Paul & Jessicaprofile id #23343
Paul & Jessica are hopeful adoptive parents from Indiana waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

We'd love to hear from you!
We are Paul and Jessica! We met in high school, became best friends, and married after college. Now after six wonderful years of marriage, we are excited to extend our love and family through open adoption. We cannot imagine our child not knowing where they came from, what their birthfamily looks like, or where he or she gets the shape of their feet or color of their hair. We plan to tell our child from the beginning about their birthfamily and Jessica has even already started a scrapbook for the baby about their adoption. We welcome contact with you and are open to discussing the type and amount of contact that you desire to have.

Why I chose Jessica… Jessica is the most beautiful person that I have ever known, inside and out. From her smile that can light up any room to her gentle nature, she is truly unique! There is no one else I’d choose to be the mother of my children. Children are her life! Jessica loves children and has spent most of her life working with them. Now she is looking forward to caring for her own child. Decorating for Christmas or taking them to the zoo, I just know she would be the best mommy!
Paul
Why I chose Paul…. Paul is an amazing husband! His gift of making everyone comfortable and loved is one of a kind. Paul always has a smile and a joke to lighten difficult days. He has a great ability to connect with children at any age, and loves to play catch, hide and seek, and jump on the trampoline. Paul cherishes playing with our nieces and nephews and they can’t wait for another playmate! My heart skips a beat when I see the gentleness in him when he rocks and cuddles a newborn. Paul is looking forward to sharing his childhood books, legos, and matchbox cars with our child!

Our Family
Our families
Paul has a very close family with fifteen nieces and nephews. Adoption is not new to his family, Paul's uncle and aunt have adopted two children and are great mentors through the adoption process.
Jessica’s family lives within minutes and we visit them frequently. Her mom, sister and friends are excited to baby-sit and Jessica’s nephew is really looking forward to a new cousin! Our friends and family are very excited about our decision to adopt! We cannot wait to welcome the birthfamily into our family.
Our pets are an important part of our family as well. Oscar is our very playful puppy, always ready for a belly-rub. Pebbles is our curious cat, always trying to explore in those places she can never quite fit! Watching her try to back herself out of tight corners always makes us laugh!
Traditions
Traditions are very important to our family. Most of our traditions surround the holidays or important dates in our family. One tradition that we have is vacationing around our anniversary in May. We both look forward to taking our child on many wonderful adventures as we explore the world.
Another tradition that our family has is watching fireworks on the Fourth of July. We usually go to one of the parks and have a cookout before watching the fireworks.
One of Jessica's favorite traditions is decorating for the holidays. She loves to decorate inside and outside the house. From scarecrows and jack-o-lanterns to Christmas lights and beautiful trees she doesn't miss a beat. Much to Paul's excitement each room in our house is full of holiday splendor.
Each year in October we go to the pumpkin patch with Jessica's family to pick out just the right pumpkin. Then we get together to carve them and roast the seeds.
The most important holiday traditions in our family surround Thanksgiving and Christmas. We enjoy getting together with family that we have not seen for a while and creating new memories. Watching the children open gifts is always fun.
About Us
Our home
We live in Avon, Indiana, a small town five miles west of Indianapolis. Our house is on a quiet street within walking distance of wonderful elementary and middle schools. Nearby parks have great sledding hills and hiking trails. We are looking forward to spending time in our backyard playing football games, catch, and enjoying summer cookouts on the deck. We cannot wait for our first family trip to the Children's Museum and the Zoo in downtown Indianapolis! We are active with our local church and have a deep faith that we look forward to sharing with our child.
Our Careers
Jessica works at a local middle school as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for underprivileged students. She is so excited to have summers and school breaks off to spend time with our child. Paul works for the Indiana Government and has a flexible work schedule. Our schedules will allow one of us to stay home with the baby for the first few months. After that, trusted family and friends will help care for our child when necessary.
Interests
Our Interests
We love to curl up in front of the fireplace and watch movies while snuggled under a blanket. Even Oscar and Pebbles get into the act! We have a great collection of our favorite Disney and Pixar movies that we can't wait to see through the eyes of our child. We also like to visit friends and family, take family vacations, and go to ball games and other local sporting events. We are excited to include our baby in our daily walks around the neighborhood with Oscar. Jessica loves to decorate and has mad the baby's bedding with her mom. Paul enjoys sports, history, and creative work with his hands and has already painted the nursery.
