Mark & Linda are hopeful adoptive parents from South Carolina waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthparent: We are Mark and Linda, and we are hoping to adopt a baby into our home. We live in sunny South Carolina and we'd like to thank you for visiting our profile here on ParentProfiles.com.

For the past seven years we have had fertility challenges which has resulted in two miscarriages and a stillborn baby. Our desire is to have two or more babies close in age, whether it be naturally or through the gift of adoption, so that they will be able to grow up together and be best friends like our older children are.

We know that this must be a very difficult decision for you and commend you for your courage and strength. We know that you want what's best for your baby and if you choose us, we promise to love and nurture her.

We know you love your baby and want what's best for him, so much that you have chosen to give someone else the privilege and opportunity to parent him. This is a true and unconditional love, one to be admired.

We want you to feel the peace of knowing that your child will have the best possible life she can have.

We hope you take the time to learn a bit more about us by looking around on our profile that we have prepared for you. And if you feel comfortable enough to contact us, we hope that you would. You can email us: Send us a message.

Whatever you decide, we know you'll make the right decision for your baby.
About Us About Linda - Linda grew up in a large Italian family on Long Island, New York. She is the youngest of four children. She has two brothers and one sister. She has 6 nieces and nephews and two great nieces. She is a published author and is an avid reader. She loves all kinds of music and grew up listening to the Beatles. She loves animals, especially frogs. She even has a rather large collection of 'frogs' (stuffed animals, figurines, etc.) Linda loves the water, loves boating and fishing. She also enjoys traveling and looks forward to many more trips with our family.

About Mark - Mark also grew up on Long Island, and has one sister. He found an interest in radio broadcasting at an early age and pursued it in college, majoring in Communications with a concentrate in Broadcasting. Mark worked in his chosen profession, on-air at several stations around the country before switching to computer programming in the early 1990s because of radio's lack of stability. Mark soon found success in his programming career and now works from home as well as from his client's locations. He enjoys spending time with his family (boating, swimming and traveling), working out, and fiddling with electonics.

How We Met - Mark sent a resume to the advertising agency that Linda worked for as a copywriter. Linda was so impressed by his resume that she called him up and asked him to meet her at a diner, where we spent 5 hours talking. We saw each other again the next day, and a week later, Linda told Mark that she was going to marry him. A year and a half later, we were married on a beautiful steamship paddleboat on the Long Island Sound.

Faith - Jesus Christ is the head of our home and we are raising our children to obey God's Word in every aspect of their lives and share in the joy, freedom and everlasting life God has given to us through His gift of Jesus.

Extended Family - Our children have two full sets of loving grandparents who are eagerly waiting to spoil a new grandchild. Recently, Grandma Rose and Grandpa Pete spoiled David and Victoria for a week while visiting, and took them to the Naples Zoo in Florida and took them shopping for "souvenirs" for the whole family. And according to David and Victoria, Grandma Sylvia is the best cook in the world! When she bakes cookies, she doesn't make just one batch - she makes several with and without ingredients to your liking! She and Papa Vince missed the kids so much that they recently moved back to the East coast from Arizona to spend time with their grandchildren. Your baby would have so much love and attention, she'll always be held, played with and most of all LOVED!

Education - We not only love our children, but we LIKE them too! So much, that we have homeschooled them for many years. In fact, David and Victoria, who are currently in 7th grade, have been homeschooled their whole lives and absolutely love it. We have already graduated our two older children, Cassie and Eddie. Cassie is married and Eddie is in college for law enforcement. We feel that education should be fun and meaningful, not stressful for children. We do not believe in giving them a lot of homework and "busy" work as public schools do. We also teach our children the truth in God's Word and teach them all about God's wonderful Creation. We do a lot of hands-on learning and take them on many fun field trips to places such as the local zoo, aquarium, museum, historic homes and gardens, farms, and much more.

