Jesse & Jamie are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello, We want you to know that, while we cannot fully understand the magnitude of the decisions you are faced with, we admire the courage, strength and love you have demonstrated by making an adoption plan for your child. Adoption will be discussed openly in our home. Our child will have a true understanding of the miracle of adoption and how your sacrifice out of love has positively impacted his/her life. We hope you will feel peace and comfort from your choices, whatever they may be, and wish you the best through your journey.
About Us We are Jesse and Jamie and we share a home with our adorably sweet dog Sammy on a tree-lined street in an established neighborhood in a large city in Texas. We are proud that our cozy home was built in the 1940s and is full of history and character. Although we are minutes away from museums, sports arenas, shopping and restaurants, our neighborhood is quaint and family-oriented, with access to award-winning schools, a large lake, golf courses and parks.

Ten years ago, during a college study abroad program in Spain we developed an interest in each other and have been together ever since. If you ask our family and friends about us they would all agree we are similar in our dependability, soft hearts and humor. They would also agree we are different in ways that make us balanced. Jesse is a bit more reserved while Jamie is more outgoing. Jamie is kind of clumsy while Jesse is very careful. Jesse prefers news magazines while Jamie has a weakness for gossip and fashion magazines. Over the last four years, we built upon our relationship as a married couple, worked hard to establish our careers and traveled whenever possible.

We are fortunate to have wonderfully supportive and loving extended families. Jamie is very close to her parents and younger sister and brother and Jesse is very close to his parents and younger brother. Most of Jamie’s extended family lives in a small resort town in Colorado. Jesse’s extended family lives a short drive away. During celebrations and holidays, we share love and laughter with grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Although we enjoy visiting with family and friends and are hard workers, we value spending time with each other above all else. Whether it is touring the Coliseum in Rome, lounging on the couch watching a corny TV show, or making dinner, our happiest times are together.

Throughout our relationship we have talked about our future and our discussions have always included children. We are settled and secure both personally and financially and feel we are capable of providing a happy and safe environment in which a child can thrive in the midst of unconditional love. Our decision to adopt came naturally to us and we look forward to realizing our dream of parenthood and expanding our family through adoption.
About Jamie While I take some things very seriously (like my relationships with my family and friends), I try to approach life with a positive and fairly relaxed attitude. I pride myself on my ability and willingness to see situations from all sides and not unfairly judge others. My interest in people prompted me to pursue an advanced degree in Psychology. In my free time, I enjoy (enjoy might be a bit of an overstatement) attending kickboxing classes and, when the weather is nice, running at a nearby lake. While I believe physical activity is important, I am not obsessive about exercise and realize some days (especially rainy days) are best spent curled up with a great book. I love to read and hope to instill in our child the enjoyment that can come from a great book. In addition to books, I am fascinated by fashion. When I was I child I dreamed of becoming a clothing designer. Also, I enjoy cooking and, although I typically make a huge mess in the process, I like to try new recipes. I have always pictured my life with a child and can’t wait to be a mom. Raising a child will be the most important responsibility of my life—a gift I will never take for granted.
About Jesse I have many passions and hobbies, many of which I’m fortunate to share with Jamie. I love to travel, try new restaurants, play the guitar, watch sporting events, cook, read, play golf, go to concerts, and watch movies. My job as a corporate attorney keeps me pretty busy, but the work is always interesting and I get to meet lots of interesting people and help them solve their problems. Although my work is very serious, I manage to have a good time with it and I make a point to leave work at the office. I think my friends value my opinion because they know I’ll tell them exactly what I think even if it isn’t exactly what they want to hear. As a child I was fun-loving and even a little mischievous (in a mostly good way), and I think I’ve managed to carry forward the best parts of my childhood personality into my life as an adult. I’m always up for pulling a prank on a friend (even sometimes Jamie) and I look forward to teaching a child a few tricks of the trade.

Thank you for taking time to learn a little bit about us. We are so excited about becoming parents. Whatever life brings us, our child will remain our number one focus, the light of our lives. As parents, while we feel it is our solemn responsibility to provide our child with everything he/she needs and deserves, we will strive to balance both the gift of opportunity with the sense of accomplishment brought on by hard work and dedication. Although we are the first to admit we are not perfect, we will strive to teach by example. Throughout our child’s life, we will embrace and encourage the sharing of photos and letters with you. However, if this is something you feel is not in your best interests, we will respectfully support your decision. While there is so much we would like to share with you, we hope our profile introduced you to who we are and of course if there is anything else you would like to know about us, we would be happy to speak with you.

Warmly,

Jesse & Jamie
