Our Message
Dear Birth Parents,
Thank you so much for taking a look at our family. Although we don’t know you personally, we feel a sincere gratitude for you. We admire your selflessness and feel a love and appreciation for you. We are impressed with your great courage and strength. We hope you will feel the great love God has for you and feel His personal interest in your happiness and success.
So, what do we have in common? Although our circumstances may be very different, we both probably find ourselves in a situation that we did not anticipate or expect in life. It’s not an easy thing when this happens; we may wonder, “where do we go from here?”
What else do we have in common? We have the same God guiding and directing our lives. Through our experiences we have learned that His greatest desire is for our happiness and He will help us through difficult times.
When it became clear that we could not bear any more children our daughter Britain said, “it’s okay Mom, another mom will grow a baby and give it to you.” (age 3). That among other experiences helped us have hope and encouraged us to pursue this step—seeking a child through adoption. We feel very excited when we think about inviting another child or children (twins welcome) into our home and family. We look forward to the day this will happen with great anticipation, imagining the joy that having another child will bring to our home. We feel that there is a child that is meant to join our family, from a mother we feel a special affinity for and connection with. We look forward to the peaceful feeling that things are right—for us, the birth parents and the baby.
Our top priority is providing a happy, loving, nurturing home where children can thrive. We are committed to teaching them Christian values and all the life-skills that they will need to reach their highest potential.
Please let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.
Who We Are
We met as college freshman and were friends for a long time before we started dating. After not seeing each other for a period of years, we ran into each other and something just clicked. We quickly went from friends to dating to marriage. We have a very solid and close relationship and have been married for twelve years. We had a daughter six years ago and feel very happy and blessed with our little family.
We are comfortable financially and have all of the pieces in place to a solid financial portfolio. We live within our means and are able to add to our savings every month. We can provide many fun and educational opportunities and look forward to cultivating the talents and interests of our children.
Education is a high priority to us. We were fortunate to have parents who made it possible for us to go to college. We love school and learning and want to create positive learning experiences and opportunities for our children. We live in an area with excellent schools and our daughter attends a phenomenal charter school. We are very involved in nurturing her education. We have a college fund in place for our daughter and look forward to funding another one (or two)!
We live in a great family-centered community with many children and supportive friends and family. We wake up every day to a view of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.
We do our best to have a Christ-centered home and feel strongly about the importance of consistent family prayer, church attendance and scripture study.
What Jeremy says about Camille: Camille is an amazing and dedicated mom and wife. The majority of her time and attention is focused on the development and needs of our daughter. She is very connected emotionally with our daughter and provides a great deal of love and nurture to her. She has a funny, silly sense of humor that encourages creativity and expression. People feel accepted and emotionally safe when they are with Camille. She is also very creative—whether it’s whipping up a “Swiper the Fox” costume or teaching manners by using an English accent and pretending to dine with the Queen of England. She has created a nurturing, loving feeling in our home where children can thrive. Through Camille’s education and work as a counselor, she gained valuable parenting skills that are apparent as I watch how she is able to handle the various situations that parenting presents. Camille has great intuition and judgment that I have learned to trust. I also admire Camille's faith and her desire to live like Christ, with kindness toward others.
What Camille says about Jeremy: Jeremy is a very attentive, hands-on father. He has been very involved in all aspects of parenting from the beginning—he knows how to use a curling iron and is very impressive with his cake decorating skills. He loves playing with kids, whether it’s soccer outside or sitting down on the floor doing a puzzle. He is a very committed husband and father and has exceeded my expectations in both areas. He is very likeable, friendly and happy. He puts people at ease and is very comfortable to be around. He’s also very humble and kindhearted. He has a genuine love for people as God's children and lives true to his Christian values. Jeremy is very talented when it comes to music. He plays the piano very beautifully and can compose beautiful songs that he “just hears in his head”.
Jeremy's Background: I come from a big family. My father was a surgeon and my mom was at home with us full-time. I grew up riding motorcycles, water skiing, snow skiing, cycling, swimming in the family pool, going to Lake Powell on our houseboat, playing the piano and other instruments and working hard in the yard with my family. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Management. I also served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Japan and developed a deeper faith in God and very valuable life skills. I currently work for a New York based firm as the Director of Investments in Utah. I love being a dad--especially getting home from work and being treated like royalty with cheers and hugs!
