Craig & Grace are hopeful adoptive parents from Colorado waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthparents
Dear Birth parents,
Thank-you for taking this time to get to know our family. We are Craig and Grace. Thank you for the courage and the love that you have to make this decision for your child. We appreciate you and know that you love your child. We are aware of the selflessness you have that makes his or her future well-being your first priority. We are thankful for your insight and consideration. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Craig and I met in our freshman English class at Penn State. When we walked into that dreaded 7 pm night class. Neither one of us thought we would meet the love of our lives. Our first date was on December 16th. We went to see a terrible movie and Craig asked me how you even pronounced my last name (it was Michalsky at the time). We were smitten from the beginning. We were engaged a year later.
We were inseparable the following two years at school. We were married in the beautiful Washington DC Temple one week after after graduation. Neither one of us could stop smiling all day. The best man, in his toast, said that that was one of the first thing he noticed about Craig that he couldn't stop smiling.
Craig
(From Grace) I love Craig so much. Craig is told over and over again what a great Father he will be. He loves children and that shines through all of his interactions with them. Craig has a contagious smile and a warm personality. He is a wonderful, responsible provider. He makes me laugh; he makes me feel safe and loved.
Craig grew up in a Military family with one older sister and one older brother. He lived in Germany, Texas, and Italy before graduating for high school. He has friends from all over the world. His experiences with different cultures has made him sensitive and accepting to the differences and uniqueness in everyone.
Craig likes photography, bike riding, barbecuing, fixing things, computers, games, and jazz (Wynton Marsalis, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis...).
Grace
(From Craig) Grace grew up as part of a large family and she always wanted a big family of her own, with a lot of children to love and care for. She lived in the same house, with her three older brothers and one younger sister, until she went to college. Because she lived there so long, she has a strong belief in stability, consistency, and being surrounded by family and close friends. She is still good friends with her best friend from Kindergarten.
Whenever I see Grace with children, I see her as a Mother already. She joyfully looks forward to staying at home with our future children to love, nurture and guide them. The patience she has is outstanding. She has a lot of experience with children, through family, teaching Pre-school and Head Start, and working in Day Care and child development centers. One of her favorite things is the sound of a baby’s laugh.
Grace is laid back and logical. She enjoys reading, knitting (scarves, (baby) blankets, hats...), organizing, number/word puzzles (sudoku, futoshiki, word finds), animals (including our two cats, Jetters and Mika), cooking, and gardening.
More about us and hopefully you
Throughout the nine years that we have been together, we have gotten to know each other very well. We have learned a lot from each other and we continue to learn about each other and from each other every day. Being an eternal family is the most important thing to us. We are infinitely lucky to be each other’s best friend. We have a strong relationship and we are constantly strengthening our relationship. We enjoy anything as long as we are together. We enjoy family activities and look forward to sharing them with our children.
We like to travel and see new places, spend time with our families, go to baseball games (go Rockies!), take walks, watch movies (comedies are our favorite), and take classes together. We discuss everything and make all of our important decisions as a family. We believe that as future parents, it is important to discuss matters that affect the family, provide a united front, and be open, honest, and consistent.
We have both been interested in adoption since before we were married. We always knew that this was a possible way for us to expand our family. Adoption is a wonderful thing and we are both very thankful for this opportunity. We believe it is important to talk about and celebrate your child’s adoption always. He or she will always know how much you love him or her.
Craig is a Captain in the US Army. Shortly after we were married, we loved to Germany and lived there for three years. We learned fast to be independent and depend on each other, while still having a close relationship with our family and friends. We have been blessed so much in our lives together. While living in Europe, we were able to do a lot of traveling. We visited Paris, Brussels, Luxembourg, London, Wales, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria, as well as many places in Germany.
Education is very important to us. Craig has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and is currently taking graduate classes in public health administration. Grace has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Child Development. She is currently taking a class on family and parenting from Brigham Young University (BYU).
We are grateful for your wisdom, thoughtfulness, and courage. Thank you for reading our letter and considering us as potential parents for your beautiful child. We look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions that you have about us. We are open to exchanging letters and pictures. Please feel free to contact us at
Send us a message. We are excited to bring a child into our home and expand our family.
With love,
Craig & Grace
