David & Holly are hopeful adoptive parents from Utah waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Congratulations!
Adoption in Progress.

Dear Birth Parent(s) We appreciate your taking time to read this letter to get to know us a little better. We have no idea how tough this decision must be for you with regard to your baby. Should you make the decision to place your baby for adoption, it will bless the lives of a loving couple like ourselves who are unable to bring a child into the world on our own. You are truly a selfless individual for considering this option. As you read this letter, we hope that you will feel of our sincerity and desire to complete our family through adoption. We have a lot of love to give to a baby!

We were introduced in the fall of 1999. Holly was attending college in Idaho and David had recently returned home from a church mission. While Holly was at college a friend of hers, Eileen, had relocated from their hometown in Kansas to a small town in southern Idaho which happened to be David’s hometown. Eileen was instantly impressed by David and wanted us to meet each other. Eileen arranged for us to get to know each other in a very non-threatening way, over email. We exchanged emails over the course of the next month and decided that we wanted to meet each other face-to-face. We had our first date in December. Holly knew from the very beginning that David was who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, but David took a little encouraging.

Holly went home to Kansas for the Christmas holiday, but decided to move back out to Idaho to see where the relationship was heading. We spent New Years Eve together and three weeks later were engaged. We got married in May of 2000. Neither one of us ever expected to find each other and get married so quickly. After meeting each other, we both suddenly understood that when you know it is right there is no denying it. Since then we have shared 9 wonderful years together. We both graduated with Bachelor’s degrees and David is currently working on his Master’s degree. David works as a High School Science Teacher and Holly works from home as a Medical Transcriptionist.
David's thoughts about Holly... Holly means the world to me. When I met her, I was pleasantly surprised with what was before me. I found her very attractive then and do so to this day. It is not just her physical appearance that attracts me. There is never a moment where she doesn’t help me be a better person by encouraging me to do more. She is very particular and organized. Oftentimes when I need something she knows right where it is and how to get it done. She is never content with being idle. My Love is unselfish and is always willing to adjust her schedule for me or others in need. She is very thoughtful and special. She always strives for perfection. She is my rock and inspiration.

She is an amazing person and very talented. Scrapbooking is something she is very good at and loves to do. She loves to grow flowers in the flower garden to add beauty to life. If there is a good book, she will read it with passion. She is creative and always looking for unique ways of making our home more comfortable. Holly loves to take pictures and is always looking for a reason to take one. Our home is always clean and tidy with a place for everything because she takes great pride in making our house a home. I love her with all of my heart and want her to be happy. I am so grateful that she was brought into my life.
Holly's thoughts about David... As mentioned previously, I was instantly attracted to David. The night we met in person was an amazing evening. I’ve never felt so strongly impressed before. I knew from that moment that David was the one who I should spend my life with. I was attracted to David’s tall stature, his dark hair, and physically fit build. Although David is somewhat shy and reserved, I think his church mission helped him learn how to come out of his shell some and be comfortable meeting all types of people. No matter where David goes in life or what he does, he always has a fan club of followers. It has been neat for me as his wife to see him succeed in everything he does.

David has a very relaxed and laid back personality. I think this is why so many people want to be his friend. I’m always amazed when we attend social events for the high school he works for that his fellow coworkers can’t stop talking about how much they enjoy having him around. We also can’t go to the local mall without a group of his students running over just to say hi to him. He doesn’t take life too seriously and tries to enjoy every moment he has. David is a huge sports fan! When we first met he played basketball and softball in church and city leagues. In his free time he also enjoys playing games on his Nintendo Wii and the computer. He appreciates music. His favorite type is classical music. If I fall asleep on a long road trip, I can expect to wake up to him listening to one of his favorite classical CDs. David is a very hard worker. He gives 110% in everything he does. Right now he is successful in working full-time as a teacher and also in working on his Master’s degree part-time.
We love spending time together! During the summers we try to go camping in the mountains as often as we can. We have a tent trailer and enjoy hauling that to new places. When it is just the two of us we love going to the movies. We also like to rent movies and watch them at home. We love eating out and spending time with our neighbors who have become close friends. Oftentimes we like to drive through the mountains and enjoy the beauty of this earth! Riding our bikes and walking our dogs down the river trail is another thing we take pleasure in. We own a townhouse and have enjoyed home improvement projects.

Our extended family has been very supportive and has helped us through our struggles with infertility. They are very excited about us adopting to add to our family. A child coming into our family would be welcomed by great grandparents, grandparents, 6 aunts, 8 uncles, and 22 cousins with open arms. Our family is spread out across the country which allows us to travel several times a year to many different places.

In order for a child to succeed, we feel that our rules and expectations should be clear and understood. We also feel that it is very important to teach by example. Parents should work side-by-side with children to help them understand that we do things for each other because we love them. We understand that each child is different and will respond to different forms of discipline and we will be flexible in meeting the needs of our child. Children need a loving, supportive environment that will allow them the opportunity to pursue their own interests.

Our lives have been greatly blessed because of adoption. Holly’s uncle and stepbrother were both adopted. We have also been privileged to know two couples, who are close friends, which recently received children into their families through adoption. We are excited about this opportunity! If you choose us to raise your child, we would love to keep you involved in your baby’s life through letters, pictures, emails, and our family website. Based on your desires, we are open to the possibility of meeting you personally. Although we do not yet know you, we love you and keep you in our thoughts. We hope you can find peace, comfort, and support in this trying and difficult time. Send us a message

With Love,

David & Holly
