax.
Bart's Hobbies:
I enjoy: riding and fixing snowmobiles (including finding ways to turbo them), looking at and building hot rods (I'm restoring a '78 Trans Am), watching drag races, playing football, learning from the Discovery Channel, welding and fabrication, reading hot rod and diesel performance magazines & working on projects.
Kim's Hobbies:
I like making desserts (okay I like eating them too), cooking, playing the piano, sewing, dancing (clogging), detailing cars, editing video and creating DVDs, water skiing (slaloming), gardening, exercising (I love Turbo Jam), watching and playing basketball, football, and volleyball, helping others, and playing with and spoiling nieces and nephews.
We are looking forward to building new hobbies and traditions with our children and sharing our hobbies with them. We will be forever grateful for those who have influenced us and helped us develop the skills and hobbies that we have. It's made us into the people we are today.
Conclusion
So that is us in a nutshell. We are so excited for adoption and know we can offer a lot of love and more.
We look forward to meeting you and hope to hear from you soon. As you make this important decision, please know that our prayers are with you. No matter what you do, we wish you the best and are grateful for people like you.
Your friends,
Bart & Kim
