Bo & Monica are hopeful adoptive parents from Alabama waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello!
We are Bo and Monica and we are excited at the opportunity to share our lives and ourselves with you through this profile. We cannot begin to imagine how difficult taking this path might be for you, and we can only hope that our profile might provide some encouragement and hope as you make this journey.
We have both been touched by adoption throughout our lives and know how much love and joy it can bring. We are excited and honored to be considered as parents and thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
Our story began in high school, where we met and became friends. Throughout the years, our friendship grew and we finally realized we were perfect for each other. Our family and friends thought it was never going to happen, but in 2003 we finally decided to take the next big step - we got married. We have a happy and affectionate marriage built on a foundation of honesty, trust, compassion and caring. We love to spend time together but also respect each other’s need for independence. We are both close to our families and believe that family values are the key to any successful relationship.
Monica and Bo
Bo grew up close to his family and the oldest of two boys. He has his mother's fun and energetic personality and his father's intelligence and wit. Bo is very much a kid at heart and his energy and enthusiasm are contagious.
I have watched Bo spend endless hours with our niece and two nephews. Riding bikes, hanging out at baseball games, or baking cookies are all part of the fun. Simply put...he just loves being with them no matter what the activity. What more could you ask for from a man that looks forward to being such a wonderful Dad?
Bo is a gifted computer programmer. He started his own software company two years ago and has already built a successful business. From the latest gadgets to a new piece of software, he is constantly learning and teaching new technology.
Bo is a loving and dedicated husband... and my best friend. He inspires me to be the best that I can and I know that as a Dad he will do the same. I am thankful each and every day that he is part of my life.
Bo about Monica:
Monica and I met in high school and quickly became good friends. From then on Monica's friendship was a constant in my life. It took me years to finally wise up and realize I had fallen in love somewhere along the way. I'm thankful each and every day that the woman I married is also my best friend.
She loves numbers and is a financial leader at a service company near our home. Monica is a great teacher and somehow makes accounting so much fun, people from all over the company try to find excuses to join her team.
I have to say that Monica is one of the most caring and patient people I know. But most important -- to me at least -- she's a great listener. For these reasons and many more -- too many to name here -- I know she will be an excellent Mother.
About Us
For Fun:
We both enjoy traveling and will use any three-day weekend as an excuse to pack our bags and head out on an adventure. In the warmer months we migrate to the beach to enjoy sun, surf and sand... and all that fried seafood isn’t bad either. When the weather turns cool, the mountains start calling our names. There may not be any tall peaks to climb, but the nearby foothills provide a great place to hike and relax in a secluded cabin.
We deliberately choose to spend most of our weekends outdoors. Why waste a sunny day? Since Bo is such an avid cyclist, we spend many afternoons trail riding in our local state park. And when the sun starts sinking behind the trees, we can look forward to a backyard grill party filled with our friends and family.
Our Home:
In 2006, we began our search for our dream home. There were a few “must haves” on the list: a location close enough to visit our parents, a house large enough to raise a family, a small neighborhood where we could get to know our neighbors and a place where our kids would have plenty of room to run. Mission accomplished! We recently purchased our 4 bedroom home in a close-knit neighborhood FULL of children.
Our Family:
Bo is the oldest of two boys that are incredibly close to their family. His Dad and stepmom live on a beautiful horse farm where everyone gathers and spends time together riding horses. Bo’s Mom recently retired from teaching school and moved just a couple of hours from the coast. Everyone in his family has been very involved in our adoption process and are extremely excited about us bringing their first grandchild into the family (Bo’s brother is pretty excited about a niece or nephew too).
Bo’s Mom has been instrumental in the adoption process for us. She was a birthmother at Gladney many years ago and has helped us to understand the difficult and heart felt decision that all birthmothers make in this important journey.
Monica has grown up in an extended family... some might think it unusual, but they all consider themselves lucky to have each other. Both of her parents have been remarried for many years but remain close to one another. Christmas and birthdays are attended by both families and are usually big events full of old stories, laughter and food.
Monica has one younger sister that visits quite often. Her sister and brother-in-law have a sweet and loving two year old daughter and two sons - a witty and fun three year old and an energetic nine year old. Visits are full of energy and life and are usually followed by a couple of days of rest!
Monica’s family has also been very influential and supportive in our decision to adopt. Monica’s Dad was adopted by his teacher when he was just a young child. Since Monica grew up so close to her grandparents, there is no denying the love and joy that her Dad’s adoption brought to her life.
Our Pets:
We’re true animal lovers and have the pleasure of currently sharing our home with eight-year-old Crusoe, a lovable Golden Retreiver, and Katie, a seven-year-old Lab we rescued from a life on the street. Both are calm and loving and adore children of all ages. Finally, we have to give credit to our cat, Pepper, who runs the entire household. When no one is looking though, you will find her happily curled up right next to Crusoe and Katie.
Thank You!
Well...that's Bo and Monica in a nutshell. We hope we've succeeded in showing you that we're just two ordinary people fortunate enough to have found the one other person in the world that makes us feel extraordinary. We should be happy with what we have, and we are. But, more than anything, we both long to be parents. And now we are waiting patiently--and sometimes not so patiently-- for a child to find us. We know that decision isn't for us to make. Just know that in our home, a child will always be safe...will always be special... and will always, ALWAYS be loved.
Regardless of your ultimate decision, we wish you the very best and thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
