Joshua & Bonnie are hopeful adoptive parents from Colorado waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother/Birthparents, You have no idea how delighted and honored we are that you are considering us to be the adoptive parents of your baby! We have been wanting children for so long—you would be giving us an amazing, and much wished for, gift.

We understand that sometimes life leads you down paths that you did not expect, and that the decision you are making is a hard one. We admire your strength and sacrifice. We know that you are acting out of love and concern for your child. You will always have an honored place in our hearts and in the heart of your child.

We met in college and always talked about adopting—so it is interesting that we are actually here now writing this letter! We have always loved kids and have always wanted a family. Of course, we played it safe, and waited until after graduate school to start a family. We were so excited when we got pregnant five years ago, but because it was an ectopic one, the pregnancy was lost—leaving much scarring, and almost no chance of getting pregnant again.
We were devastated.

So! Here we are! After many, many hours of reflection, we have realized that adoption is the way for us to have the family we dream of. Here is a bit about us:
Bonnie’s blurb about Josh : Joshua will be an amazing dad. He is a college art professor (his students are crazy about him—they go out of their way to choose his classes, ask for his advice about life, and even love to draw cartoons about him). He has also taught high school art—and has touched many lives that way. He has a very open and kind heart. Josh is everyone’s favorite uncle. His nieces, nephews, and godchildren both love and respect him. He is the one the kids ask for—he likes to hear about their lives, wrestle on the ground with them, and truly loves each one unconditionally. He is creative, intelligent, passionate, and fun.

Josh’s blurb about Bonnie : Bonnie comes from a long line of incredibly caring and nurturing mothers. She is deeply compassionate, intelligent, loving, loyal, and is going to be a stellar mom. Whenever our nieces, nephews, or godchildren come to visit, she loves to prepare fun games and hand out with them. Bonnie has enjoyed teaching little kids, special ed. junior high kids, high school students, and is currently teaching English part-time at the college level. The students at the college love her, write her fabulous reviews, and have even requested that she teach more sections of Composition. She is very interested in connecting with people of all ages and helping them develop their skills and foster a life-long love of learning. She is the central creative force in making a very comfortable and healthy home where our pets thrive, and our friends and family always feel welcome to visit. Now, she is looking forward to becoming a stay-at-home mom!
In Conclusion: We both long for the laughter of children and the pitter-patter of little feet to enrich our lives. We feel that we have a lot to offer to a child, and we believe that we have a clear sense of the values, love, creativity, and hard work it takes to raise children to their full potential. As you will see in the photos that follow, we love to spend time in nature, travel, and to enrich our world with art and books. We cherish the relationships that we have with our family and friends and would love to share our lives with a special child.

Sincerely,
Bonnie and Joshua
