Our Love Story Hello, we would like to thank you for taking the time to read about our family. We don't know what you are going through, but our hearys are with you in the decisions that you will make. We love adoption! It is through adoption that our lives, our birth mom, and her family have been blessed. In this letter, we would lie you to get to know us better as we share parts of our lives with you.

Our once upon a time love story started in high school. We met on the steps at lunch time. It wasn't a real romantic spot at all. Shawn was a cool, confident freshman, Mindy was a pretty, older sophomore. We would like to say it was love at first sight but it wasn't. Shawn couldn't even remember Mindy's name half the time. We always say our love was based on talking, laughing, and having fun. In high school, you would find us playing tag in the park, in which we have never sopped playing. We often talked about our futures, which included missions.

After high school, Shawn went on a mission to Montana. Mindy went to college and become a teacher. Then a year later went on a mission to Canada. We knew these experiences would help us to grow, strengthen our friendship, and eventually our marriage. After being apart for three years, we were married in the Salt Lake Temple.

After five years of marriage and wanting children, we were blessed with our adopted son, Benjamin. He has been the joy of our lives. We love being his parents. Our desire is to have more children, which has brough us to this point.

Conversations of each other Our love story continues to this day. Our marriage os very precious to both of us, so we try to nurture it. We have dates with each other and Ben. Our dates may inculde going to the movies, theater, temple, walking dinner, amusement parks, zoo, playground, swimming, games, or any other happening in the community.

Shawn is the love of my life. He has always been my best friend ever since I met him. Heavenly Father knew I needed him in my life from the very beginning. Shawn listens to me, cares about me, and is so kind. He is very supportive of anything I decide to pursue. I love his spiritual side, which includes a deep love for the Savior. His desire is to learn and live his religion. He is an ultimate example of the Savior. His desire is to learn and live his religion. He is an ultimate example of charity and love. He is willing to serve anyone, anytime, and anyplace. He always works hard and tries to do his best. Shawn is a great dad. He loves our son. He always wants to play with him. Ben is so excited to have Daddy come home. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband in my life.

Ever since I met Mindy in high school, I have loved her. She is my best friends. Mindy is outgoing, smart, and just plain fun to be around. In every ting that Mindy does, she does her best. I be live that is what I love most about her. I admire her willingness to try new things and expand her horizon's. She has a great love and nurturing ability for kids and the elderly. Mindy is always thinking about my needs. She will go to the store and see something that I really like and will bring it home. She has a desire to do what is right. I am so grateful for her and the support that she gives me in my life. She also encourages me to do my best in anything that I want to do. I can't ask for a better person to be my wife and mother to our son.

Schooling, Hobbies, and Interests We love to learn. We have received our bachelor's degrees. Shawn's degree is in business management from University of Utah. Mindy's is in elementary education from Utah State University. Because of our love for learning, we always want any child to do their best.

Shawn enjoys working with his hands. His projects have been our yard, the basement, and model ship building. During Shawn's quiet time, he is found reading his Wall Street Journal, religious or educational books. He also enjoys learning about space. He likes to play games.

Mindy is definitely a reader. She is always found with a book. She loves mysteries especially. She also likes crafts like crocheting, scrap booking, and sewing. She likes to cook, grow a garden, and bottle her own food. She loves to play games with friends and family

As a family, Shawn, Mindy and Ben loves to take walks, hikes, or swing together. It is time to visit with each other. We like to go to events in our community from the fair to sporting events like baseball. We enjoy going to plays at different theaters. At home our favorite thing to do is to play games. The games range from board games to playing tag or hide and seek outside. We love to go on road trips. It could mean to Disneyland or Lagoon. It also means going camping or on a picnic with friends or family. We like being with each other.

Conclusion We have felt the blessings in our home from a wonderful woman who chose to place her child for adoption. It is our desire to correspond with you through pictures, letters, e-mails, and occasional visit.
