Sam & Marta are hopeful adoptive parents from Wisconsin waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother... We would love to share our love and life with a baby. We want you to know how much we admire your courage and self-lessness as you consider placing your baby for adoption. We hope to give you a peek into our lives so you can learn more about our values, interests and our family. Hopefully this will be helpful as you consider the type of parents you would like to place your precious child with.

We are a young, active couple that has been happily married for ten years. It took us a few years and fertility treatment to become pregnant. We have a daughter, Madigan (Maddy), who is seven, and a son, Jackson, who is five. They bring us so much joy.

After Jackson, we had three miscarriages and were not able to carry a baby to term. Ater experiencing these difficult losses, we knew there must be another plan for us. We began to learn more about open adoption and knew that this was the right path for us. All four of us are so excited to welcome a new little baby into our family. We see open adoption as a benefit to everyone involved—especially your child.

Our Family... Sam (written by Marta)
Sam is a loving and supportive husband who makes life fun and interesting. His sense of humor keeps our family laughing and having fun. I feel so blessed because he is everything I have hoped for in both a husband and father. Sam is a hands-on dad who can often be found out back playing football with Jackson or in the living room dancing with Maddy. He can't wait to hold a little baby in his arms again!

Sam works as a Director of Construction for a local construction company. His construction background comes in really handy, and he 's always working on some project that I have for him. Sam loves what he does and works hard. He enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. He even coached Maddy and Jack’s soccer teams for the first time and loved it!

Marta (written by Sam)
Marta is a caring, giving and genuine person--both as a wife and mom. I feel so lucky that she's my wife. She is such a patient, creative mom that loves spending time with her kids and me too! Marta is so proud of our family--you can see it in her eyes. She would shower a new little baby with so much love.

Marta teaches 2nd grade part-time at the neighborhood school down the block where our kids go. She loves her job and that she can teach half days and be home with our children too. Marta also loves to run and competes in races when there is time. Scrap booking, reading, relaxing in the sun, and playing with the kids are other things she loves to do. For the first time, she began volunteering as Maddy’s Daisy leader which keeps her busy and happy!

Maddy
Maddy is a ray of sunshine and can brighten any room. She is so curious about the world and asks the most thought-provoking questions! She is a first grader who loves to read, write and go to recess! Maddy is so artistic and often makes special little gifts for the rest of us. Her other loves are hip hop, drama, and organizing lemonade stands in the neighborhood. Maddy just can't wait for a new little brother or sister to join our family.

Jackson
Jackson is a sweet and sensitive little boy. He's full of hugs and snuggles. Jackson is a five-year-old who loves board games, sports, helping dad with yard work, and most recently--tying his shoes. We can usually just look out the back window and find him playing football with the neighbor boys! Jackson wonders what it will be like to be a big brother--we know he will be a great one!

More About Us... The two of us went to high school together. Our little sisters were best friends and were always trying to set us up. It finally worked! We joined some friends on a double date and just connected. The rest is history! We dated through college and were married shortly after that.

We love to curl up on the couch and watch movies, go for walks, and travel. In the summer, we head up north to our family cottage where we can swim, boat, and just relax. We enjoy spending weekends with friends and family. There are many young couples and families in our neighborhood, so we often have cookouts and campfires with all the adults and kids. It is so much fun!

In our family, we raise our children to know how important and loved they are. We teach them to accept others for who they are as well. Values such as kindness, honesty, respect and responsibility are forefront in our family and we try to model this for them in our own daily life.

We both have loving, supportive families who are so excited that we have made the decision to adopt. They cannot wait to welcome a new little baby with love.
