Lewis & Kimberly are hopeful adoptive parents from Florida waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

The Internet Family Dear Parent(s),

First, we would like you to know that we have the utmost respect for you. We recognize that in considering adoption for your child that it is most likely out of the great love and concern that you have for your child. You should know that we too only want what is best for your child, and that if selected as the family for your child, then we would show that same great love and concern for your child each and every day. We both feel that love is the greatest gift from God, and we are offering your child what we feel is our greatest gift, which is our love.

Our names are Kim and Lewis. We have been married for seven years, but people tell us we still behave like newlyweds. We are sure this is because of the great love that we have for each other. We know that we were meant for each other, even though we were 1000 miles apart when we first met. Kim was living in New Jersey at the time, and Lewis was living here in Florida. We feel that God found a way to bring us together through the Internet. Then God used the Internet to help us expand our family to include our precious son, John, two and a half years ago. Now we like to joke that we are the Internet family. It was only in His infinite wisdom that we were able to become the loving family that we are today. We have faith that through this same wisdom God will inspire you as to which family is right for your child.
Adoption is About Love Now that you know a little bit about how we met, we are sure that you would be interested in knowing more about our immediate family and marriage relationship. We are currently a very happy and loving family of three. About four years ago we decided that we wanted to extend our family or circle of love. Once we made this decision, we were then disappointed to find out that it would be very dangerous for Kim to get pregnant, both to her and a possible child. However, through sincere prayer, we came to realize that our family was not destined to grow by traditional means. Then we became very happy and excited about the opportunity to adopt a child to extend our family. Back then, we both felt strongly that we could love an adopted child as if our own biological child. After a wonderful series of events through Parent Profiles, we adopted John. Then all doubt was removed. Our love for John knows no bounds. People can always tell how much we love each other by our words and actions towards each other. Please know if you choose us as the family to place your child with, then everyone would know how much we love that child, especially your child.
Our Family Lewis is a very kind, motivated, hard working, and loving man. He is one of five children from a very loving family. He grew up in Orlando, FL until four years old, and then he spent seven years in Utah. At eleven years old, the family moved back to Orlando where he stayed until he moved to Gainesville, FL to finish up his Business Degree at the University of Florida. His family was very close knit. Childhood memories include many activities with dad and the rest of the family, like camping, fishing, hunting, sports (dad was a soccer coach), water-skiing, motorcycle riding, as well as many other fun filled days spent with family. After Lewis graduated from college, he has become very successful in the business field with his education and God given gift of intelligence. However, his love and loyalty still remain with his family.

Kim is a very loving, caring, sensitive, insightful, and easygoing woman, who grew up in New Jersey as one of three children in a very loving family. Some happy childhood memories include martial arts training as a family. She excelled in schoolwork, and her natural caring and sensitive personality steered her towards an education and career in nursing. She eventually decided on a career in social work, which also fit well with her unique set of natural abilities. She realized this goal when she graduated from Georgian Court College with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. After graduating, Kim became a Certified Social Worker, and she became very successful in her career. One of her jobs included working with children and families in the Head Start Program. Through all of her experiences one thing remained constant, and this her ability to connect with the children. She is very sensitive to the needs of a child, and all children just seem to love her. We know that all these experiences prepared her to become the great mother that she is today.

John is a gift from God. His name means ‘God is gracious, merciful’. We feel that God was most gracious and merciful when He sent John to be part of our family through the miracle of adoption, and that is why we named him John. John is now almost 2 ½ years old, and he is a very smart, loving, kind, affectionate, and playful boy. He loves to play with other children, and we know that he would love to have a little brother or sister to be able to play with all the time.

Our extended families on both sides have been very loving to John, and they have accepted him truly as part of the family. So please know that any child we adopt will have a very loving and supporting extended family as well. We live very close to Lewis’ side of the family, and there are many family gatherings with nieces and nephews to play with. All of our extended family members are just as excited as we are this time around at the wonderful possibility of welcoming another precious child into our family.
The Love of God We also want you to know that in addition to providing for your child’s physical and emotional support, we will also pay keen attention to your child’s spiritual needs and development. We believe that a family who prays together stays together. We also believe that reading scriptures together as a family brings great strength to our family. These have become good habits that we practice in our home. We also enjoy a weekly family night. During our family activities night we know that your child will come to know that God loves them, and your child will come to know the Savior.

There are some attached pictures that we hope will give you a better feel as to what to expect if your child was to become a member of our family. As mentioned before, the most important thing to us is the best thing for your child. So if you feel that may include your child becoming a member of our loving family, then we would love to meet you in person so that you can make your decision. Whatever your decision, please know that we will be praying for you and your child. It is our hope that God blesses you with peace and inspiration.

With Love,
Our Family
