If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Our Story
Dear Birth family:
Hi! We are Jennifer, Tony and Anthony from New Jersey. We’re a fun, loving, active family ready to welcome our second adopted child. We realize it’s difficult to get to know us through a letter and pictures, but we hope our profile gives you an idea of who we are and what we enjoy as a family.
In May 2005, we had the wonderful opportunity to adopt our first child, Anthony. This was an amazing experience for us. Being at the hospital and holding him an hour after his birth is a moment we will never forget. His birth family made a difficult time for them a joyous experience for us. We deeply admire Anthony’s birth family. They will always hold a special place in our hearts. We happily share emails, letters and photos with them. They are grateful to us for giving them updates and for allowing them to watch Anthony grow up. We hope to build a similar relationship with the birth family of our second child, if they so desire.
When Tony and I met there was an immediate attraction. I told my mother after our first date that Tony was “the one” for me. Our relationship quickly progressed. We shared the same family values, morals and goals due to our similar upbringing. We knew we belonged together and were married two years later.
Tony and Jennifer Talk About Each Other
Jennifer is an identical twin and shares a very special bond with her sister. (When I first met her sister, Janice, I didn’t think I was going to be able to tell them apart!) They especially enjoy raising their children together and seeing the close relationship that they share. She is also close with her older brother and sister. Jennifer is a warm, caring, honest person with a sense of humor. She takes pride in keeping a nice home, working hard and being well organized.
Jennifer loved her job as an elementary teacher. She was “the teacher” that all of the children wanted to have for 2nd grade. She had a great reputation for being dedicated to her profession. She always showed a tremendous amount of love, warmth and encouragement to the little ones that were in her classroom. When Anthony was born she was thrilled to start her new career…full-time mom! There’s no place she’d rather be than at home with Anthony. When I come home from work Anthony is so excited to tell me about all of the fun things he did during the day with Mommy. If they painted a picture or practiced writing his name, it's proudly displayed on the refrigerator. If Anthony spent the day playing with his cousins, riding bikes or swimming in our pool, I hear every detail. She is a great mommy. She’s patient, loving and a devoted mother and wife.
Tony is the youngest of three children and enjoys a warm relationship with his older brother and sister. He is an honest, loving, intelligent and respected person. Family and friends often go to Tony for advice on just about anything. His balanced, confident, laid back personality allows him to handle many situations. His entrepreneurial drive has enabled him to become a partner in a brokerage firm.
He is “my rock.” I know I can depend on him for anything. If things are crazy, Tony calms things down. He’s always there to listen or lend a helping hand. Tony is the kind of person who always makes things better just by being there. He has a huge amount of love to give and he and Anthony are “best buddies!” I often find them doing puzzles, reading books or playing “tackle.” Tony beams when he sees Anthony walking around in his shoes. He is a very nurturing father who showers Anthony with love. I am so blessed to have him as my husband and father of our child.
Anthony and Our Family
Anthony is a happy, energetic 4-year-old. His huge smile and cheerful, outgoing personality brings a smile to everyone he meets. He has a magical way of wiggling his way into everyone’s heart. He enjoys going to preschool and making new friends. When we take him to swim lessons he can’t wait to jump in and start swimming. Anthony enjoys going to the park, playing outdoors and riding bikes with Mommy and Daddy. Anthony lights up when he sees a baby. The first thing he wants to do is touch the baby and find out their name. He often pretends he has a sibling. Anthony is eager to be a big brother and would be a great playmate!
We feel very fortunate that we live within ten miles of our family. We have a large family with 9 nieces and nephews ranging from 3 to 17 years of age. Our family gets together often and the children all enjoy playing with each other. Our weekends are spent with them enjoying Sunday dinner, barbecues, going out to eat or visiting for cake and coffee.
We are a sincere, nurturing couple that cherishes the strong bond in our marriage. Our time together is special no matter what we are doing. Whether we’re playing in the yard with Anthony, or dressing up for a special occasion, we are happy to be together as a family.
Skiing and skating are favorite wintertime activities. We especially look forward to our annual ski vacation in Utah with family and friends. Anthony especially enjoyed his most recent trip because he got on skis for the first time! Figure skating is another passion of Jennifer’s while Tony enjoys playing hockey. He can’t wait to lace up our children’s skates and teach them the basics. During the summer months, our leisure time is spent swimming, having family barbecues and traveling. Our summer vacation usually takes us to a beach resort for “fun in the sun.” Jennifer is anxious to teach our children how to swim and dig for sand dollars.
Our Promise
We commend your decision to carry and nurture this baby. We realize that you have a selfless decision to make at this difficult time in your life. We know from prior experience the challenges you will face in carrying out your adoption plan.
Our experience with Anthony’s adoption has shown us that we will never be able to fully comprehend what you are going through. Our hearts go out to you. It is our hope, that if we are given the privilege to adopt your baby, that you will find comfort knowing that your child will be well taken care of. We assure you that your baby will be provided with a loving, happy, fun-filled home. A close-knit family, love and respect for others and Christian values are principles that we will emphasize. A college education will also be encouraged. We will nurture, guide and provide for your child throughout their lifetime. Honesty, communication and love will surround your baby.
Whomever you choose to parent your baby, we respect your decision to choose life for them. May God give you strength and courage to help you with your decision in the tough months ahead.
Wishing you the best,
Jennifer, Tony and Anthony
