Michael & Kristine are hopeful adoptive parents from New Jersey waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Getting to Know Michael and Kristine
For us adoption will end in only joy. At some point in this journey, we will receive a baby who will make us more than just Kristine and Michael- this child will help us become a family. We know you are dealing with a very difficult decision and all the trials and tribulations that come with it. And though the three of us have been brought to this moment due to different circumstances, our reason for pursuing adoption is the same- the love of a child. Everyone knows the courage birth mothers show when they consider making adoption plans. All we can do is thank you for the effort you are making and do what you feel is best for your child.
As strange as it may sound, things happen for a reason. We were meant to have our lives touched by the miracle of adoption. We believe the same is true for you. That’s why we have faith we will find the right birth-mother and baby and you will find the right adoptive family. We appreciate you taking the time to get to know us. We hope our words and pictures will communicate how much love we have to give your child.
Our names are Kristine and Michael. We met while working for a local YMCA. I was a childcare director and Mike worked in customer service. We knew instantly we were meant to be with one another. Three years later we were engaged. Mike asked me to marry him while on the beach in Cape May, NJ. He asked me to put together a puzzle that read, “Will you marry me?” Our wedding was beautiful. We were married in a catholic church and our reception was on the beach. The day was so special, one we will treasure forever.
We have no other children, but have two dogs named Dudley and Peanut. Dudley is a six year old lab mix. Peanut is an eight year old beagle. Both are good friends and love to play in our large yard. They love Scooby snacks. You can see their pictures in our profile.
Mike is an elementary school teacher. He teaches fourth grade and I teach third grade. We have both graduated with a Master’s Degree in School Administration and Supervision. One of the advantages of us both working in the school system is that we have similar time-off during holiday and summer vacations, which gives us that extra time for family activities.
Mike enjoys playing golf; He also attends a wide range of sporting events. I love to cook, garden and spend time with our dogs. We both enjoy the beach (which is a close distance). Mike and I sometimes go to New York City on a Saturday to take long walks in Central Park or visit the museums. We also do volunteer work with an organization that feeds the hungry in inner city areas.
We both have extended families that live nearby. My parents (whom we are very close with) live in the next town over. My mother has worked for 25 years for a nearby community hospital. My father is semi-retired and works part-time in sales. My brother, his wife and their two daughters (ages 8 and 13) also live nearby. My brother is a volunteer Deputy Fire Chief and also works full-time for a pharmaceutical company. My sister-in-law is an office manager for a large law firm. My maternal aunt lives in the same town as us, and we are also quite close.
Mike has a large family. His parents divorced when he was 10 years old. His dad lives few miles away and is now remarried. He has an adopted daughter (age 20) with his wife of 14 years. Mike’s grandmother also lives with his father and step mother. Mike’s mother is also remarried and lives about an hour away. She has 2 daughters (ages 16 and 18). Mike also has many aunts, uncles and cousins that we are close with on his mother’s side.
We both feel strongly that we have so much to offer to a child, most importantly our love and commitment. We choose the teaching profession because of our love for children. We will always protect our child and will put their needs before ours. We have a bedroom located next to ours that will be used as the baby’s room. It is ready for the little one. We will provide our child with a loving, caring and nurturing environment. Our home has a large yard in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our town has a highly rated school system. The neighborhood has many other children, and our community provides many social events for family participation.
We would certainly be interested in maintaining a relationship with you throughout your pregnancy. We would also like to send photos and letters through the years.
Thank you for spending time to get to know us. Like we said in the beginning, we truly believe adoption is a miracle. We are hopeful you find the right adoptive family to make yours and your baby’s dreams come true.
