TB & Darcy are hopeful adoptive parents from Illinois waiting to adopt a baby.

Dear Birthmother We want you to know how excited we are that you are considering us for your child’s parents. We know this has been a very difficult decision for you, and we pray that you have continued strength and perseverance. We applaud your decision to give your child a better life and hope that if you feel a connected to us, choose us. We do not have any children now, but know that God has one chosen just for us.

Our Values We met about eight years ago at Willow Creek Church at a singles event. I did not remember meeting TB, but then we ran into each other again in 2004. We realized that both of us had God first in our lives and enjoyed dancing and conversation. Both of us value family and were taking care of our parents too. We fell in love and married on July 22, 2005.

About Us TB, which stands for Themistocles Basile, is Greek and loves his heritage. He can cook just about anything and is a FedEx home delivery driver. TB’s heart extends to everyone he meets and makes everyone laugh. For example he tried to making his own snow plow by putting a Rubbermaid container on its side in front of his car. Unfortunately, it did not work, but made me crack up.

I, Darcy, am Irish and German. I love to dance and to learn. I am English as a secondary language teacher for kindergartners through second graders at a school five minutes from our house. I have had the same position for 6years one being an art teacher. I enjoy making thins with my nephew, Jonas. One time I helped turn him into a mini Santa with jewelry cotton of a beard, my tall zipper black boots, a red shirt, a pillow for stuffing, a thick black belt, and a Santa hat! It is a wonderful to encourage and inspire children, which we will both do with our own child.

Our Priorities Our priorities are God, our families, our jobs and our friends. We go to church regularly to grow spiritually and I volunteer in the children’s program once a month. Our families include TB’s sister, Lea, and her husband, Tom, and their children, Alex, 11, and Bobby, 16, who lives about an hour from us. Darcy’s stepfather,Bill, who lives in Michigan, and a 12 year old nephew, Jonas, who lives in Rockford. We see them for every holiday and have game night or fishing sleepovers too. We are also close to our aunts; Aunt Dee Dee, who lives in Chicago, and Aunt Janetta, who lives in California. I also have a great friend, Kim, who lives about an hour from us and joins us for every holiday. Plus we have a little Yorkie dog, Taz, who is like our little boy and loves children as much as we do.

Although our moms both passed away in 2005, God has blessed us with many friends that supports us through the hard times and celebrate the good times. TB and I both enjoy having dinners, studying the bible, and going to the movies with our friends. We find that we value each other more then.

We love to have fun throughout the year too by going to festivals, parades, swimming, and going on vacations. Our hearts are longing for a child to love, encourage, teach, and have fun with.
