Durrell & Synthia are hopeful adoptive parents from Michigan waiting to adopt a baby.

Dear Expectant Mom,

Hello from Durrell and Syndy! Thank you so much for considering us. We have been married for 14 years and have a stable, loving marriage. We've known each other for over 20 years and are looking forward to building our family together through adoption.

Although we don't have any children at home, our cat ‘Chevy’ is a friendly companion who loves everyone that comes to visit. Our neighborhood has numerous parks for children to play and our cul-de-sac is bustling with young children longing for playmates.

Durrell is a local business owner and works just minutes from our home. His flexible schedule allows plenty of options for family time and travel. Syndy is a photographer and volunteer with children's charities and mission organizations. She plans to take an extended leave from her professional and volunteer work to dedicate all her time to being a 'mommy'.

The word ‘firsts’ best describes our passion for life, adventure and exploring new opportunities together. Whether we are building a Jeep, kayaking in the ocean, or riding our Harleys, we’re always looking for opportunities to share an experience together for the first time.

Syndy is nurturing and compassionate with lots of energy for creative expression. She enjoys painting, crafting and photographing children. Durrell is dedicated and hard working at whatever he undertakes. His patience is amazing and it shows when he is mastering one of his restoration projects.

When we aren't at our home in the suburbs, we enjoy retreating to our 280-acre farm in the country. Here is where our child will really have an opportunity to discover the beauty of the outdoors with miles of hiking trails, waterways, wooded hills and lush grassy knolls to play in. Our nearest neighbors are all Amish and with over 40 young children in the area, there is always someone to play and explore with. Grandma and Grandpa live just 4 miles "over the river and through the woods" and are eager to welcome a new baby into their loving arms.

We will provide a loving home with Christian values and work hard to take advantage of every available opportunity for a positive, encouraging and limitless future. The baby will grow up in an environment that loves life and all the amazing adventures that it provides. With family as an integral part of our lives, the baby will constantly be surrounded by love.
