Dave & Jill are hopeful adoptive parents from Pennsylvania waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

LONGING TO ADOPT... Hi, we are Dave and Jill and we would like to offer your child a very warm, and loving Christian home that already includes a sweet, adorable 3 year-old sister named June! If given the opportunity to be the parents of your child, we would put our heart and soul into being the best parents we could possibly be.

We understand that special circumstances may not make it possible for you to care for your child. The pain that you endure in giving your child to another couple to raise is unimaginable to us; but, we trust that the Lord has a perfect plan for your child’s future.
MEET OUR FAMILY We are 34 years of age, and will celebrate our 8th year of marriage in June. We live in a large two-story farmhouse on a 166 acre farm in western PA. Dave, of course, is a farmer & works for a heavy machinery company. Jill is a first grade teacher at a local elementary school. As a family, we enjoy a wide variety of activities—swimming, biking, hiking, campfires, traveling, and socializing with family & friends.

We both come from large families that are very close in relationships. In fact, we visit one another regularly as all of our siblings and parents (except for Jill’s brother) live within fifteen miles of our home! Our child will have 1 big sister, 8 aunts, 7 uncles, 4 grandparents, 1 great-grandmother and 16 cousins (all under the age of 17). Both families plan many fun gatherings for every holiday and various other occasions.

Precious June!
June is a delightful, sweet child who enjoys swimming, painting, puzzles, sledding, music, games and dancing. She thoroughly enjoys kids of all ages and animals of all kind. Some of her other favorite things to do at home include: playing in her sandbox and on her swing set, taking walks, fishing, petting the cat, or throwing a stick to Maddie, our Black Lab. June interacts very well with other children and is always glad to have her cousins come to play or sleepover. She adores babies and is anxious for a baby to become part of our family. June has brought so much laughter, love and happiness into our lives and we know that she will provide the same for a sister or brother.

June learns very quickly. She is almost consistent at naming all of her letters and she knows many of the letter sounds. She can count to 30, knows her colors & shapes, and can rhyme words. She is very interested in reading books and is already developing early reading skills.

Dave: "Jill is a very loving, caring, wonderful wife and mother. Jill cares very deeply for June, and I , and loves the responsibility of being a wife and mother. Jill has so much to offer a child—her love, her time, her wisdom, and her education. Jill is also an adventurous person who absolutely loves to have fun, she is always laughing and joking around with June and I. She is a very dedicated person who works hard at everything she does. She has provided a loving, Christian home for June, and I know she would do the same for another child."

Jill: "Dave is a very sweet and devoted husband and father. He has a wonderful personality that appeals to many people. He is naturally kind-hearted and gentle; yet, capable of standing firm when it comes to moral issues. Dave has a superior work ethic and is motivated to provide for his family. Not only has he provided a large house for his family to grow into, but he also has renovated and finished it into a beautiful home. He genuinely cares for June & I and has more love and patience that any child could ever desire in a dad. Dave is an incredible father who takes good care of June in every way needed."

If blessed by being the parents of your child, he or she will continually have fun activities to engage in here at the farm. Not only are there opportunities to enjoy farm animals, but also fishing and skating at the pond, sledding down our big hills, riding bicycles, or playing in the streams, all at their leisure and all in their own backyard! We also take weekend trips to our family camp in the mountains of Elk County, swim in the pool, go boating, or hike and bike at state parks!

At the time of our adopted child's birth, Jill will take off a full year of work to bond and care for our new baby. Additionally, even though we both have jobs, each of us have extended time off of work during the year. Jill is a stay-at-home mom during the summer and holiday breaks, while Dave is a stay-at-home dad during portions of the winter months. When we both have to work, our baby will receive special care from either of his/her grandmothers.

OUR VALUES FAITH: Our faith is the center of our lives. We pray together daily and attend weekly church services, bible studies and other church activities. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that it is important to learn God's word. We have taught these lessons to June and, as a result, she has a genuine love for Jesus and is thoroughly excited to attend church & AWANA.

PARENTING: We are deeply dedicated to being effective, loving and caring parents. We will and have put every effort into raising well-mannered and respectful children. Teaching responsibilities such as helping to set the table and cleaning up after themselves are also important. It is equally important for us to express our love for our children. Hugs, kisses, and words of love, like "I love you", are expressed daily. Additionally, we often refer to books by Dr. Dobson and family members for parental advice.

EDUCATION: Naturally, education is a priority to Jill. Likewise, Dave believes it is a priority for our children. Not only do we take the time to teach primary skills to June on a daily basis, but we also plan educational outings and experiences to foster her learning. In addition, we have already begun a college savings plan for June and we will do the same for our new baby.

In Closing... Our hope is to have an open adoption very similiar to the current one we have with June's birth mother. It consists/ed of: Communicating & meeting a few times prior to June's birth, sharing in the birthing experience with Jill in the delivery room, yearly pictures, and a few visitations. It would be a dream come true for Jill to be in the delivery room to hold the baby! We do understand that your needs and wishes are equally as important; therefore, we would be flexible and respect your wishes.

We respect the choice that you are making, and we know that you have put much serious thought into this difficult decision. Whomever you choose, our prayer is that you will be blessed with peace and reassurance that you have made the right decision for you and your child.

Sincerely,
Dave, Jill, & June
