Randy & Heather are hopeful adoptive parents from Colorado waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

We know that this must be a very hard decision for you and can only imagine the feelings and emotions that you are experiencing, yet we are so grateful to you for taking the time to get to know us. We respect you and the selfless decision you are making and want you to know that we strongly believe that our Heavenly Father knows you and what you are going through. We also know that he has a plan for us, and we look forward to the day that we can bring another beautiful baby into our home. We cannot comprehend fully what you are going through as you try to make the best decision possible for both you and your baby, but we hope that we can help you to better understand who we are and where we are coming from as we are embarking on the next leg of our journey as we prepare to adopt.

Randy and I have been married for ten years, and we are still as much in love as ever. From the day we met we have been best friends and what a blessing that has been to our marriage. We waited to start our family for a few years, but then realized that having children was not going to be an easy task for us. After years of trying to add a little one to our family we were blessed with the birth of our son in November of 2005. After much thought and prayer we understand that Heavenly Father does have a plan for us and that he will prepare a way for our family to be completed with the addition of another baby. We have prayed about our options and both feel strongly that we need to adopt our next child and that is how we have gotten to where we are today.
We believe that families are very important and we want you to know that we both come from amazing families. We were both raised by awesome parents and have committed to each other that we want to be the best parents possible for our children. We were both born and raised in LDS faith and continue to live our lives accordingly. Both Randy and I come from families with 3 siblings each. I have two younger brothers both of which I have great relationships with. The oldest of my brothers is married with two beautiful children and another on the way, and my youngest brother is serving a two-year mission for the church. Randy has a great older sister and a younger brother that is his best friend. Each of his siblings have three kids each so as you can see there are a lot of cousins for our children to grow up with.
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science, and have finally found the best job on the face of the earth. After years of working in the finance department for our local county government, I traded my business attire in exchange for t-shirts and jeans to take on the most rewarding role I have ever had…a stay-at-home Mom. I love being at home watching my son change and grow, and I would never trade it for anything in the world. From playgroup at the park or Swimming on a hot summer day to making sugar cookies at Christmas and finger painting pictures for Daddy, I can honestly say I never have a dull moment and couldn’t imagine my life any other way. I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a Mom, but I never imagined in my wildest dreams the joy I would find in taking care of my family. Late at night after I tuck my little one in for the night I love to curl up with a good book, get a few scrapbook pages done or just sit out on our back porch and talk to Randy.

Randy was raised on a Dairy farm with his family, so he knows and understands the meaning of hard work. But don’t let that fool you… he also knows how to have fun. He grew up playing with toy trucks and tractors (or anything with wheels really) along side his brother so he makes the perfect Daddy for our son. I love to watch my two boys drive tractors across my kitchen floor with engine noises and all.

Randy went to Dairy Vocational School and then furthered his education here in Colorado with an Associates Degree in Language Arts/Spanish. He is still pursuing his Bachelors degree in Business at a nearby University. He is currently working for a Dairy Equipment and Supply company as the Service Manager/Sales representative, and he loves his job. In his spare time, Randy likes to ride 4-wheelers, work in his garage, spend time on his parent’s dairy, and just have fun as a family.
We love being outdoors and find lots of things to keep us busy. The mountains are beautiful here in Colorado and we are lucky enough that Randy’s parents have a great little cabin that we often get to vacation in. We love to take walks with the wagon, ride our 4-wheelers, play at Granny and Grandpa’s dairy or spend an evening just playing at the park. We also enjoy going to the car races, spending time with our extended family for Sunday night dinners, taking vacations, reading books together, watching a good movie (usually CARS or Toy Story if Xander picks) and just being together.

We look forward to getting to know you and hope that this helps you to understand a little bit more about us. We want to thank you for your courage and want you to know that we understand this is a huge decision for you to make.

With all our love,
Randy and Heather
