Jim & Jennifer are hopeful adoptive parents from Virginia waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Congratulations!
Adoption in Progress.

Dear Birth Mother: We are Jim and Jennifer. We have been married for five years and have a strong and loving relationship. In many ways, our infertility issues have brought us even closer. These past five years have sometimes been difficult, but we always find a way to move ahead. We look forward to the day that we will have a child to care for, through the loving gift of adoption.

We can't imagine the things that you are dealing with right now. You must have so many questions. Hopefully, reading our letter will help answer some of them. If, after reading this, you would like to talk with us, please feel free to call. We are compassionate people and will be supportive and understanding of the situation you are in.

We are looking to adopt a child through private adoption because we want to make a connection with you, the birth mother. We called many adoption agencies and didn't feel that they would know us well enough to find our baby. We feel a better way is to search on our own and, hopefully, all of us will find each other. You have as much control in this as we do, and that is important.
About Us: As Jim's best friend, I will tell you some things about him that make him so special to me. First, I love his hugs. I get lots of them and they make me feel great. He also makes me laugh at just the right moments, and he sings out loud. He also likes to whistle. (I can't whistle, so I am a bit jealous.) I also believe he is the smartest guy in the world. He has a Master's Degree in Engineering and is currently taking a class at the local college to continue his skills. He is a very hard worker and likes to challenge himself. He is also very handy around the house, replacing old doors, installing dry wall, or just putting up a new light fixture. During his down time, Jim enjoys playing the piano and is also teaching himself how to play the bass guitar. Jim also loves the outdoors. He has been backpacking in Canada, goes on a week long ski trip with close friends every year, and we both enjoy jogging around a lake near our home. We also have a lot of fun on our bowling team, with my Aunt and a friend from college. Another important aspect of Jim is his love for his family. His older sister, younger brother, mother, and father are very important in his life. We enjoy going on trips as a family to the beach every year. One of the things that will make Jim a great dad is his ability to connect with kids. They absolutely love him! Babies, toddlers, his niece and nephew, connect with him right away and want to play or be held by him. He loves it too!

Jen is my beautiful, caring, and fun-loving wife. Jen has this outgoing personality that both amazes me and makes me feel a real sense of pride that I'm her husband. She goes out of her way to help friends or even strangers. She is the first person to say "I can do it" if someone needs anything. Watching her strong relationship with her family, which lives close by, really shows who Jennifer is. Her love of gardening is shared with her mom. Her love of cooking is shared with her grandmother and fishing with her grandfather. Football is shared with her dad. Her love of laughter, and just being whacky, is shared with her two sisters and three nephews. Her love for me shows through when she makes us fantastic dinners. Jen owns her own business providing graphic design and other creative services. The good values instilled in her by her family carries through to her work. Her business is successful and her clients really enjoy working with her. Jennifer and I both have decided together that she will put aside her business in order to raise a child when the time comes. Her heart is ready to give great care and unconditional support to a child — it really just comes naturally for Jennifer. I can't wait to see her be a mom.
Parenting: As parents we will strive to provide the best for our child. We want him or her to have a happy, successful, and stress free life. We believe in a good education and look forward to helping our child with their studies, reports, art projects, and other activities. We look forward to finding out who they are and what they like to do, whether it's sports, art, volunteering, or traveling (or all of them!) We are financially secure and can provide our child with a home that is stable and grounded. Most of all, we can offer our child unconditional love. Our child has been growing in our hearts for some time now. We look forward to the day that he or she will grow with us in our arms and in our loving home.
Let's Help Each Other: If you feel we are the couple that should be your child's forever-family, we would be honored and so grateful. If you wish, we will be open with letters and photos over the years.

Maybe we can help each other. Please call or email Send us a message us so we can meet and get to know each other better.

All the Best,
Jim and Jennifer
