Ernie & Sarah are hopeful adoptive parents from Illinois waiting to adopt a baby.

Dear Birthmother Thank you for considering the option of adoption and giving us the chance to tell you about ourselves and why we believe adoption is the right choice for us. We have decided to adopt for many reasons. First of all, we have been trying to get pregnant for over three years. We went to numerous doctors and ran through many tests, but they were unable to determine why we were unable to get pregnant. Having children is the last piece of the puzzle for us. We really enjoy all aspects of our life, but there is something obviously missing. Adoption was something we had always talked about, and now are thrilled to actually be given the chance to go through the process.

Adoption, we feel, is a great way to start our family. We are truly blessed to be given this opportunity. There will obviously be bumps in the road along the way, but we cannot wait to work on everything together. We plan on raising our children in a very warm and nurturing environment, where we encourage them to get involved in all sorts of activities, as well as instilling the importance of education . We do plan on sharing the adoption information with the child when he or she is of an appropriate age. We do not plan on keeping anything a secret regarding their journey into our life.

We both enjoy the simpler things and life and try to remember not to take life too seriously or for granted. Ernie really enjoys spending time outside, and exercising has always been important to him. He enjoys going for walks and riding his bike. Ernie also likes to read and listen to music. Kicking back and watching movies is one of Sarah's favorite pastimes. Sarah also loves to read and go for walks.

We have been very blessed with a loving marriage. It is a wonderful feeling to come home to each other after work. We view life as an adventure and really enjoy spending time together walking, watching movies, and watching baseball. We feel like we truly compliment one another and bring out the best in each other.

Our Home Sweet home We have recently moved into a larger, more family friendly home in a great town in Northwestern Illinois in anticipation of our growing family. We spent a lot of time choosing one that would fit our every need. Both of us fell in love with this home and feel like it would be a place a child could be safe and happy. Even though it is just the two of us now, we cannot wait to build our family here. We envision many happy holidays and new experiences here. We live in a quiet subdivision with several families with children. We are also live within minutes of several parks if the jungle gym in our own backyard is not exciting enough.

Our families Ernie's family

Ernie comes from a large family of six. He is the second oldest of four children. Family has always been important to his upbringing. His family would do many activities together, such as the yearly family camping trip. Education has always been ingrained in Ernie's upbringing. In fact he has a brother, sister, and brother-in-law who are either teacher's or principals, so our children will know that learning is important and fun. His oldest sister recently blessed the family with our first niece, and is she ever ready for a cousin!

Sarah's family

Sarah comes from a very close family of five. She has remained best friends with her sister since childhood. Whenever possible, Sarah loves to sit and visit with her family. They have a great time together and can imagine life no other way. Being the oldest child, she has learned great patience and leadership. Every other person in Sarah's family works in the social services field, so they are very supportive of making a child's life very fulfilled.

About Each Other Sarah on Ernie

Ernie is probably the most well rounded person I know. He is extremely hard-working at his job and around the house. He inspires me everyday to be the best person that I can possibly be. He also believes that life is a great gift and enjoys every aspect to the fullest extent. During his time as an elementary school teacher, I realized first hand how great he is with children. Kids just flock to him because he knows all the games and he treats them like equals. I don't know anyone who could possibly make a better Dad.

Sarah is always thinking of others. Not a day goes by that Sarah is not helping someone out with a problem or is concerned with someone's well-being. She makes me open my mind to new adventures and ways of thinking. Sarah has a knack for the details in life that are often overlooked. She works very diligently at work and at home. She talks daily about what having a family would mean to us. I know she believes that having a child is the missing link in her life. With all her hard work she puts forth in life, Sarah certainly would make a wonderful mother.
