David & Kristen are hopeful adoptive parents from North Carolina waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Congratulations!
We're Adopting a Boy.

Dear Friend,
We first want you to know how much we appreciate you. It means the world to us that you would consider us as potential parents for your precious child. We have prayed for children for so long and hope you can help answer our prayers. We cannot imagine how difficult this time must be for you--so many choices, so many decisions to make that will affect your life and the life of your baby. Please know without doubt that we are filled with much respect, admiration and gratitude for you. We pray for you and your family every night, that you will be comforted and guided on this journey.

When we were married in 1995, we dreamed of a house full of love, with our children laughing around the dinner table. The thought filled us with joy! We would have never guessed that 10 years later, there would still be empty seats, waiting to be filled. But 3 years ago, through the miracle of adoption, and the love of an amazing birthmother, one seat was filled by our sweet daughter, Camille. And we anxiously await the arrival of more little ones to add to our family. Each of us, even Cammie, has felt there are members of our family waiting to join us. We physically miss them. The adoption of Cammie was such a special experience, and we look forward to opening our hearts to another birth family and child.

We both come from very close-knit families--who are shamelessly excited about adopting another baby. There would be no shortage of love and support waiting for this child. Family (including many small cousins), friends, neighbors and 2 dogs eagerly await the arrival of another wee one.
About Us :D HER STORY
See what a gentleman David is? He let me go first. David is such an amazing husband and father. I don't know how I got so lucky to have him. He is a gentle soul, bringing calm to my crazy chaos. He's got such a kind heart. He's always doing sweet things for me and Cammie. He loves to brings us "treats for his sweets," breakfast in bed & flowers for no reason. He helps out A LOT around the house (his momma trained him well.) And I love how he loves Cammie. It is so cute to see the excitement on her face when Daddy comes home. She loves for us to go out and rock on the front porch and wait for him to pull in the driveway. Then the dancing, running, and wrestling begins! It has been a great privilege in my life to watch David become a father, and he has exceeded every expectation I had. He is a kid at heart. Children love him - he's just a natural.

HIS STORY
Kristen is my sweetheart, my confidante, my biggest supporter, my most loyal fan, my most honest critic and my favorite person in the whole world. She is outgoing, funny, very talented (and I continue to be amazed as she discovers new skills/talents on a yearly basis), compassionate, forgiving, passionate, resourceful, and above all, family-oriented. "Family first" is always her rule. She is the heart of our home and a marvelous mother. It's been a joy to watch Kristen as she exposes Cammie to art, music, nature, books, and various other fun things. She encourages her to help with baking and cleaning, reads to her from the scriptures and good books, and teaches her about prayer as well as her Heavenly Father and Savior.

OUR STORY
Cammie is an amazing little person! She possesses an uncommon sensitivity to others' feelings. She is enthusiastic and imaginative. She loves to please and help and makes others laugh--but she's no push-over. She definitely lives life on her terms. She likes to jump, swing and play outside. Cammie has the sweetest faith in the power of prayer. She knows her prayers are answered. We learn a lot from her. She loves the different facets of nature, from finding rocks at the park, playing with sand at the beach, to picking the best leaves out during the fall. And she loves little babies (she's already pointed out the baby set, with swing and stroller, that she wants this Christmas). We have to stop her from touching every baby she sees. She's so gentle and loving with younger children. She's going to be an awesome big sister.
Our Life and Loves OUR LIFE
We love our sweet little life! We live in a small, friendly town that's very family-oriented. There are plenty of parks, biking and hiking trails, wonderful schools and a library. We live about 20 minutes from Raleigh so we're still close to all the action of a big city - with the art shows, concerts, sports, etc.

David is a Chiropractic Sports Physician. He sees all kinds of patients from babies to retirees, but he especially loves working with athletes. He's the official chiropractor for a local university's athletic department. He also loves working with children, and is working toward an advanced degree in pediatric chiropractic.

Kristen is so blessed to be able to stay home with Cammie. They have the best time playing, reading, crafting, cleaning and cooking together. They go to the library and often go off on "adventures" to see what they can discover.

Our favorite day together is Friday because David closes his office. We have the whole day together! We often go exploring, leave for a three-day weekend break, or run errands as a family and have lunch together. One Friday a month we volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels. Serving together as a family has been very rewarding. It's been especially sweet to see Cammie showing love and concern to those on our route, and how she brightens their day when she helps us bring the food into their homes.

OUR LOVES
If we could summarize in just a few words what we love, it would have to be Family, Laughter, Music, Traveling, Movies, Food, Holidays, and the BEACH! Okay, maybe that's not a few words. We enjoy walking our dogs, Roscoe and Pugsley, through our neighborhood. Cammie is so social, she loves to wave to all the kids on our street.

