If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Friend, Thank you for taking the time to read about us. We'd love to learn more about you and your wishes for your child. We hope that this introduction will give you a feel for who we are as a family.

Our personal experience with adoption has given us some sense of what an emotional time this is for you. We pray that you find comfort and peace in your decision and we are honored that you would consider us.

With Love and Respect,
Tommy and Anne

About Us Love~Joy~Faith~Family~Laughter
These things have always been the center of our lives. Even more so with the adoption of our daughter Emilia in 2010. We are excited to grow our family through adoption, and can't wait to share our lives with another little one.

Anne
Anne is a stay at home mom who was made for the job. She eagerly embraces being Emilia's first teacher and playmate. Skipping through the grocery store, singing silly songs, getting messy with finger paints... just another fun filled day for Emilia and Anne.

Anne likes to cook and these days she has a busy little helper. Emilia will pull a chair up and get right in on the pouring and mixing. Spills and messes are part of the fun for this mommy. Anne also enjoys photography as a hobby and you can guess her favorite and most frequent subject. Whether cooking, diapering her baby doll or pretending to take pictures, Emilia loves to be just like mommy.

Tommy
To know what a fantastic dad Tommy is, all you have to do is listen to Emilia’s excitement when he comes home from work. At the sound of the garage door, she stops what she’s doing and rushes to the door yelling “DaDa! DaDa!” He is a hands-on dad who will get down on the floor to play spaceship, or play Ring Around the Rosie until he's dizzy. He teaches her all the essentials in life like how to blow a bubble and how to build the perfect mound of pillows for jumping off the couch.
And Anne isn't the only one Emilia likes to mimic. Emilia loves to "help" Daddy with everything. She is his little shadow as he takes care of the yard, or feeds the dog. She even insists on helping him take out the trash.

Tommy owns a successful construction company with his siblings. He works hard and we take comfort in his ability to provide for our family. He also plays hard and especially enjoys playing softball in a weekend league.

Emilia
Emilia is so full of energy! We start our day to the sound of "Mommmmmy! Dadddddy! I all done sleeping!" Once we step into her room, she likes to fill us in on how she slept or what she has planned for the day. It is such a great way to start our day! Watching her little personality emerge has been so much fun. We of course think she is the smartest, sweetest, most beautiful child ever...we might be biased but we're sticking to our story.

Emilia likes all things art - crayons, markers, paints. The messier the better! And these days she really seems to like water colors, whether with a brush or her fingers. She also adores babies and loves to act like a little mommy. It's so cute to see her squat down and talk to a baby in her little mommy voice. She will make a great big sister. We love the idea of her growing up and sharing good times with a brother or sister.
Our Families and Our Home We are part of a very large family. Tommy is the oldest of 3 children and Anne is the 11th of 14. As you can imagine, we have lots of nieces and nephews and our family means the world to us. Anne’s family lives back East and we are lucky enough to visit often. Our favorite visit is the yearly family reunion on the North Carolina beaches. We are fortunate to have Tommy’s family living nearby. Tommy works with them and we love to get together on weekends for a cook out. Having them close means our holidays are full of family and fun!

When we first told our family and friends of our desire to adopt we were overwhelmed by their love and support. Emilia is a blessing not only to us, but to all of them as well. Everyone is so excited to welcome a second child into our family.

We live just outside of Fort Worth, Texas in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of kids. We had children in mind when we chose our 4 bedroom home. There is a large back yard for running and playing and a great playroom full of toys. We have a cat named Mc, and a sweet dog named Bruno (a lab/border collie mix). Bruno and Emilia have loads of fun together and he is very gentle with her…even lately when she plays dress up with him.
Blessings Adoption
Our lives are so full through the grace of God and the incredible gift of adoption. The challenges of being unable to have children are all but erased. Today our hearts are full of love for our daughter and for her first mother, who made such a difficult and loving choice to place her child with us. We enjoy sharing emails, pictures, and videos with Emilia's first mom. We also get together once a year for a visit.

Our adoption journey has taught us that each woman facing this difficult decision is unique and faces unique challenges. This makes every adoption unique. We will listen openly, and without judgement to your unique situation and to your hopes for your child. We will be honest about ourselves, and our ability to meet your needs in adoption. You have our highest respect.

Our Hopes for You
Our wish and prayer is that you are at peace in your decision, and that you find comfort knowing that your child will be raised in a loving and supportive home with wonderful parents and a great big sister. With us, your child will always know that your decision is a decision made in love.

We look forward to learning more about you and are happy to answer any questions you may have. We hope to speak with you soon.

Wishing you many blessings,
Tommy and Anne
