Dear Birth Parent We are filled with a sense of gratitude that you are allowing us the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. Thank you so much for considering us as potential parents for your child. We hope that you learn more about us as you read our profile and would feel comfortable with allowing us to raise your child and love them unconditionally. We realize that this is a very important decision that you are about to make and we embrace you with our thoughts and prayers.

About Us We have been happily married for 11 years and are the parents of a 2 year old daughter Marissa. Marissa’s birth parents blessed us by choosing us to adopt her in May of 2006. We are now looking forward to Marissa having a sibling and hope that you choose us. We both come from close, supportive Christian families and were raised in loving homes where we were taught many of the same values—God’s love, love of family and friends, loyalty and honesty. We hope to one day share these same values with our child.

We are very active people who enjoy life to its fullest. We enjoy traveling and have visited many beautiful and interesting places both inside and outside of the country. We enjoy exposing Marissa to many new experiences. We look forward to doing the same with another child. We will strive to be encouragers and supporters of our child’s choices and give them love and guidance needed to grow into a responsible individual.

We are active and involved parents, devoted to providing the stability and self assurance that is needed to have a life that is filled with joy, happiness and love.

Tilmon Through Denise’s Eyes

Tilmon is a very loving and devoted husband. There is not a day that passes that I am not aware of his love for me and his commitment to our marriage. He is my Best Friend. He has the most patient and caring personality of anyone that I have ever met. He teaches me everyday to “not sweat the small stuff.” He is my confidant and is a wonderful father.

Tilmon has a good job with a major consulting company. He has been with them for 18 years and is at a very stable place with the company. Tilmon likes recreational activities like bike riding, swimming and running. As a father, Tilmon is great at helping Marissa with her homework and is involved with her activities.

Denise Through Tilmon’s Eyes

The first thing that you notice about Denise is that she is very enthusiastic and friendly. Denise treats everyone with the same enthusiastic and warm smile that is infectious to all around her. Denise is a loving and compassionate person and my best friend and partner in life. She has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh with everyone including strangers.

Denise worked in radio for about ten years, however about four years ago she decided that she wanted a more flexible environment in which to raise a child. We decided to go into business for ourselves and are now involved in a private children’s party facility. This allows Denise to help several children celebrate very important days in their lives and make sure that they have a great time. Denise greets each child with a smile and with a loving and enthusiastic “Happy Birthday!” Being a business owner, Denise has the flexibility to spend more time with Marissa, which is what she really enjoys.

As a mother, Denise enjoys participating with Marissa in various classes, planning activities such as arts and craft projects, trips to local museums, church events, and reading bedtime stories. She has so much love to give, she looks forward to the day that she can share it with another child.

Our Home and Family We live in a comfortable suburban neighborhood outside of Washington DC. Our home has four bedrooms which will allow us to expand our family once the time has arrived. We have a nice yard and plenty of recreational activities nearby including a Toddler lot, soccer field, baseball field and basketball court. There are several children in the neighborhood and everyone is very friendly.

Although, we do not live near our immediate family, being with family is very important to us and we make it a point to plan visits with them throughout the year. During most holidays, we plan trips to see them and we also plan visits around special events such as graduations, retirements and accomplishments. Our family is anxiously awaiting our new addition so that they can be grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We also have cousins and close friends that do live near us and they have young children of their own.
