Jeramy & Jessica are hopeful adoptive parents from Tennessee waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

How We Came To Be! Dear friends,
We can't even begin to imagine what you must be going though, your thoughts, fears, and maybe even some doubts. We appreciate you taking the time to look at us and learn more about us. Our names are Jeramy and Jessie.

Jeramy and I met while he was serving an ecclesiastical mission in Knoxville, Tennessee, and we didn't like each other at all! We would constantly make fun of each other and when he would come to dinner I would give him bread and water before serving him a meal. Once he was home, we would email each other occasionally. It was a huge surprise when he sent me flowers for my birthday. I called him to thank him, and we have talked every day since. At that time I was attending nursing school in Tennessee and he was building fences in Idaho. I graduated nursing school in May of 2006, moved to Salt Lake, and he moved down shortly after. We were married November 21, 2006 in the Albuquerque New Mexico temple, and my grandfather performed the ceremony.
About Us Jeramy is very quiet and reserved, and I am loud and energetic - polar opposites. We believe that's why we work so well together. We both are very close with our families and make it a priority to see them as often as possible.

Jeramy is in school, with hopes of going to dental school in 2010 (he is counting down)! I am a RN, with experience in the Emergency Department. I love it! Everyday is something different, and I have to admit that I am an avid adrenaline junkie, though only in the hospital setting. Jeramy loves the adrenaline rush with fast cars, high contact sports, and snowboarding... and I put my head down and close my eyes.

Jeramy's favorite day would be fishing and playing Frisbee. I love to fish too, but not quite as much as he does! I can't throw a Frisbee very well, but I do love to bruise my arms playing volleyball. Recently we have started riding our bikes around the neighborhood, although Jessie still has to walk the bike up the steep hills. In the winter, we love to watch Hockey, (the Ice Bears in Tennessee are our favorite of course).

We have a dog named Lizzy, she is just over a year old and is a Shepard mix. She makes us laugh everyday, and loves to stick her cold nose in our faces if we are taking a nap. Lizzy is like a little kid because she will get in between us if we are sitting down next to each other - she wants to be the center of attention.

I am finishing up my Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with plans to graduate in August 2009. One day I would like to get my Master's degree and be able to teach nursing....hopefully when Jeramy starts Dental school, I will be able to go back to school as well.
Our Family Jeramy is from a little town in Idaho, Pocatello. The majority of his family (immediate and extended) live close to there as well. When we were dating, he would go play Frisbee with his 2nd and 3rd cousins! Jeramy has 2 sisters, both younger. Kristi and Elisa both dance. Kristi just received her Bachelor's Degree in sign language, and Elisa just finished her Freshman year at Idaho State University. Jeramy's dad is a Chiropractor, and his mom is the manager of their company.

Jessie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived there until she was 9, when her family moved to Tennessee. At first she hated every moment in Tennessee, but eventually it grew on her. This is home for her and she loves being around the green trees and fireflies. Her dad is an Engineer and was transferred out here; her mom is a Physical Therapy Assistant and works at a local hospital. Jessie is the 2nd oldest of 4 kids - 1 older sister, 1 younger brother, and 1 younger sister. Kim, the oldest, received a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, and is currently a stay at home mom with 6 kids! Danny is in school with plans to graduate next year with a degree in Construction Management, and Stephanie is graduating in one year with a degree is psychology. She wants to then go on and become a Physician Assistant.

Both Jeramy and I have very strong family beliefs. These beliefs include knowing that the family is the most central aspect in this life and it is most important above all. We both understand and respect the sanctity of marriage and strive everyday to show each other how much we love one another. Our families are a great support to us.
Our desire to adopt We have been trying to have children since we were first married, and have always talked openly about adoption. Jeramy and I have always focused our lives around the family, and welcome an opportunity to have children in whatever fashion they may come.

We are interested in open adoption plans with pictures, letters, emails, and phone calls. We want the child to understand the concept of adoption at an early age. Adoption isn't foreign to us, however, neither of our families have a lot of experience with it. Our families have been so excited and supportive of us since we told them of our plans. They have helped strengthen our goals to be parents.

We have realized during our time together, and much to our astonishment, that we aren't always told why we have certain trials. Go figure! Jessie's grandfather always says, "Have faith. Full steam ahead!" We want you to know that we love each other with everything we have and we cherish our family above all else.

We wish you the best in whatever decisions you make. Full steam ahead!

Sincerely,
Jeramy and Jessie
