Dear Birth mother,

It is so great for you to take the time to get to know us. As you make this decision, we certainly cannot comprehend what an emotional roller coaster it must be for you but we do understand the difficulty of the decision you are making. We also know that the decision you are about to make is out of complete love for your baby. We would just like to thank you, as a birthmother, for giving a family such as ours, the opportunity to grow. Our inability to have children has been very emotional and challenging. For our family, this is our only avenue to experience parenthood and realize the blessings of expanding our family. We both love children and enjoy watching them learn and grow. Even as a little girl I had dreams of being be a mother. We have been married over three years and during those threeyears, have only grown closer. We have learned so much about one another. One thing we both enjoy is spending time with our families and their children which range in age from newborn to six years of age. We both have come to realize that this is the next step in our relationship and family progression. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to consider us and for taking the time to get to know us.

CODY AND JILL PATTERSON

Our Story & Hobbies Nestled in the mountains of Idaho, where a fun couple lives who love to laugh and enjoy precious moments with family and friends.
Cody is the oldest of three children (one brother and sister) and Jill is the second youngest of five children (three brothers, one sister). They both have loving parents and both grew up in smaller towns. They actually met on a blind date and ever since, have spent as much time together as possible. Cody and Jill were married August 12th 2006. The past three years have only helped them grow closer and realize their love for each other. They are now truly ready for the next step in their lives by adding a sweet, little addition to their happy marriage. Both extended families are supportive of the decision to adopt. Being an uncle and an aunt to the best nephews in the world makes life even sweeter for them. They take every opportunity to visit both families. In their home, they spend time together cooking and sharing a meal, watching a favorite movie, or just talking. Cody works on a private golf course as an Assistant Superintendent and is an avid golfer. Jill is an excellent beautician and works in the spa on the golf course. She is also an excellent homemaker who loves crafts and decorating. When they are not watching a movie, golfing, or playing “Rock Band”, the cards are out and they are playing games with friends or family. They take time to travel, which includes going to visit family or just a quick getaway into the mountains.
When we're closer to home or even at home, we really enjoy the company of our friends and family. On some nights you can find us gathered together to play our favorite video game Rock Band, or playing cards or board games. When it’s just the two of us, we like to cuddle up on our love seat recliner for a good movie, take a bike ride around the neighborhood, work on home projects or just go for a scenic drive. This past summer, we finished our yard and have enjoyed activities on the new lawn. The actual work was more than we thought but luckily it is almost done.

Cody: I grew up with my dad who coached basketball, football and golf. Naturally, I came to love sports. I played many of them including baseball, football, golf and ran cross country. But overall, my favorite is basketball. I still play basketball in leagues and is always lots of fun. I became a freshman basketball coach myself for three years and loved doing it. However, my full time job on a golf course has made it very hard to continue coaching. I will probably get back into coaching in the future. I also have a love for video games like Rockband and any sports game that I can relive through the game. Sports games can be fun because you can simulate coaching and playing at the same time. As I mentioned, I work at a big golf resort and have the ability to golf on some of the nicest golf resorts around our area. When our families are together, we have lots of fun playing games and going out to movies. I love movies and I love even more watching them in the theatre because it is fun to get out of the house at times. I can’t wait to have a son or a daughter to share some of these interests.

Jill: I always a love to be around people and getting to know them and making friends. I love to take pictures and capture the moments of life. I grew up in a home where everyone helped with the cooking, cleaning and working outside so I have developed a talent to be a better homemaker. I love to be creative in crafts whether it is paints, scrap booking or hair. Other interests include spending time writing in my journal, blogging, cooking and sewing blankets. Some of the best times we have spent together were driving to see family and just talking. When I am alone, I enjoy listening to music and getting creative with my crafts. I love to shop for craft stores and just let my mind go crazy. I also enjoy shopping for clothes and to be creative putting different outfits together.

Cody's view of Jill Jill is an amazing part of my life. She has made me a much better person. One thing I have learned is the love she has for children of all ages. We have friends that we babysit for and I can’t even describe how great she is with them. She is the type of person that can do it all. She can balance a job, chores around the house, her church callings and never complains about any of it. She likes to keep things clean and organized. She is a very patient person, but I know it is killing her inside while she waits for the chance to be a mother. Everybody loves Jill. She used to be part of the girls camp committee. She was requested to come back for the next year because the girls wanted her back. She is so fun. I hope you choose us because any child would be so lucky to have Jill as a mom. I love her so much and hope that her dream of having a family can come true.

Jill's View of Cody Cody is a great husband; I have been so blessed to find him. It amazes me that whenever we are around kids they want to play with him. He is so gentle, fun, and happy when he is around the children. It makes me feel so good inside to see how wonderful he will be as a father. Cody has a lot of great qualities that make me proud to be his wife. He is patient, strong, loving, and has a desire to live life to the fullest. Cody has a talent in many different sports, he stays very active. He has such a big heart and love for the people in his life, and would do anything for them. He is so committed in what he is doing, and I can always talk to him. We have so much fun together; the way he can make me laugh I love Cody very much and will be happy to see him be a father.
