Nice to meet you
We are excited that you are taking the time to review our profile, and thank you for getting to know us. We cannot express how grateful we are to you for the sacrifice you are making. You are making a very difficult decision and we pray for the spirit to be with you. We truly admire your strength and compassion and respect the experiences you are going through and the decisions you will make. We have a lot of love for each other and our families and we want to share that love with you and your family through pictures, emails, and letters.
We have been married for ten years and are best friends. Our home is filled with fun, all kinds of games and lots of laughter. We recognize the importance of home and family and strive to make that the center of our life.
History
We met in college where we were part of the same church congregation. Our courtship was quick. We dated for three months before getting engaged, an act that surprised both of us. We had never talked about marriage, but suddenly one night Trebor turned to Sara and asked, "So, do you want to get married?" And she said, “Yes”. It was completely unplanned, and we can only say that the Lord knew what was best and prompted us.
We were both lucky to come from loving families, which were wonderful examples. Trebor ‘s family consists of his father, mother, one sister and two brothers. He is the oldest of the four children and has been a wonderful example to them. He served a 2 year mission in southern Argentina for his church and speaks Spanish. In addition to her mother and father, Sara has seven siblings. She is the fourth of the eight children which consist of one sister and six brothers. Both families have frequent gatherings and family dinners.
With so many siblings, our families know how to work hard together. They love to help each other out, whether it be ranking leaves in the yard or remodeling a house. But they also make sure to have plenty of fun, when the work is done. Our families are so important to us and we are very close with all of them.
Hey it's us!
Sara about Trebor:
Trebor is a very dedicated person. He knows when to be serious and give things his whole attention. Yet he also knows how to have fun. He loves to spend an evening relaxing at home or playing games. He likes all kinds of games: computer games, card games, board games and playing outdoors. He is a huge Star Wars fan and collects Star Wars memorabilia. He has a place for collectibles and a separate place for toys we can play with. He can't wait to share his Star Wars toys with our children. He has an inquiring mind and likes going to museums to learn about new cultures and science. He is very mechanical and fixes things around the house. He has made some of our furniture; including bookcases, an entertainment center and dining room table. He also has plans for many more pieces. I can always count on him to be there when I need him. No sacrifice is too big to make for the family. He is an amazing husband and will make a wonderful father.
Trebor about Sara:
Sara is a very loving and patient person as witnessed by her putting up with an engineer for over ten years. Sara has many interests and hobbies. She likes to spend time working in the yard. She prefers weeding, planting or laying cement to dusting or vacuuming. She loves to read and can always be found with a book, or two or three. She could never choose a single favorite book because doing so would be like choosing a favorite child. Her love of reading has allowed her to experience many different cultures and viewpoints. Sara also has an incredible work ethic, which I find hard to keep up with sometimes. She keeps a beautiful home, inside and out, and is always trying some new yard or garden project. Sara’s motherly instinct has always been very strong and she seems to gravitate towards babies. She has shown many times her ability to love and care for children.
Thank You
We love doing anything as long as we are together, even working in the yard, or taking a long car ride. We love having friends over, and joining our family with theirs even if just for a little while. We love to learn and experience cultural events, such as the local cherry blossom festival, Scottish games or Japanese Obon festival. We celebrate any holiday we can like Groundhog Day, National Pi Approximation Day and John Adams' birthday. Being a part of our church and community is also very important to us. We want to provide an environment where children are introduced to a large variety of experiences, foods and cultures. We believe in being open minded and willing to try almost anything at least once. For ten months we had our two year-old niece living with us. This was a wonderful experience, as we were able to share many things with her.
We appreciate your time in checking us out and hope that you have been able to get to know us. We will be praying for you and your family as you are taking this journey. We love each other and the Lord and want to share that love with you.
