We've Adopted a Son

HELLO Dear Birth Parents,

Thanks for looking over our profile. We can’t even imagine what you are going through and how difficult this time must be for you. We sincerely hope that you find peace and comfort as you make your decision. We wanted to just give you a look into our lives and let you in on who we are and what our hopes and dreams are for the future.
We can’t explain in words how we feel about you. We don’t even know you, yet we can’t even imagine what you are going through but know that you must be brave and that you must love your baby so much. Your child will always know how much they are loved by you. Your child will know that they are loved by more than one set of parents. We will share photos and letters and keep in touch with the birth parent of any child that is placed with us.

ABOUT US We are so grateful for the chance to adopt. We can’t wait to share our love with a child of our own. We have gone through a lot of heartache when it comes to having our own family. We want to move on with the next chapter in our lives which is to raise a child in our home and build a family. We are excited about our process of adoption. Our families on both sides are so excited for us as well as our friends. All are very supportive of our adoption. We have two adopted nephews which we are so excited to have in our family! One of our best friends adopted their first child and is now waiting for their second. It was neat to watch them go through the process of their first adoption and see what a great relationship they have with their birth mother. We want our children to know that there are so many people who love them, not only the family they see on a daily basis.
HOW WE MET We have known each other now for over 12 years now. We met at college. I watched Mike date lots of other girls and I would give him advice on dating. We had a great time and became really good friends. We were best friends and then we realized that we were "more than friends". Mike took his sweet time asking me to marry him. We dated for about two years. Looking back now, I wouldn't have had it any other way. It has been great and we have been able to do a lot of fun things together. We cannot imagine life without each other. It is wonderful being married to your best friend. Send us a message

FROM CHEREE & MIKE From Cheree...
I was born into a great family with loving parents who were always interested in what I was doing. I have four brothers, two older and two younger. I got teased quite a bit and secretly enjoyed every minute of it. We do lots of family things together.
In my spare time I enjoy: making cards, scrap booking, stamping, making jewelry and baking. I love to travel. Road trips are my favorite. I am always the designated map-reader for my Mike which is a skill I learned from my dad. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my best friend and companion. He is the love of my life. I am so glad that we found each other. He is so smart and so good with people. He is brave and confident and so sweet and tenderhearted. He is big and tough on the outside but gentle and kind on the inside. He would do anything for anyone. He makes me feel so safe.
When I think of Mike as a daddy it brings tears to my eyes. I see him holding babies at family gatherings and my heart just hurts. I want him to be a father so badly. He looks so happy and content. He will be such a great Daddy. He is so good with kids. He has a great sense of humor so we are always giggling at our house. I can’t wait to hear the little giggles in our house.

From Mike...
My twin sister and I are the youngest of five. I grew up in a house full of girls, being the only boy. Needless to say, I have come to know women quite well! The oldest is only six years older than me, so we grew up very close. We were blessed in growing up learning the importance of families. We look forward to every chance we have at getting together and will always make sacrifices if it means we can all see each other. I am a very active person and am happiest when I’m keeping busy. My biggest passion is of course is my wife! My second is lifting weights at the gym. I love the challenge that comes with becoming stronger and improving my health. I grew up as such a scrawny kid and have really enjoyed pushing myself past that. I was even a personal trainer for some time because I love helping others achieve their fitness goals as well. Nothing, however, beats the quality time my wife and I set aside for each other. She is the biggest blessing in my life. She is the most selfless person I have ever met. She has made me into the man I am today. Her support in everything, most importantly my career, has been above and beyond anything I could have ever hoped for. To see her give so much of herself to everyone in her life has been truly inspiring to me. She will make such a wonderful mother. I wish you could see how children actually flock to her. She has such a way with them. They connect with her instantly. Even the little babies make eye contact with her and there is an instant connection. My greatest desire is for her to be a mother. She is so gentle and loving in every way and has prepared herself for many years to become what she’s always wanted to be, a mother.

In closing...
We can never know how hard it is for you to make such an important decision. We are grateful to you for your consideration at giving a couple a chance at parenthood that otherwise would not have the opportunity.
May you be blessed in this important decision and throughout the rest of your life.