Travel - Our schedule offers great flexibility in travel and we take an annual trip to Orlando each May when other children are still in school and visit the theme parks there. We've been able to take them to fun, educational places such as Washington, DC, The Grand Canyon, Sea World, Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins, Maple sugar festivals in the snowy mountains and white sugar beaches on Marco Island, Florida. We have a large SUV with TV and game system, which keeps the children happy when we're not playing travel games or reading fun stories aloud. Our children are well-traveled and have been to almost every state from Maine to Florida and all the way to Arizona. Your baby will have the opportunity to learn about places by actually being there - from swimming with Diego, the dolphin, to gazing at the awesome Grand Canyon and many other places we plan to visit such as Egypt, Italy, Israel and Japan.

Finances - Mark has had his own home-based business for many years. Some advantages of this is that Mark can be home much more than if he had a regular job, and we are comfortable financially. He is a computer programmer and builds websites for clients. We also run a family-run health and homeschool supply company which takes us on the road to many beautiful cities throughout the country. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, we have always encouraged our children to have their own business. In fact, David sells toy guns and does extremely well, especially selling marshmallow guns at homeschool conferences and Victoria sells beautiful beaded jewelry and does face painting.
About Each Other About Linda
by Mark

Linda is truly my best friend. She 'completes' me. I surely do not know where I or our children would be without her. She is the most passionate person I know, and when she sets her mind on something, you know it'll get done.

Her greatest passion after God is her family, and it shows in her everyday walk. She truly lives for us, and is very excited about having another child to dote on. Linda takes mothering very seriously, and her life revolves around her sense of responsibility to her children.

Linda has a great sense of humor - her favorite movies are comedies. She loves to laugh and spend time with us at home and when we travel. She loves nature and has passed that trait onto our children.

One of the most remarkable things I noticed soon after we met, was how much she cared. Linda just has an incredible capacity to care for people for their struggles and hardships, to care for me for all my needs, to care for our children, even to care deeply for animals and insects!

Linda is a gifted writer and has been published several times in the national press. She has a great knack for explaining and teaching which comes out wonderfully in our everyday lives as Linda teaches the kids. I find I even learn a lot, too!

Linda is a very special mother, one who takes special care and pride in all her children. It is her gift, her love, and would be her very special privilege to be mommy to your sweet precious baby.

About Mark
by Linda

Mark is the best husband and father I could ever hope for. He is gentle, sweet and affectionate. He works very hard at what he does and believes in giving his best in everything he does. His family is the most important thing to him and loves us very much.

He is also very generous and sympathetic. He is always available to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it, and helps those less fortunate than us. He cares deeply about people and is a sensitive person. He is excellent at what he does (computer programming) and strives to know more and do better all the time.

He takes care of himself, eats well and works out. Mark loves me more than anything else in the world, and we are soul mates, which is why, after a week of knowing him I told him I was going to marry him! We have now been happily married for almost 14 years and it gets better every day!

Mark is an excellent father and takes his responsibility very seriously. He loves our children tremendously and is very active in their daily lives. Your baby will have the greatest attention from a daddy that feeds, rocks and even changes diapers! What a husband! But most of all your baby will be loved, cared for and nourished by a loving forever daddy.

About Mom
by Victoria

My mom is very nice. She is a good cook. She always makes me and my oldest brother, Eddie salmon for me if I have a spelling bee or if my brother has a test for college. She takes me shopping a lot and she takes me and my brother David to eat out at restaurants. She takes me out to the spa too! She is also a "health freak", so I can only eat certain things. For instance, I can't eat Twinkies or things like that. But that's only because she cares about us!

About Mom
by David

My mom is great because she is always giving us good advice and confidence. We eat salad every night and she makes sure we don't watch too much TV and that we clean up after ourselves. We're homeschooled and she teaches us very well. My mom's the best!

About Dad
by Victoria

My dad is really goofy, but in a good way. He takes us out to places all the time like camping, Florida, New York and other places and also to see relatives. He and my mom got me a cat for Christmas. It was the best Christmas ever. I named the cat Mittens. He loves to sleep in my dad's chair in his office and always great my dad when he comes home. My dad gets me the best things and spends a lot of time with us!

About Dad
by David

My dad is great because he buys us cool things, takes us on nice trips and best of all he doesn't work every day of the week! He gives us allowance and takes us to fun stores like EB Games, Wal Mart and Dick's Sporting Goods. He buys us great gifts for our birthdays and Christmas and loves us all! And we love him!
