Dear Birthmother, Hello we are Will and Adria. Thank you for taking this time to allow us to tell you about ourselves. We cannot imagine what you are going through, and are tremendously thankful to you for considering adoption for your child. We admire and respect you for making such a difficult decision; you are certainly very courageous and loving to do so.

In the five years that we have been married we have wanted so much to have children but have not been blessed with any. We have always considered adoption and know now that it is the right path for our family.

We hope that our future children know that we are blessed to have them in our lives. We look forward to sharing our life journey with them. Teaching our children about their biological parents and helping them understand where they come from will be the foundation of that journey.

About Us HOW WE MET

We first met when we were children, when Will became friends with Adria's older brother, Daniel. Will and Daniel became best friends and Will spent lots of time with Adria's family. Adria immediately fell "in love" with Will, even though she was only SIX. She spent years telling her family that she was going to marry him. Years went by and he had no idea about Adria's big crush, but he had noticed a high school cheer-leading picture of Adria hanging on the wall at her house and developed a secret crush of his own.
By the time Adria was a senior in high school, we had become very good friends and when she graduated we continued to grow even closer and finally started dating. We were married in January 2004. We still laugh that he married his best friends little sister! Daniel was the best-man at our wedding and we are all still very close today.


ABOUT WILL BY ADRIA

Will is the kind of guy who gets along with everyone. He has this amazing approachable quality and natural ability to make everyone comfortable. He is funny, generous, and extremely thoughtful. It is not uncommon to find him doing “cheers” to make me laugh, or taking care of me when I’m sick, or cooking dinner for me when I’ve had a long day. He is passionate about doing things for other people to help them, whether it’s friends and family or in business. Will is also very intelligent. He enjoys learning and is always increasing his knowledge whether it is for work or for fun. I am constantly learning something new from him.
Will has been an uncle since the age of 16, and has always been very involved in the kid’s lives. He enjoys being active in their activities whether it’s sports with the boys or dolls with our niece. He’s a natural role model and teacher, as well as very compassionate. I love to watch him interact with children and I can’t wait to see him as a father.

ABOUT ADRIA BY WILL

At first glance anyone can tell you how pretty Adria is. When she walks into a room, she brightens the mood with her infectious smile and dimples. When people, me included, get to know her we are all amazed by the person behind that bright smile. Her accomplishments in school, business and everyday life show her intelligence. After meeting Adria, you can tell within a short time that she is a very smart woman. You can also be amused by her funny personality. Most of all, anyone who is blessed with knowing my wife cannot deny her incredibly loving personality. It is evident with everyone she is close to.
The best way to describe Adria’s personality is by explaining her interaction with children. Whenever we are around kids, no matter whose they are, they are drawn to her. She has a nurturing ability that comes naturally to her, as well as a silly side that allows her to entertain and play with kids for hours. Watching Adria with children brings great joy to me and I can’t wait to see her as a mother.

Our Families WILL'S FAMILY

We are very fortunate to be surrounded by Will’s family. Will’s mom is a school teacher and lives next door to us. His dad passed away in 2001. Will is the youngest of three boys. His oldest brother and wife have two sons and his middle brother just recently married. We get together often and there is never a shortage of laughs and good times.

ADRIA'S FAMILY

We are also blessed to live near Adria’s family. Adria is the middle of three children. Her brother, his wife and two kids live just a few minutes away. Her younger sister is a college student near by. We all gather frequently at Adria’s mom and step-dad's house. Adria’s dad works out of town, but always makes sure he spends time with everyone when he is in town. No matter where we're gathered, we always have a good time and the kids are usually the center of attention-we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Things we like to do We truly love spending time together no matter what we are doing. Traveling is something we really enjoy and have been fortunate to visit many different places. We also enjoy attending sporting events such as drag racing, football, baseball, and basketball, whether they are professional or our nephews playing locally.
Even though we like going places, one of our favorite things is being at home. We enjoy working on home improvement projects, staying in to watch movies and entertaining friends. We also love being outside riding four wheelers, working in the yard, and playing with our dogs.
Our friends and family are a big part of our lives. We love spending time with them and helping them out too. It is not uncommon to find us relaxing, barbecuing and enjoying the children or helping them out with their household projects.

We both love life and enjoy making each other and those around us laugh and have a good time. We feel we are pretty laid back and down to earth, yet highly motivated and responsible. We have a strong relationship and love for each other that has carried us through the good times and the hard times.

We can’t wait to add a child to our family. We look forward to sharing holiday traditions, playing at the park, teaching them new things, taking family vacations and all the time between.
