Alex & Catherine are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

Dear Friend, Thank you for taking the time to learn about us! We admire your courage and your desire to find the right family for your baby, and we pray that you will be guided in your search. We love being parents and are so excited to adopt another child.

Why We Are Adopting

We always wanted to be parents, but we knew even before we were married that we might not be able to have biological children. About two years into our marriage, we found out for sure. But we believed that our Heavenly Father would still prepare a way for us to have the family we dreamed of, so we began searching for a baby to adopt. Soon after we began our search, a wonderful young woman asked us to be the parents of her soon-to-be-born baby girl. Madeleine was born and became part of our family in January 2006. Nothing has brought us greater happiness than being her parents.

Although we are happy, we know our small family is not yet complete! We pray every day to find another son or daughter, and Madeleine often asks when she will have a baby brother or baby sister. We believe that adoption will someday miraculously bless our lives again by bringing another amazing child of God into our family.

Our Family
Alex--as told by Catherine

My first impression of Alex was that he was very dedicated and hard-working. When I got to know him better I found out that he is also very fun-loving and personable. Alex keeps me laughing all the time. He is very intelligent and in particular is an excellent writer. He especially loves being a daddy. He and Madeleine have invented dozens of fun, silly games together, which they play every chance they get. He is Madeleine’s favorite playmate. My favorite thing about Alex is how dedicated he is to our family. He has always made spending time with Madeleine and me his top priority. He is an enthusiastic, thoughtful and loving husband and father.

Catherine--as told by Alex

Catherine is a sweetheart. More than anyone I know, she is genuinely compassionate—-she is always looking for ways to serve others. Her natural kindness is one of the first qualities that attracted me to her. Another is her love of learning, especially through books. Catherine is a great reader, and can always be found reading an exciting new story or a favorite old one. Catherine spends each day doing what she loves most—-being a mommy! She is so good at teaching Madeleine about the world and helping her discover new things. She is my perfect companion—-I fall in love with her over and over again!

Madeleine

Madeleine is a cheerful, fun-loving, active five-year-old girl. She loves running, jumping, climbing, dancing, and riding her bike. She also loves to learn by going to museums, doing puzzles, singing new songs, and reading new books. She is a little chatterbox, with questions about nearly everything she sees. We absolutely adore her. She is so excited to be a big sister!

As a family, we love to spend time with each other. We enjoy having adventures together—playing in the park, walking in the city, or taking a long drive to visit grandparents. We also love quiet times—sitting at home together and just enjoying each other’s company.

One of the most rewarding aspects of adopting Madeleine has been our relationship with her birth mother. We visit with her a few times each year and frequently exchange pictures and emails. She is very special to us. Although Madeleine is not quite old enough to understand her adoption, she does know that she came from her birth mother’s tummy and that her birth mother loves her. We are so grateful for this sweet young woman’s sacrifice and love.

Our Promise We promise to love your baby always and unconditionally. We will strive in every way to make our home a happy, loving, educational, and spiritual place for our children. We will teach your baby that he or she is a child of God, and that you chose us to be his or her parents because you love him or her. We enjoy having an open relationship with Madeleine’s birth mother, and would be thrilled to do the same with you, if that is what you want. We are completely committed to each other and to being a family forever.
