Hello!! We are Heather, Austin, and Kevin from Georgia! We are delighted that you are taking the time to visit us here on the web! Let us tell you a little about our family...

We met over 21 years ago, while still in high school and are indeed "high school sweethearts!" We have been happily married for fifteen years and look forward to a lifetime more! We are very much in love and are the others best friend. Even after all this time together, we still love to simply hang out, laugh, and have lots of fun!

We were blessed to become Austin's parents several years ago through open adoption. Austin's adoption was a wonderful experience and we are very lucky to have a terrific relationship with his birth-family. We enjoy spending time together and we have built a relationship with Austin's birth-family that will last a lifetime. Adoption has been an extremely positive and loving experience for all of us and we are so excited to be expanding our family by adopting again!

We have an infinite amount of love to share and we promise to welcome you and your baby into our hearts unconditionally. Even though we have a very close relationship with Austin's birth-family, it is important to us that you know that we are open to any amount of contact that you are comfortable with and that meets your needs. We are excited to get to know you and for you to get to know us.

Neighborhood and Home We live in wonderful city just outside of Atlanta. There are neighborhood road races, cookouts, carnivals, festivals, fire work shows, and parades. We cannot wait to see our children laughing, singing, and playing at these events! We especially love the "Beach Weekend" when the city Square is transformed into a beach. Building sand castles on the Square and listening to beach music with our children will be so much fun! We are just around the corner from many large playgrounds. Our neighborhood is filled with oodles of children and our church, which is close by, is too!

Our home is a wonderful, spacious place where we enjoy spending time with family and friends. Our backyard is fenced with plenty of room to play, not to mention the play set where we spend a lot of time climbing and sliding! We happen to share our home with our playful, gentle dog, Bella, who is wonderful with children! Bella loves to play fetch and we can't wait to see Austin and his little brother or sister tossing the ball with her on a sunny day!

Hobbies and Careers We enjoy participating in many sports together including soccer, swimming and water & snow skiing. Austin can't wait to teach his little brother or sister how to score a goal on Dad! Heather loves to cook and Kevin enjoys working outdoors. We all enjoy playing games (family game night - is so FUN!), family vacations, eating at quirky restaurants, going to the movies, listening to music, heading out for a hiking adventure and traveling both locally and abroad. We look forward to many camping trips and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. We have traveled to many foreign countries and are looking forward to taking our children with us so that they can experience and explore other cultures. We are especially excited to see the look on our children's faces when they see the Eiffel Tower for the very first time, see the Pyramids in Egypt up close, or see wild animals while on a safari in Africa.

More than anything, we enjoy spending time together as a family and creating those special memories that are valuable beyond words!

Kevin is a Cancer Epidemiologist and the Director of a Cancer Center. His job is very flexible and allows him to spend lots of time with our family! He is looking forward to afternoon picnics in the park with our children.

Heather works at a pharmacy a few hours a week, while Austin is in preschool. She is looking forward to becoming a full-time stay at home Mom again and can't wait for afternoon play-dates and ice cream outings!!

Friends Family and Parenting We both were lucky to come from two-parent families that were supportive, loving, happy, and fun! We are very close to our families and enjoy frequent cookouts, movies, and family vacations. Both of our immediate families live close and are super excited to welcome the newest addition into our family! We have three nephews and one niece who are busting at the seams for a new cousin! Great-grandma is excited to teach our children how to play Nintendo!! Grandma loves to garden and can not wait to see four little hands digging for earthworms in the dirt! And, Nena and Grand-daddy are equally excited to see our children enjoy exploring the great outdoors! We both have large extended families who are delighted about us adopting again. We are also very fortunate to have a large circle of friends and all are thrilled that our families will continue to grow together! Austin is so excited to become a big brother. He can't wait to teach his little brother or sister all he knows!

For us, being parents has been a dream come true! We love each and every moment of our family life. Family is very important to us and is our number one priority. We will be sure that our children have the opportunity to attend the best schools and participate in activities that are of interest to them. We will encourage them to dream big and provide them with the support to follow those dreams. We will provide unconditional love, support, and encouragement for our children. We will also assure that our children are surrounded by a ton of laughter, adventure and opportunity. Being parents is, by far, the most important, fulfilling, and rewarding role we will ever have!
