Jared & Marla are hopeful adoptive parents from Utah waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Welcome to Our Family
Thank you for considering us as a prospective adoptive family! We are grateful that you have chosen life for your baby. You are making an incredibly loving and unselfish choice; and regardless of who you choose to raise your child we respect and love you. As you contemplate your decision, we’d like you to get to know us a little bit.
Our family consists of Jared, Marla, Kaila and Nicole. Jared and Marla have been married over 15 years and are more in love than ever! As a couple, we enjoy ballroom dancing together, participating in sports, and just being together to talk. As a family, we value each other above everything else; and our happiest times are when we are all together.
Jared
Jared is a determined and driven individual who believes in working as hard as he plays. He recently accepted a promotion to Vice President of a device company and is doing very well. He teaches the 16 year old Sunday School class at church and volunteers as a softball and basketball referee. He likes to play basketball, golf and spend as much time as possible on our boat. But his favorite is the time he spends with “his girls”: Marla, Kaila and Nicole. Jared makes sure to take time with each girl every day, whether it be jumping out on the trampoline, riding bikes, playing at the park, or wrestling in the family room. He looks forward to spending time with the girls before they go to bed. If for some reason he gets home late after bedtime, he is very disappointed; but he still goes in their room and watches them as they sleep. He is fortunate that his job schedule is flexible and allows him to attend any activity his girls may have.
Marla
Marla loves caring for her family, and her perceptiveness of others’ needs is truly amazing. Being a mom is what she has always wanted to be! As a stay-at-home mom, she is able to always be there when the family needs her. Each day while Dad is working and Kaila is at school, she and Nicole spend one-on-one time together. She helps Nicole ride her bike and scooter outside, or play at the park, play in the backyard or games in the house. She and Nicole attend a Mom-and-Tot gymnastics class too. Marla also volunteers with the PTA and in Kaila's classroom. She is there when Kaila comes home from school to hear about Kaila's day, help with homework and take Kaila to her after-school activities. When she is able to find time for herself, Marla loves scrapbooking, ballroom dance and water aerobics. Marla is a planner, and requires that there be organization in her life, but she is also fun; she has a good sense of humor, she likes to play games and be involved with whatever her kids are doing.
Kaila
Kaila is our diligent one. She always prays for a new little brother or sister, and we believe her faith was a huge part in helping us adopt Nicole. Kaila is a wonderful girl who is very mature for her age, and takes her role as big sister very seriously. Kaila helps mom with Nicole at every opportunity. She plays with Nicole, pulls her behind her bike in a caboose, jumps on the trampoline and anything else that Nicole likes to do. Kaila is always happy and laughing, especially when she has lots of friends over to play. She is also very athletic, and pursues, with enthusiasm, gymnastics, jumping rope, ballroom dance, and everything in between. She has become quite accomplished in Ballroom Dancesport.
Nicole
Nicole is an amazing little girl and a wonderful addition to our family. We weren’t able to conceive again after Kaila was born despite years of testing and trying. So, we decided to pursue adoption. It was a long wait for Nicole to come, but it was worth every second and amount of effort. She is an incredible blessing to all of us. From birth, Nicole has been a very happy baby. She is constantly laughing and playing with anyone that is around, especially Kaila. Like most little girls, she loves to get hugs and kisses, play with dolls and her miniature kitchen and chase her big sister or daddy. She also loves balls, trains, and dump trucks. She loves her gymnastics class and is looking forward to starting preschool this fall.
Traditions, Travel, Home and Education
Now that you know a little about each of us. We'd like to tell you what we like to do as a family.
Traditions
As a family we have at least one activity night every week. We love to play board and card games together, go for family walks and bike rides. We also like to miniature golf, or going to a play, a children’s museum or the circus. As a family we also enjoy ballroom dancing, and we like to do that together.
In the summer, we love to be out on the lake in our boat. Both Kaila and Nicole love to help daddy drive, and they both love riding on the tube! We like to hike, camp and ride 4-wheelers too. In the winter, we like to sled, tube, ski and snowmobile.
We also love to spend time with extended family. We live close enough to both sets of grandparents to see them often. We have a tradition of taking a trip with our cousins to Marla's grandfather's farm. Kaila said it is the best place to use your imagination. The kids love gathering chicken eggs and riding horses. Another family tradition is to meet at grandma and grandpa's home to sing Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve. We also meet together about once a month to celebrate all the birthdays for the month. We are blessed with wonderful extended family and we look forward to visits with the Aunts, Uncles and cousins because it is nonstop fun.
Travel
We love to travel too. We have lived all over the country and had the opportunity to visit many places. We are planning a family trip to Hawaii, and a family trip to Japan when all our children are old enough. (Jared lived there for a while and speaks Japanese).
Home
We chose our neighborhood because we when we drove through there were so many families outside together and children playing with each other. We have great neighbors. There is a park at the end of street with a beautiful walking trail with a stream along side. We take this trail for family walks and bike rides. We live by good schools too. We have a trampoline and playhouse in the backyard for the kids. Our home is spacious, yet warm and inviting. It's the place we all love to hang out.
Education
We value education and try to provide as many learning experiences for our children as possible. Marla's parents are both educators and they love to take the grandchildren on learning excursions. We are planning for college for all of our children.
Our Promise to You
As parents, we can promise we will provide for the health, safety and security of you baby as well as the nurturing and love he or she will need for his or her entire life. Our extended families are supportive of adoption and will love your baby as their own. Your child will be loved beyond what words can express. If you should choose to entrust us with your baby, your child will know that you loved him or her and that because of you we received our most precious gift.
We welcome the chance to talk with you and answer any questions, even meet in person if you wish. Please
Send us a message any time. We pray for peace and strength in your decisions.
With Love,
Jared, Marla, Kaila and Nicole
