We're Adopting a Girl.

The Road Leading Us To You First of all, we want to thank you so much for looking at our profile and considering us in this difficult decision. We are praying for you and the decisions that you are making. Although things may be hard right now, please know that you are very brave and that God has the perfect family picked out for your child. We hope that family is us. We want to use this letter to make sure you know as much about us as possible so you will feel comfortable in knowing who your child’s family might be.

Our names are Graden and Sabrina and we have been happily married for four years. We have always known that we wanted to be parents, but after our son, Josiah, was born with a genetic disorder that would soon contribute to his passing away, we realized that our dream would not happen the way we had planned. After prayer, we both felt like God wanted us to be parents, but through adoption instead. This is how our son, Silas, came into our lives. The road that led us here was hard, but each moment was a stepping stone to lead us to Silas and hopefully to you. We adopted Silas, and he is perfect! The only thing that is missing is a little brother or sister to play with. To this day, we have a great relationship with Silas' birthmother, and we believe that God has us another miracle out there somewhere.

God has been so good to us already. Silas even gets told that he looks just like his daddy all the time! God definitely knew what He was doing when He put our family together. Now we are praying that He will bless us again so that we can give a home to another little one and make our family complete.
A Little About Us Now we would like to tell you about our lives. Graden is a Computer Programmer for an insurance company. He also teaches Sunday school, plays the bass guitar, sings in the choir, and just graduated from the seminary with his master's degree in divinity. He likes to play golf, baseball, and all kinds of games. He has a huge extended family that we are both very close to. We love to have family get-togethers with them and they live close by. Sabrina is a 2nd Grade teacher at a local elementary school. She plays the piano, sings on the church praise team, and takes pictures in her spare time for fun. She also has a close family that we see on a regular basis and that live within minutes from us. We are also both Youth Ministers at our church. We teach on Wednesdays, plan lots of fun outings, and create many ministry opportunities for our youth.

Our family is so much fun. We celebrate everything in a big way. Santa still visits us every year. At Easter, we still find a trail of eggs leading to our Easter basket. We have huge meals at Thanksgiving, for birthdays, or just for summer get-togethers at our aunt's house. She has a huge pool, a tennis court, and a pond for fishing. We all love to hang out there. Our families are so close and we truly love spending time with each other.

We are blessed because Sabrina has summers off to spend with Silas. While she works, her mother keeps him. We always know that he is well taken care of. Nana can't wait to keep his little brother or sister too.
A Reason to Smile There was a time when we honestly did not think that we would ever smile again. However, God blessed us with little Silas, and we can't help but smile every time he looks at us with those big blue eyes. There have been many people to comment on us saying that they did not believe that we had quit smiling since he got here. And guess what? They are right. Silas is more than we ever could have imagined, and we absolutely LOVE being parents!

He loves reading/chewing his little books, splashing in the bathtub, and playing with his stuffed monkey. Silas loves to take walks in our neighborhood. He just loves being outside, and we have a park just down the road where we can't wait to take him to play. He doesn't say real words yet, but he will talk your ear off at times. His little cousins absolutely love him! He has been the talk of our town ever since he stepped onto the scene. We created a blog for him when he was born, and if we go so much as a week without updating it, we start getting phone calls. He is so loved, and we know that we are so blessed. Silas is going to make a great big brother!
Dreams Really Do Come True While you are dreaming of the perfect home for your child, please know that we share those dreams. Know that if you choose us, your child will recieve more hugs, and kisses than ever thought possible. They will never have to wonder what it feels like to be loved. We pray that you will find comfort during this time of decision and we pray for God’s guidance to help you find the perfect parents for your baby. We hope those parents are us! Thank you for helping us make our dreams come true.