We try to get away to our family beach house as often as possible. It's tradition to roll down the windows as soon as we cross the bridge to the island. We love the smell of the ocean (Cammie and the dogs get so excited - they love the beach too!) David & Cammie like to ride the waves and occasionally convince Kristen to stop playing in the sand long enough to join them. We also love to travel and try to take at least one fun trip a year. We've hit the Bahamas, Church and US historical sites, visited family, Busch Gardens(too many times to count), and the Zoo (we have season passes). We’ve really fallen in love with the Mountains and have made it a tradition to visit when the leaves are changing. So far, we haven't ventured out of the US, but we didn't want your baby to miss out. Sometimes we fly, but more often we drive. We love the time we get to spend together in the car singing, laughing and catching up. The best part is taking Cammie! It is so fun to see everything new through her eyes. Everything excites her.

Around town we enjoy eating out (we love good food!), playing games with friends, going to the movies and concerts (we recently saw Josh Groban & Michael Buble), and cheering for David's alma mater (David's brother has fantastic season tickets for Football and Basketball.) We also like to snuggle down after Cammie goes to bed and watch our favorite shows – we’re in love with “Lost”, “The Office” and “Heroes.”

DAVID
David personally loves Sports - running/cross training, golf, and basketball. You'll also find him reading, quite a bit. He's always got a spy, military or suspense novel in hand. David and his brother often get together on mornings off to play PS3. Their game of choice - FIFA Soccer. Listening outside the door, you'd think they were playing the real game. Their enthusiasm is quite entertaining! And surprising though it is, David is a champion Bargain hunter. Whether it's Craigslist, online, Marshalls, or yard sales, the man is the expert on finding the best deal. Awesome! David is a lucky soul that he has the best job in the world. He derives so much satisfaction from helping people everyday be healthier and happier. And of course, his greatest joy is time with his family, especially at the Beach and Mountains.

KRISTEN
Kristen is in love with Photography! Wherever she is, there is a camera around her neck or close at hand. She loves to capture the beauty of everyday life, in her surroundings and in the faces of the people she loves. She's very into Art: Drawing-Especially portraits, Painting-Watercolors/pastels. She started taking Piano a few years ago, and delights in filling the home with music. She loves, loves, loves to travel and see new places. Kristen also has a stack of books on her nightstand and always reads at the end of her day. All things Harry Potter, Twilight and Jane Austen thrill her. Cooking is something she enjoys, as long as someone is willing to clean-up after her! She can make a mean cupcake. And she loves incorporating her photos and words into Digital Scrapbooking. In fact, she works from home for a Digital Scrapbooking website, writing articles, scrapping and helping women all over the world learn Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to preserve their memories and write their stories.

CAMMIE
Cammie has some very intense loves of her own. She's never met a rock, horse or train she didn't adore. She loves to cook in her kitchen and make delicious dishes for her pony, Snap. He is a well-fed, albeit, stuffed horse. She must smell every flower, real or fake, rose or weed, in sight. And she loves to sign. We've been teaching her American Sign Language since she was tiny, and she can sign over 200 words. She goes to a sweet little school three mornings a week and loves her teacher and classmates. Cammie also is mad about painting -especially watercolors. Of course we keep every masterpiece she churns out.
Our Promise To You A life full of opportunities for education, culture, travel, and athletic and artistic expression await your child. Our parents made sure they provided every means possible to allow us to express ourselves, and we want nothing less for your child. As a result of our upbringing, we have had wonderful experiences that have enriched our lives. We look forward to providing these same opportunities! Hugs and kisses, bedtime stories, trips to the beach cottage, trips to the country farm, walks in the woods, laughing until we hurt, wiping tears, kneeling in prayer, smiling for (lots of) pictures, hiding and seeking, playing dress-up, lullabies, making snow angels, little league games, coloring outside the lines, tying shoes, games of HORSE, snuggling up for movies, dance recitals, singing at the top of our lungs in the car, making mud pies, looking for sea shells, dressing up the dogs (they love it according to Cammie)...Cammie can hardly wait to have someone to share these experiences with! But out of all this, the greatest gift we would give your child is two parents who love each other immensely.

It is also very important to us that your child always knows how much they are loved by you. Your child will know the great sacrifice their birthparents made so they could belong to a family. We honor and love Cammie's birthparents and grandparents. You and your family would be no exception. We very much want to keep in touch via pictures, letters, emails and even visits if you would like. We firmly believe that a child cannot have too many people in their life that love them. We're open to anything we can do to make this process easier for you. We would love to meet you.

Thank you really doesn't seem adequate - but thank you for this opportunity. We pray the Lord will guide you to a decison that will bring you peace. He loves all His children, especially you and this little spirit on the way. He will give you answers to your prayers.

With love,
David, Kristen and Cammie
