Hello, We are Darrell and Corie and we are so thrilled that you are checking out our profile. It is impossible for us to imagine what you are going through at this time in your life. What we do know is this - you must be a very strong, courageous, and loving person to make the decision of adoption. You are taking the time to find the best possible people and environment to raise your child in and no other word describes that better than - LOVE.
Love is such an important thing and we are lucky to have a home that is filled with it. That is why every day we make sure to tell each other "I love you" whether it is when we leave for work in the morning, a phone call during the day, or before we go to sleep. We have an abundance of love and we hope to one day be able to share this love with a child. You have our promise that your child will be loved beyond measure in our home. They will grow up not only with our love but also with yours, knowing that their mother put them first above all else. What a truly blessed child this will be.
We hope that as you look over the following profile you will get an idea of who we are as individuals, who we are as a couple, and who we will be as parents.

Darrell & Corie as a Couple Think of your best friend - someone you share everything with, someone you laugh hysterically with, someone you turn too when you need a shoulder to lean on, someone you want to share all of your life's experiences with - that is what we are...best friends.

We met over eight years ago in the most unlikely place, the dance floor, and we've never left each other's side. We dated for 4 1/2 years before we were engaged. Then in September of 2005 we were married in front of our family and friends and began our lives as husband and wife. Over the years we have grown closer and closer. We base our relationship with our faith, love, communication, and support. We always tell ourselves that, "Together there is nothing that we can't accomplish." We believe this to be true for our marriage and for our future family. With love, support, and communication we have been able to achieve many of our dreams like completing our college education, building our dream home, and having a happy marriage. We plan on carrying this idea on with our family by being loving and supportive parents to our child's dreams and by giving our child the tools they will need to be successful in their lives.

Our home is full of laughter - singing for no reason, dancing down the hallways, or even doing impressions. We often joke and say that we should have our own reality TV show because people would not believe how silly we are. We love to watch movies or invite friends over for bar-b-ques and board games. Outside of our home you may find us at the bowling alley trying to get a strike or hanging out at the lake. We also love animals and share our home with Tyson, our dog that we have had for seven years. Tyson is a very active sweet dog that loves to cuddle and sleep under his blanket. We love to travel and see new places. Going on cruises is our favorite thing to do because you get to see so many new places in one trip. We have traveled to Cozumel, Belize, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands to name a few places. We love to explore new places and hope to share this joy as a family very soon.

Darrell by Corie I am blessed beyond measure to have Darrell as my husband and best friend. He is such a positive influence in my life. Darrell grew up in a very small town on a farm. He has a very large family with three sisters and four brothers. Darrell has always loved working outdoors with his hands and he currently is a crew leader for a city water department.

Darrell is the funniest person I have met. He loves to make people laugh. He also loves to meet new people and can strike up a conversation with anyone. He is a sports nut especially with football, basketball, and track and field. The outdoors and the water are Darrell's favorite places to be. As soon as the weather warms he is grabbing his fishing pole and heading to the lake. Darrell is also the KING of the BBQ. He even catered our own wedding and everyone loved it. Darrell is very supportive and has always encouraged me to strive for the top.

All of the qualities that Darrell possesses show me that he will be the most amazing father there ever was. He will be a very supportive father that gets up in the middle of the night when needed and attends all of our child's activities to cheer them on. Darrell longs for the day when he can play with our child outside, teach him or her to ride a bike or learn how to swim.

Corie by Darrell
I would love to tell you about my amazing wife, Corie. Corie grew up in a very small town and has one sister and three brothers. She always loved school and has a Bachelor's degree in Business. She works for a school district in human resources. Corie is a little shy but once you get to know her she is the best friend you could ever have. She is truly funny in her own way and does a great impression of a pigeon. She is very sentimental and caring. She always shows a deep concern for our family and friends. One of Corie's favorite things to do is go dancing and she is pretty good at it. She would tell me stories of how her and her mom would move the furniture back and dance in their living room when she was a child. Another hobby of Corie's is photography and I'm sure she will take tons and tons of pictures of our family. Corie also is a pretty good cook and lasagna is her specialty. Corie is a planner and always analyzes situations to see what the best route to take is. She will always see things to the end of whatever she starts.

Corie always puts the welfare of others first and I think that will make her a great mother. Corie will be caring, loving, and sensitive to our child's needs and wants. She is a great listener and a good role model for our child to grow up and respect. I think that Corie has the potential for being our child's hero in their life. She has always been a positive person in my life and that is one of the things that I love the most about her. She longs for the day to go shopping and pick out outfits for our child, perhaps even matching outfits for the family.

Our Home Our home has three bedrooms, two baths, an office, and a large open kitchen/dinning/living room (where everyone hangs out). We live in a wonderful new community that is very peaceful and quite. Our community is also very diverse with many different cultures and age groups. We have several parks nearby where children can play, a lake a few miles away where Darrell does most of his fishing and several public and private schools within a few miles.

Our Family
Family is very important to us and we do our best to keep our family close. Together we have a very large family. Fortunately they all blend together perfectly. Our family live very close to us and so we get to spend a lot of time together. They are very supportive of our adoption plans and hope to welcome a new member to our large family soon. We are both very close to our parents and love spending time with them. Our parents set great examples for us and we hope to follow in their footsteps. They are eagerly awaiting the joy of being grandparents again and plan on taking an active role in our child's life.
