Fitting Right In! Hi! We're Ev & Sarah. We are already adoptive parents of EJ and we can't wait to bring another child (or children) into our loving home!

Because we can only imagine what an overwhelming time this must be for you, our wish is that you continue on your path with the peace, comfort, and assurance that you have given the gift of joy not only to an adoptive family, but also to the child involved.

This letter will give you insight into our family – helping you decide if your hopes for your baby match our parenting dreams. We promise to answer all of your questions openly and honestly.

We admire your courageous decision to consider adoption for your child and we realize this decision is driven by both your strength and unconditional love.

We understand first hand how adoption can complete a family. In addition to adopting EJ, Sarah herself is adopted by her father and 2 of Sarah's sisters are adopted.

About Us We are both in our 30’s, and met over 12 years ago. Our friendship has grown into a wonderful marriage – we just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. We live a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy traveling, golfing, skiing, sporting events, and watching movies at home.

Throughout our marriage, we have enjoyed the opportunity to travel to many, many places around the world including Europe, Japan, Costa Rica, and Hawaii. We love to experience new places and plan to enrich our children’s lives with continued travel adventures.

ABOUT SARAH (From Ev)
Sarah is a generous, kind, loving person who has taught me more about the selfless nature of love than I could ever imagine. Even with a busy toddler, she always makes time to be there for her friends and family, offering a hand with smile. She is bright and witty, and never settles for anything less than our best. She is very successful at work and still loves to ski, read, watch baseball and spend countless hours at the playground with EJ. Sarah is a person of great faith, passion and strength who showers our child with joy, laughter and most of all, love.

ABOUT EV (From Sarah)
Ev is a compassionate, loyal, generous and responsible family man – and I absolutely adore being married to him! Growing up in a poor family, he worked hard in high school, got scholarships to college and graduate school, and now has an executive level job that makes his family so proud. Ev is athletic and loves teaching kids how to play all kinds of sports. But more importantly, Ev will guide our children to be loving, caring and responsible people. He is one of those people who’s always loved and enjoyed by all – often referred to as the ‘comic relief’ in the group. But the person he makes laugh the most is EJ!

TRUE RESPONSIBILITY OF PARENTING

We believe in strong values and that family comes first. Most strongly, we are committed to principles of treating others with kindness and respect. Our family motto is “Treat others as you would want them to treat you.” Our home is filled with lots of fun and we always provide an enriching and positive environment for our children. Learning is important to us, so we do our best to fill our home with books, music, art and education. We will always encourage our children to pursue their dreams and will provide them with all the support, guidance and principles they’ll need to be secure, happy people.

LOTS OF LOVE FROM FAMILY and FRIENDS! We are both surrounded by our incredible families and great friends – many we met through childhood church youth groups and common values. They’re all anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new family member! Both of us come from big families with numerous siblings. Ev’s brother and sister and also Sarah’s sister live very close by allowing us to spend valuable time with our nephew and EJ to spend lots of time with Aunts and Uncles. Sarah’s parents live in Colorado and are very involved in our lives, hosting many family events throughout the year – especially holidays and winter trips. All of our siblings are already Moms, Dads, Aunts and Uncles and are just waiting to spoil a new niece or nephew!

We live in a warm, comfortable home in a very family-friendly neighborhood. Our community is filled with many children and offers great school options as well as lots of activities for kids, such as a yearly Halloween parade, Easter Egg Hunt and children-only swimming pool. We live directly next to a brand new playground, tennis & basketball courts and golf course. We are also very fortunate to live near a large city that offers children culture, museums and many other fun things to do. We are especially known for our annual 4th-of-July party that includes a great view of the city fireworks. We also often visit Ev’s grandparents’ homeland of Puerto Rico, where we enjoy the beach and golf. And we also have the great luck to often enjoy family outings in the wide open space of Colorado, where Sarah’s family lives. Regular Colorado visits include skiing, hiking and horses.