Camille's Background: I come from a family of all girls. I grew up in a rural area of Utah, where we had horses and plenty of room to run and explore. My father is a lawyer and my mother is an elementary school teacher. I grew up in a very nurturing, loving and supportive home and we are still very close. In school I was very involved with dance and student council. I started modeling when I was sixteen and still continue to enjoy this hobby. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. I also studied abroad in Jerusalem, which was a life changing, positive experience. I also lived in England for a year and a half during a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which gave me a greater understanding of people, myself, and really anchored my faith in God. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work (emphasis in families and children) and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I worked as a therapist/counselor for six years until I had my daughter. My favorite work has been with children and teenage girls, helping them gain a love for themselves and understand their full potential. Before I had a child I had a chance to get my education, travel, and work in a profession that I love. I cherish all of these experiences, but my favorite role is as a mother. I love being able to focus my full attention on being a mom, it is by far the most fulfilling and important thing I have ever done or will ever do. There is nothing better than getting a hug from a child or receiving a homemade card.
What We Like
We love family time! We love planning and going on family vacations. We have a goal to go to a new place every year because there are so many amazing places out there to see and experience. We also have places that we love to return to regularly. Some of our favorite places are: Sun Valley Idaho, Southern California, Hawaii, and my sister’s cabin in the mountains close by. We love the beach and try to visit as often as possible. We also love to visit Camille’s parents who live a few hours away. We ride horses, fish, golf and just relax.
Before we had our daughter we had a chance to travel together, which was fun, educational, and bonding. We were able to go to Europe for a month. We were also able to travel to Israel together as well as other great places within the United States. We look forward to taking our children back to the places that hold special meaning for us when they are old enough.
We love doing fun “kid” activities and seeing our daughter’s excitement when she experiences things for the first time. Our typical days together include a lot of laughter, silliness and fun. We enjoy each others company and find happiness in everyday life. We look forward to having dinner each evening together and catching up as a family. We play a lot of board games or just cozy up together on the couch and watch a movie. We like to have family dance contests--not of the serious sort. Lately, we have been exploring Jeremy’s Scottish heritage through Scottish highland dancing, while Jeremy plays the bagpipe. We have a very gentle cat named Foxy that needed a home and found us. Each night we bake a few chocolate chip cookies to have after dinner. On weekends we eat out and love trying all sorts of different restaurants. On Saturdays Jeremy makes pancakes in whatever shape is requested—from Thanksgiving turkeys to rocking chairs! We also love to go to plays, musicals, the ballet, go on walks, or most anything together. We also have great friends whom we see often. Most of our extended family members live close by and we get together for birthdays and other festive occasions with them. We are both fortunate to have wonderful, supportive families. They are amazing grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Every child is greatly cherished in our families.
What Jeremy likes to do: Cycling is something I have enjoyed for many years. Several years ago I rode my bike to Lake Powell—actually twice. Now my rides are much shorter, but I still enjoy challenging myself and being out doors. I love to snow ski in the winter and water ski in the summer. I enjoy doing triathlons, especially with my brothers. I love being in the water, whether for water skiing, snorkeling, or swimming with Britain and Camille. I enjoy playing the piano and writing music--it's a great way to express myself. Golfing with Camille's dad is something I look forward to and enjoy each summer. I also enjoy motorcycling with my brothers in St. George and traveling with family.
What Camille likes to do: I love to spend time with my family and friends, just chatting and being together. I love traveling. I am currently on the community council in my area and enjoy helping find solutions to improve our community. I like doing makeup. I'm on the school dance makeup circuit for my niece and her friends. I love the Arts-- whether it's going to Shakespearean Plays, Broadway Musicals, The Ballet, Art Galleries or Museums. I like costumes—creating them and being in costume. I also like reading, doing Yoga, decorating our house, making jewelry, counseling (not currently doing it, but my friends and family often tell me to send them a bill), helping at my daughters school, eating out, playing the guitar, snorkeling, and desserts. I really love school and learning.
What Britain likes to do: She is a vibrant, happy and fun little girl. She likes art, singing, animals, ballet, soccer, gymnastics, loves school, and mostly loves people. She has many friends of all ages and will be a great big sister.
In Closing
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We hope you will find peace in your heart as you arrive at the decisions which are best for you and your baby. We look forward to getting acquainted. We want to know what is most important to you. Your feelings are of great importance and of great interest to us.
With love and appreciation,
Camille and Jeremy
