Kevin & Christa are hopeful adoptive parents from Pennsylvania waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Parents Your baby is blessed to have a mother who loves her child so much, you would consider making such a difficult decision. We know that adoption is an extremely selfless act and one that gives us an opportunity to build our family. We have unconditional love to give and look forward to working with you to make your hopes and dreams for your baby come true. We will provide love, security, fun, learning and every opportunity to succeed in life. We hope and pray that you will be able to do what you feel is right for your baby. We have open hearts, and are ready to add this little bundle of joy to our family. An older brother and sister are already waiting to give your baby love, support and endless fun. We look forward to getting to know you better and to share with your child your strength, courage, and love.

We will be forever grateful,
Kevin and Christa
About Each of Us Kevin:
I am the oldest of five children. My father was in the Army as I grew up. He is fun loving and a strong leader. My Mom taught me about the softer things in life. Because of my Dad's career we moved about every three years. I saw a lot of the country and Europe. I am privileged to have experienced so much culture. I appreciate the good examples my parents have been to me and I aspire to be a good example to my children.
My hobbies include anything that has wheels or a motor. I like to ride them, drive them, work on them and understand how they work. I like to know how all things work. It was a natural choice to become a Mechanical Engineer where I get to build and design things. I also enjoy cars, whether they are remote control or the real thing. During the summer of 2009 I had the chance to drive a race car at the Dover International Speedway. It was an awesome experience.

Christa:
I come from a close knit family, where extended family gathers together for holidays and birthday celebrations. Family is very important to me and I am grateful to be a stay at home mom.
Growing up, I have always enjoyed art and science. In high school, I was in the gifted and talented art program but ultimately decided to get a degree in biochemistry. I worked for several years as a chemist before having our first child. Since then I have enjoyed staying home to raise our two children. I try to make our days fun and educational, teaching our children practical and spiritual lessons for life. With my science career on hold, I have been using my artistic side to capture our memories through scrapbooking. I have also taken up bicycling and participated in my first triathlon this spring.

Spencer:
Spencer is seven and is all boy. He loves playing outside, riding his bike and building things. He is great about helping around the house, and really enjoys helping Daddy fix things. Some of his favorite toys include Legos, cars, and magnets.

Kaylie:
Five year old Kaylie is our independent girly girl. She loves to play with dolls, color and to look at books. Kaylie is also Mommy's little helper and loves to clean things. She loves all things pink and princess. She can't wait to be a big sister and help with the new baby.

We are a fun loving Christian family. We are both college educated and strive to give our children every opportunity to succeed in life. We provide loving discipline and structure, along with lots of fun. We are excited to expand our family and can't wait to share our love with another child.
Starting Our Family We first met at Church in the summer of 1994 when Christa was home from college. We quickly became friends and enjoyed spending time together that summer. Christa never got Kevin's subtle hints so he had to wait until she was home from college the following summer to let her know that he wanted to be more than friends. After dating for 6 months we got engaged and were married in August of 1996.

We were excited to start a family and had no idea of the trials and struggles that we would face in trying to do so. Our marriage has become stronger as we have supported each other and we have developed a stronger sense of love and gratitude. We are so grateful the Lord has blessed us with a son and a daughter. We know our family is not complete. We realize our desire to bring more children into our family will happen through the miracle of adoption. Early on in our marriage, we knew having children would be a challenge and have always thought of adoption as the right path for our family.

Family Life We are a family that loves to have fun and play together. We have a large backyard and close access to a bike/hiking trail. In the spring, summer, and fall, we are always outside playing, riding bikes and taking walks. Flying kites, driving remote control cars and swinging as high as we can on our swing set, fill our days. Snuggling together reading or watching movies fill our nights. We are hands on, involved parents. We do everything we can to help our children reach their full potential and to make sure our children know they are loved.

Year round fun:
Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, we have developed a tradition for them all.
In the winter, the kids love to come inside to hot cocoa after playing in the snow. Spencer could play in the snow for hours. Kaylie on the other hand, thinks the best part of playing in the snow is coming inside to get hot cocoa. At Christmas time, we spend several days visiting with extended family. There are always numerous parties for us to attend and we enjoy catching up with friends and family we haven't seen in a while. We also enjoy hosting a New Year's Eve party to celebrate with our family and friends. Last year our kids even stayed up till midnight.
At Easter time, we dye eggs and have eggs hunts at the Grandparents houses. We also make sure to attend the local egg hunt which has hundreds of eggs filled with candy.
Summer time fun always involves going to the beach and some times an additional vacation. Last year we went to Disney World. Spencer loved the roller coasters, especially Mt. Everest which he rode on twice. Kaylie was content to visit the princesses and thoroughly enjoyed her 'Breakfast with Cinderella'.
In the Fall, we go to a pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin. Spencer usually gets the biggest one he can carry, while Kaylie prefers a cute little pumpkin. The kids color the faces on the pumpkins while Mom and Dad try to follow the lines and carve out the pumpkins. There are several trick or treat activities and the kids dress up as different characters for each one. It comes as no surprise that Kaylie has always chosen to be a princess.
What makes these activities more fun is that we often do them with extended family members such as the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. Most of our extended family lives within 2 hours and we are able to spend time with them several times a month. Making fun family memories that we'll remember for years to come, really helps to strengthen our family bonds.

Our home:
We live in a great neighborhood just outside of town. The greatest thing about it is that we are so close to Kevin's job that he actually walks to work. Because of this, he is able to come home for lunch and play with the kids. We have plenty of room in our home for more children and look forward to filling up every bedroom. Our house is in a safe neighborhood with many other young families. Since we spend a lot of time outdoors, we have gotten to know everyone on our street. There are a couple of other stay at home moms and our children love to play together. We are within walking/biking distance to a few parks. We are just an hour or two away from many historical and fun places to visit such as Hershey Park, Philadelphia, NY, and the Baltimore aquarium. There is so much to do and we enjoy taking advantage of all the nearby attractions.
