Micah & Tracy are hopeful adoptive parents from Maine waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Maine, The Way Life Should Be!
Dear Birth Parent,
Our names are Tracy and Micah and we are incredibly grateful you are considering adoption! It takes a lot of courage and strength to make this decision and we hope that you are getting all the support you deserve. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us.
We have many things to offer a child. We own a house in the country where there is a small fruit orchard, beautiful hay fields, and land to explore. We spend a lot of time outdoors camping, swimming, and fishing. Your baby will have grandparents and aunts and uncles to love them, not to mention many cousins to play with! We also have lots of friends with children and we love to get together for barbecues at the family camp.
We know you want what is best for your baby. We will give him or her all the love we have in our hearts and promise to do our best to raise them happy and healthy.
Love, Tracy and Micah

Life
Our Home
We own a house in the country in Maine and like to spend a lot of time outdoors. In the summer we have a big vegetable garden and raise chickens. We have a small orchard that grows the most unbelievably delicious fruit! Our road is very quiet which makes it perfect for taking long walks. Every season is beautiful here. In the summer we barbecue on the deck and in the winter we snuggle by the fire.
We Love Being Outdoors
Your baby will grow up with lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. One of our most favorite things to do is to go camping. We love cooking on a campfire, making “smoreos” (instead of graham crackers to make smores, we use oreos!), and sleeping in our big tent. We can’t wait to have a child to share in all our fun!
Micah’s parents also have a camp on a lake and we love sleeping in the loft, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Micah spent all his summers at camp growing up and has many wonderful memories playing and swimming with the neighborhood children.
In the winter, there is ice-fishing just a few miles down the road, and we can snowshoe and cross-country ski right from the front door!
Once we went to northern Maine to a camp on a lake in the winter. Our friends brought their two children, and we spent the weekend ice-fishing and staying warm in a cozy camp. It was so exciting! We love going on all sorts of adventures.
Family
We have a large extended family that lives nearby. We visit with them often, so your baby will have grandparents and aunts and uncles to love them, not to mention many cousins to play with!
Tracy has one brother, a sister-in-law, and a niece and nephew. Tracy's mother has one brother and four sisters, and they all have children, so that side of the family is very large. Everyone gets together at Christmas. It is a very comical scene when everyone is opening gifts and trying to talk over each other!
Micah’s parents live in the same town as Tracy’s family. Micah has one sister who is engaged. Micah also has an extended family, who are not biologically related, but whom Micah’s family grew up with. They own the camp next door to Micah’s parent’s camp. We love spending time with them also, as all the “kids” are our age and are now all having children of their own. We feel extremely fortunate to have both our families so close by.
We also have many friends with children and love spending time with them. In the summer we love getting together to swim and barbecue at the family camp.
Family Pets
Having family pets is also important to us. They are so much fun and the love and companionship they provide truly adds to a family. Since we have been together, we have had two dogs. Sadly they passed away last summer and we miss them very much. However, our newest addition is a scruffy puppy named Esther. She loves to both play and snuggle. We also have a small black cat named Nema. She grew up with two big dogs, and thinks she is a dog!
A Little About Us
We first met in high school, but didn't get to really know each other until we met again the year Tracy graduated from college. Our first date was in 1997 and we have been in love ever since. When we were ready to get married, so many of our friends were having traditional weddings. We decided to do something a little different. We were married in a tropical garden in the Caribbean, surrounded by colorful flowers, dark green foliage, and the bright blue ocean. It was very romantic!
Our Careers
Micah has owned his own floor covering business for sixteen years. Because he is self-employed, he can make his own schedule. When we have a child of our own, Micah will stay at home with the baby. On days that he schedules work, my cousin is a wonderful stay at home mom and will take care of the baby.
Tracy has been working for State government for ten years. She cleans up the environment by hiring special contractors to clean up polluted land. She loves her job because it makes her feel that she is doing her part to make the environment a clean and healthy place to live. She also has very good health benefits and a flexible work schedule that will allow her to leave for appointments and visit the pediatrician.
The next two paragraphs were each written by and about each other to help you see what kind of people we are:
About Micah by Tracy
Micah is going to make a wonderful father. He loves all his friend’s children and loves to play silly games with them. All kids warm up to him so quickly. He loves to do so many things. He bakes awesome chocolate chip cookies and carves a pretty scary jack-o-lantern (which he usually grows himself)! He loves tradition, and looks forward to cutting down our Christmas Tree and decorating it every year. Micah has a gift for growing vegetables and I know he can’t wait to teach a child to grow things. He also has an old car that he likes to fix up in his spare time. He is very mechanical and can fix almost anything. He also plays guitar and loves to hunt and fish.
I know he will be a good father. He is very passionate, sensitive, gentle, and funny. Once when I had a broken foot, he took care of the house and me for weeks without a single complaint. He is also very helpful around the house when I’m busy at work, and even cooks dinner. Yet at the same time, he is very manly and loves anything that runs on a motor!
About Tracy by Micah
Tracy is a very active person. Eating healthy and exercising are very important to her. Tracy likes to take dance and archery lessons with her friends, snowshoe and cross country ski in the winter, and swim and ride her bike during the warmer months. She also loves to knit and has made many things for our friend’s children. She is very adventurous and loves to try new things.
Tracy is also a very dedicated and hardworking woman. She cares for the world we live in. A healthy environment for future generations has been a very big part of her education and her career.
The other side of Tracy is a girl who just enjoys sitting at the beach with a good book, going to the movies, or shopping with her family or friends. I know Tracy will make an excellent mother. Motherhood has been number one on Tracy’s priority list from day one. Seeing her interact with all the children of our family and friends with love and compassion shows me that.
We'd love to hear from you!
If you choose us to be parents of your child, we would be happy to have either an open or closed adoption. We would be willing to exchange letters and photos, or if you prefer confidentiality, you can make arrangements through our attorney.
