Dean & Merisuzan are hopeful adoptive parents from North Carolina waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Mother, Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about us. We can only imagine how difficult this process must be for you. We admire your bravery and courage as you make an adoption plan for your baby. We hope to share with you a glimpse of the love we have for each other and our desire to share that love with a child.

Adoption was an easy choice for us. As a teenager, the desire to adopt was planted in Merisuzan’s heart. For Dean, the positive outcome of adoption was witnessed through his family. His mother and uncle were adopted by his grandparents as newborns. While we were engaged, we talked about having a family and how we felt about adoption. We both agreed adoption is a wonderful way to build a family.

Dean by Merisuzan Dean is a hard-working, dedicated man. He is patient, loving, and generous. He works in the heating and air conditioning field. Dean enjoys his job and does it well. He is also very helpful around the house as he likes to be busy. He gives one hundred percent of himself to the people in his life and activities he enjoys.

Dean enjoys being outside and loves any sport that requires strapping a board to his feet. If he’s not on a snowboard or wakeboard, you can probably find him on his skateboard in the driveway. Just a little time around him and you’ll be a fan of boarding, too! And he’ll gladly teach you how to board if you want to learn. He is a good teacher and will be a great role model for his children.

I can’t wait to see Dean as a dad. Recently, I got a glimpse of how great a dad he will be. I was getting ready one morning while on vacation. I was trying to put a ribbon in my hair and couldn’t get it just right. Dean asked if he could help and proceeded to tie my ribbon into the perfect bow. As he patiently tied and re-tied the bow and pulled the ribbon to make it even, I got a glimpse of how he will be one day helping his little girl get ready for school or teaching our son how to tie his shoestrings.

Dean truly is my best friend. We laugh and play, plan and dream, and share and confide in each other. I love sharing my life with him.

Merisuzan by Dean Merisuzan is a loving, devoted, supportive, and joyful spirit to share my life. We met on a dance floor where I asked her to two-step. Right then, I knew she was the one for me.
Merisuzan is a nurse and works in the labor and delivery area. She enjoys her job so much since she gets to help other people and witness the miracle of birth everyday. She has so much kindness to share and will be a good example to our child.

Merisuzan has been on several mission trips out of country to help the less fortunate and spread God’s good grace among those that don’t know Him yet. Merisuzan has been a youth leader in the church youth group. She loves spending time with children knowing she can make a difference in someone’s life.
Merisuzan grew up doing gymnastics and later taught gymnastics after getting out of school. She enjoys wakeboarding and snowboarding almost as much as me, but some days she just wants to lay out in the sun. She enjoys playing games and hanging out with friends. Merisuzan is a true friend and will be there anytime she is needed.

Merisuzan will make a wonderful mother. She has all the patience in the world; after all she did marry me. She is great with children and adores the innocence of a child’s heart.
Merisuzan makes my world go round. Everyday is better because of her in my life. With God and Merisuzan I am a very blessed man.

We are a very active couple. We love to experience life together doing many different activities. But mostly, we can’t wait to get the opportunity to experience life with a child. We look forward to discovering what his/her favorite activities will be. We will always be there to encourage and support him/her in all that he/she does.

We have so much support in our decision to be parents and to adopt. Our friends and families are so excited and can’t wait for the day we bring our precious little one home. Dean has a brother who is married with an eighteen month old daughter and another daughter on the way. Dean also has a sister who is in college. Merisuzan has two brothers. Each brother has three children. Our families enjoy getting together to celebrate birthdays and holidays. A typical gathering includes good food, sharing stories, playing games, and lots of laughter.

We just moved in to a newly built home in a wonderful neighborhood. There are sidewalks that will be great for riding bikes with friends. As well as, walking trails that lead to a nearby park. Our backyard will be a great place for a swing set and will provide a wonderful place for playing with our dog, Colby. Colby is a nine pound Shi Tzu. He loves to play and is very patient with children.

Thank you again for taking the time to take a glimpse into our lives. We hope you get a sense of who we are and what is important to us. We can assure you that if you choose to place your baby with us, we will always love him/her and provide for him/her throughout his/her life. We look forward to nurturing his/her growth and development into a happy, healthy child and adult.
