DEAR BIRTHPARENT, You should be proud of the decision you are making about placing your child for adoption. This act shows that you are a loving, caring, and courageous person for making this selfless and unconditional decision. As the parents of a 3-year-old son, we understand your concern to find the perfect adoptive parents committed to providing your baby with unconditional love, affection and opportunities in life. We hope you will take the time to read our profile and learn why it is important for us to adopt your baby. May God be with you. Send us a message
Our Story: We are William "Bill" and Michelle. We met when a mutual friend introduced us during a karaoke and comedy night event. We had an instant connection, and after talking for hours, we found that we had a lot in common. We had a long distance relationship where we spent a lot of time texting, emailing, sending instant messages, and talking on the phone. As our love and affection grew, Bill decided to move to Michelle’s area and we got married.

Then a few years later, our miracle baby, our son Will, was born. It was a very difficult pregnancy and Will has surgery five hours after birth. He spent the first 30 days of his life in the hospital but now he is a healthy 3 year old with lots of energy. This was a very difficult time for us but our love, affection and patience’s grew by leaps and bounds. Will is the light of our life and has given us an enormous amount of love, joy, and fulfillment. He is an affectionate, playful, and caring 3-year- old who enjoys playing with other kids, especially outside. He even enjoys holding babies and asks us when he can have a baby brother or sister! He will be a wonderful big brother, and we look forward to watching him grow up with a sibling. We have tried for over two years to have another baby with many failed fertility treatments. We have more love to offer, which is why we have chosen to adopt. We love and enjoy being parents.
Our Home, Our Life Together: We are blessed to have a spacious 5-bedroom home in a suburban- metropolitan area in Virginia. We enjoy the activities and benefits of both the country and city life. Our Home is filled with love, affection, laughter, playtime, and of course toys. There is always something fun going on in our house. When you walk in the front door of our home you will find toys everywhere. In the foyer, there is a basketball hoop, (a small one I might add), a small bicycle and a small sliding board in the living room, and a mini trampoline in the family room. Another name for our family room is the “Toy Room”, as the Toys have taken over the entire room. We have created a small hiding place with a tent for Will as “His hiding place” and have toys arranged on the shelf’s all over the room. Will loves to help Mommy cook in the kitchen and play with his pretend kitchen. It is not uncommon for the three of us to be sitting on the floor playing with all the toys in the evening having fun. One of our favorite family activities occurs near the end of each day; when we read Will his bedtime stories together.

Other activities we enjoy outside the house are taking Will to a playground, going for a walk in the parks, visit museums, watching a community theater play or dance, and spend time with friends and neighbors. Our days are filled with spending time together and having fun at what ever we are doing, even if it is just sitting and watching TV or a movie together.

We enjoy planting our gardens in the spring, camping and swimming in the summer, and going to the fall festival to carving pumpkins in the fall. We’re active even in winter with sledding and snowmobile riding. And we cannot forget Will's favorite activities: mowing grass and shoveling snow. He just moves the snow around and Mommy and Daddy have to do the real work to get the mini van out of the garage. And we hope he will want to really mow the grass when he is old enough to do it.

We take small weekend trips through out the year - camping, going to bike races to cheer Bill on and to visit family members. We also have several vacation traditions as well. Each summer we spend a week with Bill’s mom at her lake house in Maine. There we get to swim, play in the lake and (new this past year) to take a ride in our new boat. It is amazing how a small air inflated boat can whisk away 3 people for some fun.

Then we are beach bound with Michelle’s family for another week’s vacation. Her parents, siblings, and aunt and their families all rent a 20 person house at the beach for a week. We have a blast building sandcastles and playing in the swimming pool until the sun goes down. We are getting to the point that the adults are being out numbered by the children, yet the more children we have, the more fun it is. All of the kids love getting together and playing. Will gets to see his first and second cousins several times a year and on holidays. They are all great friends.

About Michelle:
Michelle grew up in small town, and is the oldest of four children. She is very affectionate and loving person. She is outgoing, fun-loving and would do almost anything for a friend. Her main focus in life is to be a good mother and wife. She is very close with her parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Holidays and family events are usually celebrated by large gatherings of her immediate family and her large but close-knit extended family. When she is not visiting with her family, she stays in touch with family members via Facebook and frequent phone conversations.

Michelle is considered the family photographer, which is why she is not in a lot of our pictures. She enjoys creating digital scrapbooks of Will, special occasions, and family gatherings. She enjoys traveling in the USA and Europe. Her hobbies include: baking, arts & crafts, gardening, and home improvement projects. She puts her undergraduate and graduate degrees in mechanical engineering to use by working various home improvement project such as building a swing set and tree house for Will. Will loves helping with the projects with his "real" and "play" tools. He likes to join in whatever activity we are doing. Michelle enjoys teach Will how to use all of the tools her father taught her when she was young. Michelle can be a “tom boy” one minute and a beautiful princess the next.

About Bill:
Bill grew up in a small town where his father was a college professor and his mother was an artist. Bill is a wonderful father and husband. He likes to spend time as a family and teach Will about the ways of the world. We split all of the household chores together so we have more time for fun activities. Yes, even Will has a few chores, his favorite is folding the wash cloth.

Bill grew up traveling with his parents and spent time studying in Europe during high school and college. As a child Bill spent the summers with his parents at their lake house in Maine. He is a very athletic person and played baseball and football in school. He took to road bike racing as an adult (Lance Armstrong want-a-be!). Bill enjoys bicycle racing at the master’s level. He has competed and won in races across the USA. Two years ago he won the best all around rider award for his age category in our area. He has won this award for every age category since he was 20 years old. Of course he has taught Will how to ride a bike at 2 years old, with training wheels of course!

After earning his degree in geology, Bill began working in the environmental field to clean up contaminated soils and ground water. Later, he decided to follow another interest and pursued information technology. He is now a project manager and computer systems engineer in the IT Field. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as landscaping and creating rock walls at the family lake house in Maine. He also loves traveling, reading, writing and drawing. Bill is a wonderful father who enjoys teaching Will all about the world and having fun while doing it.

Our Promise to You is that we will always love and cherish you and your baby forever. Your baby will always know the gift of love, courage, selflessness, and opportunities you provided them. If it was not for your selfless act of love, we would not have the opportunity to give our son a sibling, a playmate, and grow our family.

We look forward to the opportunity to open our hearts, share our lives, and provide unconditional love for another child. We believe children should feel special, secure and loved, therefore we are willing to have an “Open Adoption” to the extent you are comfortable.
