Hello, Birth Parents Dear Birth Parents,

First, we want to say that we admire you for considering an adoption plan for your baby. This must be the most difficult decision you've ever had to make. We cannot begin to know what all you must be going through, but we hope that you can take your difficult choice and make something beautiful happen. We would love to be the ones to raise your child.

What Sort of Parents We Would Be We are a well-educated, professional, financially secure couple living in a mid-sized Midwest city. While we have always loved children, and we have warm one-to-one relationships with each of our seventeen nieces and nephews, we were unable to have our own biological child.

With us, your child would enjoy comfort and security and the love of two doting parents. We have both worked as teachers, meaning that we will make sure our child is well-educated and attends the finest schools. We also love to travel, meaning that our child will have a chance to see the world and learn from many different cultures. We are close to our families and spend time with them as much as we are able—that includes the close connections we have with our nieces and nephews.

Who We Are To tell you more about ourselves, we met in graduate school and have been married for fourteen years. Currently, Alex works as a grant writer for a local social service agency, raising money from national corporations and foundations to help out poor and troubled children in our community. Amy is an associate professor at a college; she loves working closely with her students and watching them grow into their better selves. We have a close circle of friends with whom we enjoy spending time.

We enjoy traveling, experiencing art, theater, live music, movies, and being with friends. We would love the opportunity to raise a child in our home with loving relatives on both sides playing an active role in that child’s life. We will emphasize the importance of education and can offer a child many opportunities. Our goal is to raise a child to be a strong, loving, smart, dedicated human being with the opportunity, education, and upbringing to become anything he or she wants.

Thank You for Considering Us We would be willing to have a semi-open adoption, exchanging photos and letters on a regular basis. We are open to developing a relationship with the baby’s birth family that is comfortable for everyone involved.
